^ not really, still a 'freak'/'gross' to some ppls, not only because that they're traditional/narrow-minded but also because of their own feeling/ficed idea (and this happens everytime everywhere)

personally i think in the future, ppl in vn gonna be more open-minded about this and hmm kind of welcome it, since it seems to be 'okay' all over the world (not all, not really, but most of, u know)

Yeah i remember seeing Jolin in SG when i visited in 04, she was my cousin's friend, and yes indeed her family is quite wealthy =P. But then most of the girls in VN that that can afford to have their hair done in the korean/japanese hairstyle or have those cute fobby clothes, usually come from a wealthy family. Well at least thats what I've seen o_o

Money totally makes a difference to what a person looks like honestly, if you have the money then you would get pretty much good clothing, good make up etc etc, so if a person is average but once they have all the right equipment (clothes, etc), they'll automatically look good.
