Kang Dong-won is back in action

Just two months since being released from military service, actor Kang Dong-won is back into the swing of things. The 31-year-old has taken on a lot of projects, the first of which is an Adidas advertisement.

A spokesperson for the casual brand said yesterday that Kang was picked to star in the new "Unite All Originals" campaign "because he's a fashion icon".

The video starring Kang will be made available online on the brand's Web site from Monday.

In addition, Kang has a short and a feature film to be released in the coming months.

First up, Kang will star in a short clip to be directed by Kim Ji-woon, who recently made his Hollywood debut with "The Last Stand".

The work is said to be around 10 minutes long and will be a small side project for Kim.

Kang's representative said that filming will begin before he starts working on the feature "Band of Thieves" in March. Kang's first feature since the Army also stars Ha Jeong-woo and is about a group of government officials in the 19th-century Joseon Dynasty.

Kang Dong Won attended a fashion show in Paris.

On January 21st, fashion director Shim Woo Chan uploaded a couple of photos on his Twitter, and wrote "True handsomeness stands up at anywhere. Kang Dong Won was the most handsome one at a fashion show."

In one of the photos, Kang Dong Won is sitting in between many people, but he is quite easily recognizable because of his handsome look.

Shim Woo Chan also wrote, "This photo is amazing! He's in Europe, but he's still so tall," and uploaded another photo, where Kang Dong Won is showing a bright smile.

Netizens who viewed the photo made comments, such as "He's so hot", "What a beautiful guy", and "He will look handsome wherever he goes to."

Kang Dong-won visits Grand Palais

Model-turned-actor Kang Dong-won tapped into his modeling past when he turned up at the Grand Palais in Paris on Sunday to take in the Saint Laurent Paris Men's Fall-Winter collection for the year.

Decked out in Saint Laurent garb himself, Kang turned heads while he looked on, according to fashion critic Shim Woo-chan who was also there and posted a picture of Kang on Twitter. 

The famed French fashion house said that Kang was asked to attend by head designer Hedi Slimane himself.

As the first Korean guest present at the show, Kang took some time to chat with Slimane backstage and congratulated the designer on his first menswear collection at the fashion house.

A spokesperson for the label said that Kang has been a fan of the Paris-born designer for a long time.

Since being released from military service two months ago, Kang is steadily making his comeback into the limelight.

Kang has a short and a feature film penciled in for the next few months.

Ah, time flies by, when I watched Wolf's temptation in 2006 I was 20-21...and now I just turned 27 and KDW turned 31.
I must say I don't know why ppl think loosing weight makes them look 'young'. It doesn't it makes you look tired and weak.
If I was a friend of his I would pester him to eat more.
Jesus, what's up with being a tootpick.
Nothing sexy about that.


I just rewatched some of his work this weak, instead of studying for an exam, and I'm glad he's done with military.
