@backstreetboysfan nothing about her appearance has been finalized but, I hope she takes the offer to do this drama with LDW & KB. She's just 1-year older than LDW. So, still they will make a well-matched on screen couple. I wonder if she will play another incarnation of the previous main character or a completely different character now, though. But, I have a strong feeling that the latter applies.  Expectations are high as historical backgrounds, such as the Joseon Dynasty and Japanese colonial era, are expected to be included in the story. I'm glad that Lee Dong Wook will continue to play the male lead. I hope we could get MORE updates on this soon.

K-drama is loved and watched all over the world. We’ve all binge watched a K-drama or two, or three… or four. One does not simply watch one episode of a series, you binge watch them all.

14. Goblin: The Great and Lonely God (2017)

*** It was LDW's special DAY last November 6. Happy Birthday, Lee Dong Wook! :7555_attack:

Happy Birthday Lee Dong Wook: 4 Times this talented & versatile actor proved he can ace every genre

Happy Birthday, Lee Dong Wook! This handsome and talented actor turns 40 years old today (41 years in Korean age).

Lee Dong Wook is an actor, host, model and entertainer and made his acting debut in 1999 in an MBC single-episode drama after winning the grand prize in the V-NESS model contest the same year. However, it was his role in the romantic-comedy drama.  'My Girl' which catapulted him to stardom and he was instantly recognised as a 'Hallyu Star' across Asia. One look at Lee Dong Wook's youthful visuals, and it is almost hard to believe that the talented star boasts of a career spanning two decades! Today, on his special day, we take a look at some of his best works across various K-drama genres.

1. Guardian: The Lonely and Great God - Fantasy Romance drama

It is no surprise that we picked Guardian: The Lonely and Great God as our first choice. It is widely regarded as a 'complete drama' with romance, drama, fantasy, bromance and a hint of comedy. Lee Dong Wook played the role of the Grim Reaper in the drama, and the stupendous success of the drama proved to be a turning point in his acting career. Besides the fantastic OST album, visuals and a gripping screenplay; the drama gave us one of the most successful screen pairings - Lee Dong Wook and Yoo In Na.

2. Touch Your Heart - Romanic Comedy

We can 'not' mention the magical on-screen chemistry he shares with Yoo In Na. Audiences loved their pairing in Guardian: The Lonely and Great God so much so that, tvN cast them together in 2019 rom-com drama 'Touch Your Heart'! A sweet romance between a lawyer named Kwon Jung Rok, played by Lee Dong Wook and a famous actress Oh Jin Shim, essayed by Yoo In Na; is the K-drama mills & boons story we need!

3. Strangers From Hell - Psychological-Thriller

Newer fans might be familiar with Lee Dong Wook's romantic-comedy dramas, but the talented actor makes for a cool antagonist as well! In this psychological-thriller drama, Lee Dong Wook plays Seo Moon Jo, a dentist who works near Eden Dormitory and lives in room 304. He appears friendly and compassionate but his intentions prove otherwise. Lee Dong Wook nailed the part and it is certainly a must-watch!

4. Life - Medical drama

Lee Dong Wook played the role of Ye Jin-Woo, an emergency medicine specialist in 'Life', which revolves around the clash of ideals and interests between a patient-centred emergency medicine doctor and the hospital's newly-appointed CEO at one of South Korea's top medical centres! An underrated drama, it is a must-watch.

*** My eyes are always failing me since I don't have sometimes a sharp-eye - but, now I noticed in the teaser poster for "Bad and Crazy" that a card that has been ripped apart is stitched back together again. They have mysterious expressions on their

faces. The complete difference of the two was figuratively expressed.    :shaq:

*** tvN’s upcoming Friday-Saturday drama “Bad and Crazy” shared its first look at Lee Dong Wook! He plays the success-oriented detective Soo Yeol, who puts more emphasis on results. He is an expert at rationalizing things, only putting effort into work that can satisfy his selfish desires. I highly anticipate Lee Dong Wook’s portrayal as detective who isn’t nice, but a bad guy who will stop at nothing if it’s for success and promotion. It's very different from the characters he has acted so far. I have yet to see, so I think I will find it interesting. Can't wait!  :heart3:

*** I love the COOL B/W poster of "Bad and Crazy" with stitched together playing card with the two male leads as opposites. The drama is slated for a 12-EP run. I will definitely watch this for LDW. LDW playing bad can challenge himself here. Looking forward to this. :ohboy2:

Top 5 Second Lead Couples That Were Loved As Much As The Main Couples In Their Dramas, According To Kpopmap Readers

2nd-lead-couple.jpg

Usually in all K-Dramas, especially in romances and romantic comedies, we have a leading couple and a secondary leading couple. Not only do the 2nd lead couples make the story brighter and more entertaining but at times, they are even more loved by viewers than the main couples!

Recently, we asked Kpopmap readers to choose the 2nd lead couple that they adored even more than the leading couple of a drama. Thanks to your interest, we received a lot of votes. Thank you for voting!

Here are the current results based on data retrieved on November 16, 2021.

1. Sunny & Grim Reaper - "Goblin"

fullsizephoto786395.jpg

Played by Yoo InNa and Lee DongWook, this "Goblin" couple is as iconic as the drama itself. The chemistry between both actors was so incredible that they appeared as a couple once again in "Touch Your Heart".

@backstreetboysfan thanks for sharing the action-packed first teaser! OMG - This is chaotic! The new teaser shares a glimpse of how Soo Yeol, the “bad” guy, is spotted running away from people, and getting into a bloody match. I'm so excited to see LDW back on the screen again. Watching the teaser, it really looks "bad & crazy" - :highonflowers:   :Megalol:

@willenetteYour welcome, yeah agreed and this looks like it will be good.

@backstreetboysfan  I hope it's good - I love the poster. The poster shows Lee Dong-wook and Wie Ha-joon as part of a frankensteined playing card covered in blood. The caption reads: “Bad guy versus crazy guy! Personality rehab team play.” I am really excited to see a bad LDW. This show looks/sounds fun! I'm SO in for 12-ep ride.   :kisslevel:
