Supernova to reveal two new Japanese singles in August!

Pop group Choshinsei (Supernova) will release their 11th single, “Kuriunnare -Kimi ni Aitakute-“, on June 15th, and it’s also been revealed through online shopping sites that the group will release two new singles simultaneously on August 10th.

The first is “Kimi dake wa Hanasanai“, and it’s said to be a pure medium ballad that leaves unwavering feelings for an important person.

“Kimi dake wa Hanasanaide” will come in three versions, two limited editions and a normal edition. Each edition will come with a different jacket, but contain the same tracks.

The cover for limited edition A will have Jihyuk and Geonil, and it will also include a DVD with a PV and a serial number card for an event.

Limited edition B will have Kwangsu and Sungmo on the cover and will come with another jacket randomly selected from six designs.

The regular edition will have Yunhak and Sungje on the cover.

The second single they will release is “Meki☆Love“, and the song is said to have a catchy refrain and be an “impressive” upbeat song. It will come in three editions as well, two limited and a normal edition.

Limited edition A will include a bonus DVD that includes a PV and include 2 application tickets with a serial number for an event.

Limited edition B will have an alternative jacket and 1 of 3 random sticker designs, and it will also come with two application tickets with a serial number for an event.

The normal edition will only include the two application tickets.

Shinseido has also listed some of the details on the singles’ special privileges.

Course A is Choshinsei’s “Chou☆Summer Festival Episode 2” event, and 4,000 names will be chosen at random. The event will take place on August 13th, but the date and time have yet to be determined. Winners are scheduled to be announced by mail only on August 12th.

Course B will be a digital content present from all the members!

Each course can only be applied by one serial number, and it is possible to apply for both courses, but the serial numbers (application cards) must be different. The deadline for both courses are different as well.

Both will start on August 9th at 12:00 PM, but course A will end on August 11th at 23:59 and course B will end on August 14th at 23:59.

B2ST, Supernova, and The Boss appear on Oricon Daily Chart

On June 15th, Korean groups Supernova along with B2ST debuted their newest Japanese singles and both appeared in the top 3 of the Oricon Daily Singles Chart.

Supernova placed second for “Kuriunnare – Kimi ni Aitakute” by selling 28,264 units while B2ST placed third for “BAD GIRL” by selling 21,449 units. In addition, Korean group, The Boss placed 7th on the chart for “Love Bingo!“, which is their second Japanese single.

Popular Johnny’s duo group KinKi Kids placed first with “Time” by selling 70,900 units.

Supernova’s 12th Japanese single 君だけは離さない ( Kimidake wa Hanasanai ) ranked #1 in USEN’s overall KPop chart for the past 50 weeks. Also, last August 17 the 13th single ( メキ☆ラブ ) Meki ☆ Love has ranked #4 in the over all daily charts with Kimidake wa Hanasanai still claiming the #1 spot.

Hallyu stars have begun conquering the Japanese market via endorsements, album release and concerts.

Jang Geun Seuk ranked as the number one with 90 million yen (about 1.27 billion won) gross income.

Kara and SNSD followed on the second spot with both groups earning approximately 50 million yen (approximately 700 million won).

The third spot went to TVXQ with about an earning of 60 million yen, and finally Supernova earning around 30 million yen (about 420 million won).

Professional celebrity photographer Leslie has garnered 10 local and International artists for the Autumn Edition of WWD magazine with the theme:

“MUSIC:” “The Power of Photography” The artists will feature autumn collections of top fashion brands with the likes of GUCCI,PRADA,LOUIS VUITTON,ADIDAS ORIGINALS BY JEREMY SCOTT and more.

“The power of fashion and music” theme is dedicated to the devastated areas in Japan.

The magazine had hit the stores last August 25. Supernova will be featured with designs from: D SQUARED2.

A school in Japan where exchange Korean students ( Yoonhak ) together with Sung je,Sungmo and Jihyuk has arrived.

Kwangsu has arrived earlier together with Geonil. Kwangsu and Yoonhak have known each other since childhood.

The six handsome guys captures every girls’ hearts in the school. They stand out in everything they do.

The six will work in a club that will run for 3 months while enjoying their school life.

Upon Jihyuk’s suggestion to coordinate with the dance department. To decorate the club,the six will seek help from a known childhood friend for free.

Juno is the one in charge for running the club’s income while the students are busy with school. One day,with their surprise a debt collector presented to them that they owe 9 million won and due date is tomorrow. The said guy, Juno has gone missing leaving the six to pay for the big debt.

While waiting for Juno to return they came to meet Maki, someone who seem to have a different personality when she is out of school.

Maki has agreed to help the boys re-build the club. With their hard work the club has been running succesfully until they knew that the debt collector is Maki’s father. Her father has ordered to close the club and sell every single things around. Yoonhak has been desperate as they begged to give them another week to earn the money. He made a deal that if they fail, they will agree to be deported back to Korea.

The boys worked hard. They served the best shows and foods. The climax of the story lies when Yunhak and Kwangsu both fell inlove with Maki.

This movie is a must watch to see if the boys are smart enough to go thru the difficulties of paying the debt in a week.

- son of an industrial and financial businessman

He is known to have a good way of appealing to people.

Something he has acquired from his mom. But since his father died,

his mom has been depressed and her treatment to people and her son

has changed.

- Son of the schoolmaster of Korean traditional performing arts.

He is the most sought after of girls from school having a gentle personality.

he is the most witty among the group and knows how to use his charm to attract people.

Kwangsu ( 18 years old )

- Son of poplar celebrities and will play as the DJ in the club.

He has a cool personality and have a great love for himself.

He has known Yoonhak since childhood and has always wanted to be a celebrity himself.

Sung Mo ( 18 years old )

- Is a son of top designers and a rock and roll singer.

He has the tendency to bully women as he believes that a woman

should always be under a man’s objectives.

But on the other hand, has found himself being inlove with a woman with a sweet personality.

Jihyuk ( 18 years old )

- Son of a major restaurant chain owner. His character in the movie will be a Food staff.

He loves Korean food though his personality in this movie is a clumsy guy who doesn’t

have much confidence in himself. But he will be able to develop a new menu as well.

- Son of the director of a major bank. Will play as an english proficient emcee.

He is a tall guy with a bright personality. He will also worrk hand in hand with Kwangsu being the DJ.\

Supernova sells out their 15 concert tour in Japan

Hallyu stars Supernova have stunned representatives once again by completely selling out 15 concerts in 11 different cities!

All together, the seats total up to 35,000, making for an incredible feat. Maru Entertainment commented, “Starting with Sapporo on September 1st, the tour will go through Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya, and other cities. Considering the fact that the tour hasn’t even started, the group is already receiving much interest.”

Supernova headed over to Japan before the second Hallyu wave really picked up. They began living in Japan in 2008 and have set records that unfortunately aren’t as well known as they should be. All 13 of their singles have placed in the top 6 on the Oricon chart and they’ve sold out every concert they’ve had last year and this year.

This tour in particular, “Supernova Live Tour 2011 Make It“, is their first official tour with an actual title. Representatives continued, “Despite having to promote both in Korea and Japan, as well as having their own individual activities, the members rehearsed until the early morning. They’re all excited for it and have even participated in the directing of the concert.”

In related news, Supernova released their 12th and 13th singles, which have both placed in 3rd and 4th on the Oricon weekly chart. They’ve also been cast as the leading roles for the upcoming movie, ‘Our After School’, while member Sungje is working on his Japanese musical, ‘200-Pound Beauty‘ in addition to everything else.

Q: Your thoughts on your song Kimidake wa Hanasanai being the theme song for the NHK drama ” Gold Fish club “?

Yunaku: This song refers to a long distance relationship.We love ballads and this song tells our feelings

towards how we miss Japan when we are in Korea.

How was the recording?

Sung Mo: When I initially heard the demo of this song, my reaction was ” it is really a good song ” where we

have to sing with too much emotion so we have to practice hard.

Geonil: Normally when I rap most of the members and the people in the studio listens to me.

Have you experienced a long distance relationship?

Yunhak: ( laughing ) yes back in College. The acosutic version of this song reminds me of that very much when I sang it.

Sungje: I had a previous relationship when we were still a trainee. But I did not have any time for my friends and family and it did not work.

“Meki ☆ Love” was also released simultaneously. Your thoughts about it?

Sungje: it sounds more like SUPERSTAR that has become one of the greatest release.

Geonil: The lyrics is really addictive. It refers to being inlove.

Your new movie ” After school for us “, it is the OST as well. How was filming it?

Yunhak: Playing the role as Korean students and working with Aya-chan is not a problem for us. But the role of being

18 year olds and wearing those uniforms are embarrasing.

Kwangsu: We watched Japanese drama and I enjoyed filming.

Jihyuk: It is always fun filming though quite embarassing and am used to being bullied. ( laughs )

Sung Mo: There is me singing solo and everyone watched me.

Sungje: I have a complicated scene and must know how to deliver my lines well. I thought it was hard but it is not afterall.

Geonil: There is a scene where I have to cry and it took 20 takes to perfect the scene. It’s really hard to cry acting.

Which of the two songs you would likely sing in a Karaoke?

Sungmo: Kimidake wa Hanasanai, I read the lyrics very well before I sing. As much as possible I wanna show my emotion when I sing.

Geonil: Meki ☆ Love, I had to practice my rap very well for there are some lines that I have to give stress on.

Yoonhak: Meki ☆ Love, The lyrics is so erotic ( laughs ). I can imagine singing this for a woman. When we go to karaoke I make sure that

am always there.

Your thoughts about your upcoming Live concerts:

Geonil: I have always wanted to do a national tour. I think it’s an achievement.

Jihyuk: I wanna be closer to our fans, I will surely perform well.

Sung Mo: I have been waiting to do a National tour. I want to perform well and keep good memories with me.

[NEWS] Supernova snags $500,000 contract for ‘Talent Cosmetic’ endorsement

Hallyu group Supernova has snagged a one-year modeling contract with cosmetics brand ‘Talent Cosmetic‘. Their contract was estimated to be worth $500,000 USD!

The boys took some time off from their busy promotions in Japan to head to Korea for the photoshoot. All of the cosmetics brands in Korea seem to be intent on expanding their business overseas, as Supernova rounded out the list of Hallyu stars currently working as models for make-up companies. Some include The Face Shop‘s Kim Hyun Joong, Missha‘s TVXQ, Tony Moly‘s T-ara, Holika Holika‘s CNBLUE, and Bobby Pet‘s F.T. Island.

Japan Daily Economic issued by the Entertainment weekly will release an issue in October that will feature articles on Kpop. The most popular KPop group in Men’s division surprisingly after TVXQ is Supernova.

Perhaps people in Korea will be very well surprised by this news. Supernova, the group who debuted in 2007 has not been active in Korea. But in Japan, they are one of the hottest groups. They have released 2 singles ( Kimidake wa Hanasanai and Meki ☆ Love ) simultaneously last Aug. 10 which immediately ranked in the at 3rd and 4th place respectively.

Supernova has been active in Japan since 2009. Not being so popular in Korea but has been receiving enormous support and success in Japan. Since then the group has been doing well in the industry with the likes of TVXQ,BOA and KARA.

They have been one of the groups leading the Hallyu wave in Japan with their September Live Tour “Make it ” being sold out with 35000 seats in total.
