Na In-woo pursues his brother’s killer in Longing for You

by solstices

Script reading stills are out for ENA’s upcoming thriller Longing for You, which takes us on a revenge mystery alongside Na In-woo (Jinxed at First). It may not be a new narrative by any means, but with this cast (Kwon Yul!) I’m inclined to give it a shot.

Na In-woo stars as Oh Jin-sung, a detective with a penchant for sticking his nose into other people’s business. His busybody tendencies may stem from good intentions, but beneath that jovial demeanor lies a burning hunger for vengeance. Having experienced tragedy at the hands of a murderer, Jin-sung is determined to avenge his younger brother, played by Choi Min-ki a.k.a. Ren of NU’EST (The Three Musketeers).

Na In-woo is Longing for You with a side of vengeance

by lovepark

ENA’s upcoming mystery drama Longing for You has released a batch of character posters along with a quick teaser of its main leads. Despite its deceptively romantic title, the show is about a serial murder case and the team out to catch the culprit.

Playing noisy detective Oh Jin-sung is Na In-woo (Jinxed at First). On most days, Jin-sung is a cheerful person, but when he gets transferred to the special investigations team, his demeanor changes. Representing his motivation, Jin-sung’s poster reads, “for truth,” which is also depicted in the teaser.

Joining the investigation as well is Jin-sung’s friend and prosecutor Go Young-joo played by Kim Ji-eun (One Dollar Lawyer). Nicknamed the “bulldozer,” Young-joo fearlessly charges forward in every case, and her poster and teaser aptly have the words, “for justice.”

Finishing off the main trio from the teaser is Kwon Yul (Mental Coach Jegal) as Cha Young-woon. An “elite, noble” prosecutor, Young-woon has lived a stable life thus far, but as it goes in these stories, his once sturdy foundation is shaken to its core. Tying into that theme, his poster and teaser say, “for fate.”

Though not shown in the teaser, the rest of the show’s ensemble cast have posters as well with each highlighting their various objectives. Bae Jong-ok (Secret Royal Inspector and Joy) plays Young-woon’s mother and hospital director Yoo Jung-sook. Praised for her conviction and skills, Young-woon’s very being exudes elegance, but behind her gaze, something hides within. Her poster says, “for salvation.”

Also connected to Young-woon is Lee Kyu-han (Happiness Battle) as correspondent Park Ki-young. His character appears to be glaring at someone, perfectly matching his motivation: “for destruction.”

Lastly, Jung Sang-hoon (The Witch is Alive) plays dentist Bae Min-kyu. The son of an assemblyperson, he uses his father’s status to abuse power and get what he wants. Reflecting his selfish nature, his poster reads, “for desire.”

Directed by PD Han Chul-soo (Again My Life) and PD Kim Yong-min (Again My Life) with scripts by Kwon Min-soo (Graceful Family), ENA’s Longing for You premieres on July 26 in the Wednesday-Thursday slot.

'I've been waiting for you for a long time' Kwon Yul draws attention by exploding the charisma of an elite aristocratic swordsman with rimless glasses and a knife-cut suit.

On the 29th, ENA's new Wednesday-Thursday drama 'I've been waiting for you for a long time' (hereinafter referred to as 'Oh Dang-gi') (played by Kwon Min-soo, director Han Chul-soo and Kim Yong-min) released still cuts of Kwon Yul. Director Han Chul-soo, who caught the eye with his intense directing in the dramas 'Again My Life', 'Elegant Family', and 'My Little Baby', is a truth-tracking drama in which family's hidden secrets and desires are faced. Writer Kwon Min-soo of 'Flower' and 'Mommy is Pretty' and the second drama following 'Elegant Family' will give a feeling of the birth of a highly immersive drama.

In the play, Kwon Yul plays the role of Cha Young-woon, an elite prosecutor. Cha Young-woon is the only son of the Jinjin Group, and he has everything from family, personality, and ability, and is running on the road to success. While he has a crush on Ko Young-joo (Kim Ji-eun), a colleague at the Central District Prosecutor's Office, he becomes entangled with Oh Jin-seong (Na In-woo), a childhood friend of Ko Young-ju's who was co-investigating a murder case.

Kwon Yul in the released still boasts the force of the aristocratic prosecutor 'Cha Young-woon' from the visual. You can get a glimpse of his thorough personality in the rimless glasses that add an intelligent and chic image and the undisturbed knife-cut suit. In addition to this, the calm and dignified charisma of Kwon Yul, who seems to be struggling to solve the clues of the case, is felt. As such, attention is paid to the character of 'Cha Young-woon', which Kwon Yul, who is exploding the presence of an elite aristocratic prosecutor from the first still, will portray.

Regarding this, Yul Kwon said, "I was grateful and happy to be able to work with a good director, writer, and good actors seniors and juniors. I wanted to work with the director and fellow actors as soon as possible on set, and when we started filming, we showed good synergy." He showed off his teamwork with casting impressions. "Cha Young-woon may look thorough, rational, and cold-hearted in some ways, but he is also the owner of a passionate heart that does not compromise with any injustice and wants to keep justice to the end. The cold and hot three-dimensional personality is all revealed in the character of Cha Young-woon." In the meantime, interest in the broadcast of 'Odanggi', where Kwon Yul's wide acting spectrum shines, rises vertically.

ENA’s upcoming drama “Longing for You”  has released a suspenseful story teaser!

“Longing for You” is a new mystery drama starring Na In Woo as Oh Jin Sung, a detective who discovers hidden family secrets while searching for the culprit of a murder case. In addition to Na In Woo, the drama’s star-studded cast will include former NU’EST member Ren, Kim Ji Eun, Kwon Yool, Bae Jong Ok, Lee Kyu Han, and Jung Sang Hoon.

The new teaser begins with a heartwarming glimpse of the playful and loving relationship between Oh Jin Sung and his younger brother Oh Jin Woo (Ren), who have a blast hanging out together with Oh Jin Sung’s best friend Ko Young Woo (Kim Ji Eun).

At one point, Oh Jin Woo worriedly tells his older brother, “Hyung, you’re not Superman,” to which Oh Jin Sung proudly reveals just how much he relies on his brother by saying, “Why would I need to worry, when I have a younger brother who’s like a wife?”

However, things take an ominous turn when someone asks in voice-over, “Detective Oh Jin Sung’s younger brother?” The teaser then shows glimpses of Oh Jin Woo looking suspicious as he burns something in his yard, wields a knife, and later heads out in the pouring rain at night, suggesting that he is hiding a major secret from his brother.

When Oh Jin Woo is eventually named as a suspect in a serial murder case, Oh Jin Sung is unable to control his anger as he lashes out at Cha Young Woon (Kwon Yool) at the police station, but when a new body is discovered, he winds up interrogating his own brother.

The teaser ends with Oh Jin Sung silently crying as he declares in voice-over, “I’m going all the way to the end.”

Na In-woo seeks the truth in Longing for You

by lovepark

The newest story teaser and stills for ENA’s upcoming drama Longing for You reveal its main mystery and its hero’s motivation for chasing down a serial killer. Played by Na In-woo (Jinxed at First), Detective Oh Jin-sung is a loving brother to Ren (from NU’EST), but a turn of events changes their dynamic and irrevocably alters their relationship.

The teaser opens to Jin-sung bragging to his younger brother that he is the great Detective Oh, but his brother reminds him that he is not Superman. Along with his best friend Prosecutor Go Young-joo, played by Kim Ji-eun (One Dollar Lawyer), Jin-sung appears to have a blast, celebrating and singing karaoke, but then, the tone shifts to police sirens and a roped-off crime scene.

Jin-sung’s brother becomes a suspect, and our hero asks if he has been living these past thirty years with a serial killer. In response, Prosecutor Cha Young-woon —played by Kwon Yul (Mental Coach Jegal) — tells Jin-sung that the facts will determine it, and Jin-sung grabs the prosecutor in anger.

Hinting at a starting point — a day from hell — the teaser shows a dead body hanging over a banister and cuts to Jin-sung confronting his brother. In the final scene, Jin-sung appears in mourning attire, and with tears streaming down his face, he vows to go until the end.

The rest of the cast in Longing for You also have their own agendas and include Bae Jong-ok (Secret Royal Inspector and Joy) as Young-woon’s devoted mother and hospital director Yoo Jung-sook, Lee Kyu-han (Happiness Battle) as tenacious correspondent Park Ki-young, and Jung Sang-hoon (The Witch is Alive) as ruthless dentist Bae Min-kyu. My money is on one of them holding the key to this mystery, but we will have to wait and see who exactly is the murderer hiding in their midst.

Written by Kwon Min-soo (Graceful Family) and directed by the team behind Again My Life — PDs Han Chul-soo and Kim Yong-min — ENA’s Longing for You is slated to premiere on July 26 in the Wednesday-Thursday slot.

ENA’s upcoming drama “Longing for You” has dropped a new poster!

“Longing for You” is a new mystery drama starring Na In Woo as Oh Jin Sung, a detective who discovers hidden family secrets while searching for the culprit of a murder case. In addition to Na In Woo, the drama’s star-studded cast includes Kim Ji Eun, Kwon Yool, Bae Jong Ok, Lee Kyu Han, Jung Sang Hoon, and former NU’EST member Ren.

In the newly released poster, detective Oh Jin Sung, who chases after the unexpected truth that his family has hidden, gives an intensive gaze. On the bottom right is Oh Jin Sung’s friend and prosecutor Ko Young Joo (Kim Ji Eun) in her court robes. Above her is Cha Young Woon (Kwon Yool) who appears to be confused about something. The text at the center of the poster that reads, “The truth that I finally faced,” makes viewers curious about what the truth is and the cooperation between the three in chasing down the truth.

In addition, Cha Young Woon’s mother and Jinjin Medical Director Yoo Jung Sook (Bae Jong Ok), Cha Young Woon’s friend and correspondent Park Ki Young (Lee Kyu Han), and Bae Min Kyu (Jung Sang Hoon), the son of an influential member of the National Assembly, add to the curiosity with their facial expressions that are hard to read.
