added to the cast. he will play King Yejong [예종].

8th monarch of Joseon. King Seong-Jong's (Go Ju-Won) uncle.

King Yejong only ruled for 1 year due to his weak health.

The role of Yejong has never been played out before in a Korean drama.

those of you who watched MBC 'thank you' you might remember Yu Min-Ho as "Yeong-Shin" Gong Hyo-Jin's brother.

looks like they're gonna have Yoon ssi and Cheon-Seon meet as children.. and forbidden lovers.

but in actually Yoon--ssi doesn't meet Cheon-Seon until after she's already a concubine. hehe oh well....

i think they cast Kim Hyeok [김혁] for the role of Park Deok-Hu [박덕후]

he is actually supposed to be Yoon-ssi's first love.... i wonder how they will play out that storyline...

Funny, whenever I hear "The King & I" I'd think of Sigourney Weaver and the song "Getting to Know You"...LOL When I 1st heard of this I thought they're going to do something similar cept' it's the King of Korea not Siam, turns out I was wrng!

K, I think I'm going to seriously keep an eye on this drama coz it looks like it could become the nxt JuMong or DaeJangGeum - with such credentials...And also Jeon Kwang-Ryul & Yang Mi-Kyung looks kick-richard simmons in their respective costumes. (It's abt time Yang Mi-Kyung starred in anything major since "Be Strong!Geum-Soon")

O yah Dramaok, as you said, Director Lee of DaeJangGeum fame will be directing the historical drama 《正祖大王李祘》, which is abt some old King with the surname of Lee I guess. I'm not v. sure abt the HanGul name. It will go head to head with SBS's "The King & I" on a rival tv station (I think it's MBC, nt so sure). I heard some of the DaeJangGeum cast have chosen to signed up for Director Lee's new historical drama too. Can't wait for the huge clash!

EDIT: I did some checks.. Director Lee's new drama is "Yi-San - King Jeong-Jo" MBC's 2007 new production airing September 17th...Dun! Dun! Dun! Anyway, "Yi San" has some v. experienced veterans too cept' they aren't too well-known. Most of them were frm DaeJangGeum too.
