I recently discovered a revelation, someone had told me I'd gotten pale®. I've been sort of a homebody.

And then he said, "that's because you're northern Vietnamese." Wait, WHAT?

Northern Vietnamese people are supposedly lighter?

I thought the opposite, Hanoi seemed to be hotter/more humid than Saigon in the summer.

I got told that when i was in Vietnam for Christmas.

Its always been known to a lot of people.

December is supposed to be one of the "coldest" month

of Vietnam, and it was still really hot in Saigon.

My aunty and uncle went to Hanoi and they had to wear thick jackets

and jeans while i was wearing shorts in Saigon, so it was colder.

I've personally never been there, i refuse to go and since it was

so cold, what was the fun in that..

Google it up. But maybe its was different when you went there?

i was in VN last December & January and visited both Saigon & Hanoi.

in Hanoi, i had to wear tights, leather jacket & scarf. it's not cold, it's just a little cooler. like 8 to 10C

when i was in Saigon, it was around 26 to 30C, which is hot for me. yet people were wearing jackets & stuff.

also visited in the summer of 2007, both cities again, and Hanoi was HELL of an oven.

hotter & more humid than Saigon.
