Here's another news regarding 1st photoshoot for 'Golden Rainbow' poster :)

Jung Il-woo and UEE’s first poster shoot for Gold Rainbowby girlfriday | October 17, 201

Rainbow5.jpg

Cute, cute. It’s just a tiny peek, but here’s our first look at the leading foursome of MBC’s new weekend drama Gold Rainbow, starring UEE (Jeon Woo-chi) as the leader of seven orphans who band together to make their own family and Jung Il-woo (The Moon That Embraces the Sun) as the prosecutor who falls in love with her. I… don’t know many prosecutors who dress that way, though with Jung Il-woo playing him I fully expect him to ride up to the courthouse on a motorcycle and throw his robes on over his leather jacket.

It’s going to take more than separate posters to know if there’s any onscreen chemistry (seriously, would it have killed you people to include a real two-shot?) but I am looking forward to the pairing, which is pretty much my only reason for tuning in. The new weekender is set to follow Scandal and comes from the writer of May Queen and the PD ofI Do, I Do, and stars UEE as Baek Won (100 won), the leader of a brood of orphans who form a bond and make their own family to take care of each other.

Lee Jae-yoon (Heartless City) and Cha Ye-ryun (Royal Family) play her oppa and unni Man Won (10,000 won) and Chun Won (1,000 won). Yup. Those are their names. I kid you not. As adults, Lee Jae-yoon will struggle with his growing attraction to Little Sis UEE, and be the silent Daddy Long Legs type who watches over her. Cha Ye-ryun plays the backstabby sister, who hates how poor they were, and will stop at nothing to feed her ambition.

The main couple will meet in childhood as well. (OF COURSE they do. Who’s even heard of a dramaland true love that wasn’t sealed by Fate and the meet-cute of tiny toddlers?) Jung Il-woo’s character gets shunted aside when his father remarries and starts a new family, but he’ll remain carefree and bighearted, and grows up to be a prosecutor. He’ll watch the heroine from afar and become her biggest supporter and strength, and their relationship is described as a “tug-of-war of affection.” Adorable. Evil sister aside, it’s got all the makings of a heartwarming family drama, though I guess your average family drama’s got one of those as well. Or three.

Gold Rainbow premieres November 2 on MBC.

class="title"Child Actor Oh Jae Moo To Play Young Jung Il Woo In “Golden Rainbow”

Child actor Oh Jae Moo will be starring in MBC’s weekend drama “Golden Rainbow” to play the role as the young counterpart of Jung Il Woo’s character.

Oh-Jae-Moo-01

In the upcoming series which is currently being shot in Busan and Gyeongnam, Oh Jae Moo takes the role of young Do Young while child actress Kim Yoo Jung plays the young version of the female lead Baek Won, to be played by UEE in the later part of the drama.

During Do Young’s childhood, he was mistreated when his father (Jo Min Ki) remarried and got a new family. Even though he’s existence was unseen to his father, he persevered and grew up as a righteous man with a bright nature.

Oh Jae Moo is currently appearing in jtbc’s “First Born”, and previously portrayed the younger version of the male lead characters in TV drama such as teen Ji Chang Wook in “Bachelor’s Vegetable Store”, teen No Min Woo in “Full House 2″ and teen Yoon Si Yoon in “Bread, Love and Dreams”. He also appeared in the movie “A Company Man” playing teen So Ji Sub.

Meanwhile, “Golden Rainbow” will air every weekend beginning November 2 on MBC, replacing “Scandal: A Very Shocking and Corrupt Event” on its timeslot.

Movies, dramas and entertainment shows, 87's are taking over

photo362046.jpg

It is the high peak of the 87's.

The common thing about male stars who are taking over movies, dramas and entertainment shows is that they were born in the year 1987. Lee Min-ho, Jang Geun-seok, Lee Seung-gi, Choi Seung-hyeon (TOP), Joo Won, Jeong Il-woo, Ji Chang-wook are some of them. They were acknowledged of their talents since their debut and now they are some of the leading artists in Korea.

Lee Min-ho is currently starring in the SBS drama "The Heirs". He is one of the most trusted actors and this drama has been pre-sold to countries like Japan, China, Hong Kong and other Asian countries just for his name.

Jang Geun-seok is starring in the new KBS 2TV drama "Pretty Boy" in November. He recorded low percentages in recent dramas like "Marry Me, Mary!" and "Love Rain" but all of his dramas are very highly demanded overseas. This time, he plans on solidifying his position as 'The Prince of Asia'.

Joo Won has been successful in every drama he starred in from "Bread, Love and Dreams", "Ojak Brothers", "Bridal Mask" and "Good Doctor". He also stars in the KBS 2TV show "Happy Sunday – 1 Night 2 Days" and is looking forward to the release of the movie "Catch Me".

Choi Seung-hyeon has been successful as a member of Big Bang and as an actor. He stars in the movie "Commitment" which is to be released on the 6th of November. He's grown fairly quickly into a well-known actor.

Lee Seung-gi aims for the position of 'entertainment King' in the tvN show Actresses. His experience in "1 Night 2 Days" should allow him to spread out his wings.

Jeong Il-woo and Ji Chang-wook are starring in the new MBC weekend drama "Golden Rainbow" and MBC drama "Empress Qi". They have stepped into long-term contracts as these dramas lead up to 30~50 episodes.

All this is thanks to actors like Kang Dong-won, Hyeon Bin and Won Bin, whose performances before them have solidified a stage for them to act on. However, some say that these young actors are actually making their own territory by doing what they do best.

class="cb b15"Kdrama Actors Who Are Real-Life Heirs

Jung Il Woo

Obviously many kdrama stars began life with the advantage of good genes for looks and talent but a few also had the good luck to be born into wealthy families.

Here are a few that have money to fall back on if they decide they don't want to act any more.

Jung Il Woo, who won hearts in "The Moon Embracing The Sun," Flower Boy Ramen Shop and "49 Days," is also well connected and not just because he's best friends with Lee Min Ho and Kim Bum. His mom is the chief of Textiles Research Lab at Korea University and an award-winning expert in art history. His grandfather is the director of a hospital in Korea and his father is the director of a Kendo Academy. Jung Il-woo studied broadcasting at the Seoul Institute of the Arts.
