Guest luzCONTROL_7
Bonjour! (And still I got an A in French. o_o''') Mes parents hablent espagnol et je vive dans la suede. PS2. If you got time could you please correct some of mistakes? ^^ I don't think I use the right verb most of the time. I think I mix être et avoir? Guest lightbringer
Merci beaucoup pour correcter ma corriger mon texte !!! nothing, you're very brave. Especially with such an old dictionary. When I was little, we use the "bled" it was a book to learn grammar. A difficult thing to understand in english is what "sex" has been given to things. french give sex to things a chair is female (i don't know the word for "genre" ). Some exemples In English : an accident a Disaster in French : an accident (Male) a disaster (female) There is a humorist (roland magdane" who think that The person who invented french was very sexist. http://elyseeb.free.fr/magdane/Piste3.zip Some links (in french) http://www.francite.net/education/cyberprof/ or http://french.chass.utoronto.ca/fsl161/grammaire.htm Another question what is the sentence for "De rien" --> NPB-XK salopette PTDR !!!

HAHAHA... (i don't know the word for "genre" ). --> NPB-XK salopette PTDR !!! HAHAHA! En Français de France, ça veut dire... "blowjob" eh? Fellation... Ici, on utilise l'expression "faire une pipe"...
Guest lightbringer

Guest sodapop!!
french is the nicest sounding language EVER!! i am so glad i went against everyone going "but we live in california, you will never need it" and chose the prettier language rather than boring old spanish! it is my dream to live in paris within a few years~ i also want to learn italian and russian :> j'adore francais, mais je ne comprend pas l'utiliser de passé composé et d'imparfait, ou quand les devoir en parler/écriver... c'est trop difficile D:
NPB-XK
Hahaha Italian and Russian... right on the two other languages I've learned... But at the moment, I've stopped learning Russian... Only Italian... No class, only from friends and my sister's boyfriend... Good luck with your dream... You can do it! I had a few exchange students from france in my classes last semester and apparently the accents are different depending on whether you live in the north of france and the south of france as well. but omg... there was such a big difference between the way my friend's french and the typical Montreal french. her accent was so much more lighter and prettier... i'm so jealose xD je dois vraiment practiquer mon français. j'ai perdu une tellement grande majorité de mon vocabulaire depuis mes années secondaire que je me considaire anglophone maintenant xD. je ne suis plus parfaitement trilingue Ça me prends trop de temps à organiser ce que je veux dire dans ma tête alors je parle prèsque strictment en englais maintenant. NPB-XK
Oh pink lemons., my bad... I thought you were a French speaker... haha... "À qui parles-tu?" should be more appropriated for you as a learner then... "Who are you talking to?" oh, that seriously not true!! it really depends on what region of french. for the most part, Québecois french is absolutely dreadful, especially if you're talking to someone from the Lac St.Jean or Saguennay (sp??) area. their way of speaking sounds so agressive, and littered with so much slang that i find it almost impossible to understand sometimes. I guess I was wrong... Well I'm one of the minority who can do that then... Probably because I grew up in an international school where I was forced to speak in French of Paris. But still... I saw quite a lot of people who can mimic the French accents... Lac-St-Jean or Saguenay? Hahaha... Same crap... "Saguenay-lac-st-jean"... Yeah, really, as I said earlier in this thread, even Quebeckers themselves may not understand the expressions from other regions of Québec... People who moved a lot around Québec like me know how to understand and communicate with them... Awoé, amène moé donc tou les ezsti d'explessions Québékwèse! M'as toute les tladuire! I admit, Québec French is so ugly but very very entertaining... HAHAHA!
