Main Information

In 2010, 'Geng Xin', Han Geng's concert in Beijing. It was held on 17th and 18th July 2010 at the Beijing Exhibition Hall. This is Han Geng's first solo concert after his debut. The theme of this concert was set as <Geng Xin>, which symbolized Han Geng's brand new journey and presentation of his work from his heart. It emphasized the improvements and evolution of Han Geng's singing and dancing skills. During the concert, Han Geng also tried many different performing style which he had never tried before. 

On the music side, other than the usual <singing and dancing>, to show Han Geng's personal views in regards to music from different angles, they infused orchestral music, percussion music and unplugged music, these were genres that Han Geng had not tried before. <Unplugged> was used to show Han Geng's clear and bright voice, at the same time, working with a top notch percussionist from China allowed his fans to know more about Han Geng. They used the newest technology in Europe, <Invisible Floating Visual Panel>, it showed a virtual 3-dimensional Han Geng dancing with the real Han Geng, <The Scientific Dance Show>. This gave all fans an unbelievable and cool feel!

       After Super Junior-M participated in the recording of 《快乐蓝天下•中国梦想秀》 (Happiness Under the Blue Sky – China Dreams Show) to help their fans achieve their dreams last Sunday, former SJ-M captain Hangeng also participated in the recording of the same episode of the show yesterday. This is the first time after Hangeng broke away from SJ-M where both parties performed on the “same stage”. On the same day of his recording, Hangeng , with the identity of YISHION’s spokesmen, also partook in YISHION TEEBOX Ribbon-cutting ceremony at YISHION’s flag store titled “Fashionable YISHION, More Trend-Setting Faster”, where he interacted with a thousand ecstatic fans. Liu Miao finally realized her dream last night, and during the recording, she excitedly said, “I even set the weather report to the name Hangeng, because whenever I receive the weather report it’s like I’ve received a message from Hangeng.” Seeing such a loyal fan, Hangeng’s eyes became moist: “In fact I think Liu Miao is very strong, everyone of us needs to live optimistically and determinedly like Liu Miao, the setbacks we face now is only temporary, if we face problems with determination we can overcome any difficulties.”

Hangeng, from a young ethnic Hezhe graduate of The Central University for Nationalities to the wildly popular Asia pop newcomers’ king, has experienced so much more than the other people of his age did as he just reached 27. Every course of life Hangeng has travelled through accelerated his maturity; though people say, “Stand on one’s own feet at thirty”, Hangeng can already look back and reminisce the events of his life. Through many years of sweet and bitterness, of walking on winding roads, Hangeng successfully terminated his contract with SME, started over from the beginning, and unexpectedly produced impressive work in a short amount of time. Q: What do you think your clothing style is?

A: The colors I like are simple, but whether clothing or pants, there would be intricate details or accessories.

Q: The Classic One-Piece Clothing in your Closet?

A: Mostly coats/jackets, especially suits, I think they go well with most accessories, so I wear them often during activities.

Q: Are you someone who likes accessories a lot?

A: Yes, because the black, white and gray colors I usually wear are dull enough, so I need accessories to embellish the clothing, I like necklaces, rings, and bracelets. When I go to different places either for work or on vacation, I really like to buy distinctive local adornments.

Q: Does your experiences in Korea influence your fashion style?

A: Of course there would be some influence, but what I wear can still be distinguished as the “Hangeng Model”, a lot of people say you can only wear your own cloths, there are a lot of parts. Actually you can wear whatever you’d like, you just have to have your own characteristics.

Q: Your fondest memory of an attire?

A: In a recent performance I wore a black vest. I haven’t worn clothing from this genre in a long time; in recent years I wore suits and whatnot non-stop. I think wearing the vest for the first time in a while feels pretty good.

Q: Where do you like to buy your cloth the most?

A: I’m not someone who blindly buys brand names. I really like to go to other countries and buy clothing by local designers; they have no generic feel at all and the designers usually only make one or two pieces of a particular clothing, the price is also not expensive, the important thing is another star and I won’t be wearing the same clothing.

Q: What is something you have bought recently that you like very much?

A: I bought a piece of clothing from Japan, if you just look at it, it doesn’t seem to be clothing at all, just a shape, other people don’t know how to wear it. Actually there are more than one way to wear it, you can place your arms through whichever holes and wrap it around you in different ways. It’s very interesting.

Q: What kind of clothing would a girl that is most attractive to you wear?

A: Fresh, fashionable, and simple, as long as it looks comfortable. She doesn’t have to wear the black, white and gray that I like.

Q: Many people like to imitate what the stars wear, do you have any thoughts on that?

A: My advice still is to have your own style, don’t blindly imitate, even if two of the most similar people wear the same clothing they don’t look identical. You have to know when the clothing doesn’t suit you, to be fashionable is to be individualistic.

Q: What type of clothing do you like from YISHION this season?

A: I don’t usually wear bright colors; during the YISHION photo shoot I wore a green t-shirt, the color of environmental protection, it was very nice. Other than green, white and yellow is also very nice. I will try these bright colors later on. Let me recommend this season’s t-shirt and jeans, they are quite fashionable.

On the night of 6th May, ‘2011 <L’officiel Men> Star Power Awards Presentation Ceremony’ was grandly held in Beijing. Han Geng, Wang Feng, Liu Yi Fei, Hu Jun and many other artistes along with many business elites and artists attended the event that night. This filled the gorgeous scenes with many shiny stars. At the awards presentation ceremony, a total of 8 awards were given out. Other than Han Geng and Wang Feng receiving the major award ‘Music Scene New Power’ together, female artiste, Liu Yi Fei who appeared in a full pink dress was awarded with the ‘Star Power Special Award’ given by the organizers.

2011 ‘Star’ Power Awards Presentation Ceremony started off and warmed up with Han Geng performance of <My Logo>. The curtains opened with ears shattering music and Han Geng appeared with a big red coat and cool sunglasses, there were also four ‘secretive’ dancers dancing and cooperating with him. All of them moved their bodies with the groove with the music. That night, Han Geng was really well supported by his fans, claps can be heard everywhere after his performance. 

This time round, Han Geng received the award, ‘Music Scene New Power’. Music producer, Bao Xiao Bo was really humorous as the award presenter. During the Q&A section, when asked how he would handle the mother/wife relationship, Han Geng said it is very difficult to answer, “I don’t know, but I know it's tough”.  He indicated that he would have his girlfriend to go shopping with his mother in order for them to get close to each other.  When he talked about how his mother has supporting his career all along, Han Geng couldn’t hold back his tears.  “Each time when it comes to talking about my mother, I tell myself, I cannot cry again.  But I am really touched by her.”  An MV which took Gengfans three months to complete was played during the program.  It includes Han Geng’s concert, his participation in awards ceremony and clips of interactions with fans.  Han Geng shed tears after watching it, "I am really grateful that everyone has been with me and did not abandon me.  I assure you that I will work hard (singing), not letting people to yell at me, insult me”.

<2011 Metro Asia Street Dancing Competition> is about to start. Previously, an online voting was held for the 'Most High Dancing Themed Song of the Year', they invited all netizens to choose the highest dancing themed song in their heart. <Metro Asia Street Dancing Competition> is in its seventh year running and is organized by Taipei Metro Competition and Cathay United Bank. They worked with the media and started the promotions on the internet, and invited all netizens and listeners to choose the representative for the Most High Dancing Themed Song of the Year. This activity started on the 22nd April and ended in 9th May. To establish its fairness and to prevent votes spammer, everyone is only allowed to vote once and thousands of voters took part in this voting. And, when the voting started, Han Geng's position was maintained within the top 3. Show Luo, whose new album <Only You> just created a sales record in Taiwan, his song <Ai De Zhu Chang Xiu> got second position with 1440 votes. And, for the ambassador of the competition this year, Elva Hsiao <Ms. Chic> got the third postion with 1038 votes. The fourth position was taken by Super Junior M <Perfection>. Next, Danson Tang, who just released his new album, his song <I'm Back> and Asia Dancing Queen, Jolin Tsai <Mei Ren Ji> got fifth and sixth position respectively. Fahrenheit and S.H.E from the same company, their songs, <Too Hot> and <Shero Dancing Version> stand firmly in the seventh and eighth position. Jay Chou, who had recently went to Hollywood with striking results, his composition skills was recognized long ago, his song <Ms. Hip Hop> took the ninth position. Netizens expressed that Jay Chou's dancing skills are getting better. In the tenth position, it was taken by the 4 member group, Lollipop, they was named with the song <The Fourth Dimension>.
