Lee Joon Ki and Nam Sang Mi, lead stars in the new DramaFever series The Joseon Gunman, recently did a photo shoot for Harper's Bazaar Korea July issue. The strong emotions evoked by the photos engages an atmosphere of film noir. The couple was dressed in stylish modern attire, not what we would have expected since they are filming a Joseon period drama, but their intense chemistry is clearly evident even 7 years after they first met and starred together in the action-romance drama Time Between Dog and Wolf.

Regarding The Joseon Gunman, Nam Sang Me said, 'Compared to 7 years ago, I think Lee Joon Ki has become even more adorable. At that time, we were both young and headstrong. Now, we feel like real siblings.'

Lee Joon Ki said, 'I've always wanted to work with Nam Sang Me again. Previously we acted in a tragic love that could not be fulfilled. I kept thinking it would be nice to film another love story together when we are mature. Now, we are older and more experienced. As soon as I heard that Nam Sang Mi joined the drama, I was very excited and happy. It takes time for an actor and actress to become familiar with each other to interact in scenes. Acting with Nam Sang Mi definitely saves time and we can rely on each other. I feel very fortunate. During the rehearsal, every moment felt blessed and the result was excellent. It's all thanks to Nam Sang Mi.' As he praised Nam Sang Mi, she suddenly said, 'Aigoo!' It really showed their affection for each other.

Harper's Baazar definitely adores Lee Joon Ki too, as their Chinese edition did a photo shoot with him in April. These photos show off his bright and cheerful nature.

On June 24, the cast of “The Joseon Gunman” got together for an interview, where actresses Nam Sang Mi and Jeon Hye Bin talked a little bit about their costar Lee Jun Ki. Nam Sang Mi said, “Lee Jun Ki is a lot more at ease compared to seven years ago. He’s really good at taking the lead.”

She continued, “One thing that I’ve really noticed is that he’s a lot brighter now. And although he’s finished his military service, he’s become a lot more gentle and smooth.”

Lee Jun Ki and Nam Sang Mi are making their seven-year on screen reunion with “The Joseon Gunman,” after they starred together in 2007’s “Time Between Dog and Wolf.”

Jeon Hye Bin, for whom this is her first time working with Lee Jun Ki, also spoke about the actor. She said, “At first, because he’s so friendly, like a neighborhood friend, I questioned whether he would have any presence as an actor. However, when we started filming, his face immediately changed and he really fell into his role. It was impressive.” She joked, saying, “I feel like I’ve chosen a good actor to piggyback on.”

During June 24’s broadcast of KBS 2TV’s Yeo Yoo Man Man, Jeon Hye Bin said, “I’ve always wanted to work on a project with Lee Joon Gi. To be honest, I had my doubts on whether he would have charisma as an actor because he’s always smiling, but it was no joke.”

She continued, “Lee Joon Gi is usually like an oppa next door. But once the director gives the cue, he completely changes into a ′shooter.′ I realized that there is a reason why Lee Joon Gi is so loved by fans around the world.”

She also said, “We film frequently in the countryside and it’s been fun eating at various restaurant in the areas. Lee Joon Gi gathers everyone for group dinners and takes us to famous restaurants.”

@willenette Thank you for the articles! I can totally see Junki just messing around on set and then completely change his facial expression in the blink of an eye when it's time to shoot his scene. He really is a professional and is such a great actor. 
I'm still waiting for episode 1 to be subbed, but from what I read in the Joseon Gunman thread, the episode was really good. I really hope the ratings for this drama will be really high!

Nam Sang-mi and Lee Joon-ki faced each other with a gun and sword.

On the first episode of the new KBS 2TV drama "The Joseon Shooter", Jeong Soo-in (Nam Sang-mi) dressed up as a man to deliver the book Hyeon Am (Nam Myeong-ryeol) left before he died.

Park Yoon-kang (Lee Joon-ki) was returning home after meeting a friend and saw Jeong Soo-in dressed up as a man. He remembered her as the informant of a shooter and followed her.

He caught up with her and tried to take her down to the station but Jeong Soo-in couldn't do that as she had to deliver a book and took out her gun.

Jeong Soo-in warned him of the gun being dangerous, then he responded by swinging his sword at her.

"The Joseon Shooter" starts off in third place

The new KBS 2TV drama "The Joseon Shooter" came in third place.

According to Nielsen Korea on the 26th, "The Joseon Shooter" rated 8.4%. This is 1.7% lower than the final episode of "Golden Cross".

"The Joseon Shooter" is based on the Joseon era of enlightenment, portraying Park Yoon-kang (Lee Joon-ki) as the hero.

The first episode introduced the cast of the enlightenment party and the conservative party. The combination of an exciting storyline, a fancy visual and a perfect performance by the cast, worked very well.

8.4% isn't that bad I guess considering it's only the first episode and the director did predict the debut to be around that percentage. I just hope as the drama progresses and the plot picks up, ratings will become higher and hit 15%.

I only quotes for  our Joon )Especially Lee Joon Gi, with his Flower looks image and it still intact when he came out after his military. However, overturn all expectation, he is been activesly on acting and stages after he's back, and now he's back with action drama on 25th with Joseon Gunman on KBS 2TV as son of famous swordman in Joseon era to turn from sword into gunman to seek revenges on his father and sister. Unlike the other strong two sleek image on his previous drama, Lee Joon Gi role as a Joseon Gunman first to appear as his carefree Flower Boy images first before it turn over becomes a ' hero' with pain and courages, is expected to draw more young people to watch.Lee Joon Gi as a Gong Gil and in 'My Girl' as Soo jong Woo, we only recognized Soo Jong Woo, he is known as 'A Genre of Its Own' ( another Koren Idiom .....means like a chameleon ), He can pioneering the character to becomes  as a character. @tesanne Thank you for all the news! I'm so happy to hear that Lee Joon Gi and Joseon Gunman are popping up frequently in the news and is trending on Naver. JG really is the best action actor. He not only does all the stunts himself but I believe he also choreographs his moves. I actually have heard that people like to talk to their horses in order to get friendly and build trust between the rider and the horse. I can imagine JG spending his off-time with the horse on set. From the BTS clip that I saw, he seemed really concerned when the horse was hit and had to play dead (I think that was what happened).
