Plot

Seo Dong Jae is a prosecutor at the Cheongju District Prosecutors’ Office who has a bleak future due to the stigma of having been corrupted in the past. Cho Seung Woo and Bae Doo Na's drama "Stranger" to reportedly have a season 3!

tvN's hit series "Stranger" will reportedly have its third season.

On October 25th, media outlet OSEN shared that the production team of the drama "Stranger" is planning to create a season three. According to reports, the third season will be a spin-off version and will tell new stories. It is expected to premiere at the end of 2023. 

"Stranger" is a drama that revolves around prosecutor Hwang Si Mok and detective Han Yeo Jin that chases the truth of the concealed incidents. The first and second seasons were both hits and got good reviews from viewers. Many are hopeful for the "Stranger" team to work together again for a new season. 

The first season aired in 2017 and the second season premiered in 2020.

An official from the production team at Ace Factory responded to the reports and clarified, "There's no official confirmation yet on the making of season three. We are currently in discussion for various possibilities."

The first and second season of "Stranger" was led by Cho Seung Woo, Bae Doo Na, Lee Joon Hyuk, and Yoon Se Ah.

 

 

If the production of the drama is confirmed and Cho Seung Woo also returns, this will be his second drama for 2023. The actor will star in the upcoming drama "Sacred Divorce" with Han Hye Jin, Kim Sung Kyun, and Jung Moon Sung. Cho Seung Woo rested for 2022 and didn't appear in any dramas or movies. He was last seen in the 2021 series "Sisyphus: The Myth." 

Same with Bae Doo Na, this drama will possibly be her second upcoming drama for 2023. She is also set to lead the upcoming drama "The Killer Miss Lee." The actress will also lead the upcoming thriller mystery romance film "Virus" with Kim Yoon Seok, Moon Sun Yong, Son Seok Koo, Kwak Jin, and Kim Kyung Il.

Lee Joon Hyuk will continue to portray the life of Seo Dong Jae from the hit K-drama "Stranger."

On February 9, industry insiders revealed that the hit tvN K-drama "Stranger" will be having a spin-off K-drama. This time, the story of the supporting role of Seo Dong Jae will be unveiled. Lee Joon Hyuk portrayed the role in the past two seasons of "Stranger" and reports stated that the actor will return and be the main lead of the upcoming spin-off. 

Lee Joon Hyuk's side then responded to the reports. According to Ace Factory, Lee Joon Hyuk is confirmed to star in the upcoming spin-off of "Stranger." They also revealed that he will be working again with writer Lee Soo Yeon. 

The spin-off of "Stranger" will reportedly be titled "Good or Bad Dong Jae." 

Lee Joon Hyuk is a prosecutor in the "Stranger" series. He confronted the main lead Hwang Si Mok played by Cho Seung Woo. In the series, he was neither the villain nor the good friend of the main lead. Many are anticipating how the spin-off will showcase if Seo Dong Jae is good or bad. 

 

"Good or Bad Dong Jae (working title)" will begin filming in May. There are no official details yet on the release date and the actors that will be working with Lee Joon Hyuk in the K-drama. 

 

 

This will be the second K-drama of Lee Joon Hyuk for the year. The actor will also star in the upcoming Hulu original K-drama "Vigilante" with Nam Joo Hyuk, Yoo Ji Tae, and Kim So Jin. Lee Joon Hyuk will also join the upcoming movies "The Roundup: No Way Out" and "Firemen."

After two seasons of “Forest of Secrets,” the hit tvN drama is returning with a spin-off series titled “Good or Bad Dong Jae” (literal title). Good or Bad Dong Jae will revolve around the popular Stranger character Seo Dong Jae who was portrayed by Lee Joon Hyuk for the two seasons of Stranger. The actor will be working once again with writer  Lee Soo Yeon, who also created the two seasons of Stranger. 

The upcoming K-drama will reveal more about Seo Dong Jae who is on a dangerous tightrope walk between his intuition to be a good prosecutor and the instinct of an opportunist while handling a high school murder case. 

In the first two seasons of Stranger, Lee Joon Hyuk was praised and loved for his cheeky character. In the spin-off, Lee Joon Hyuk is expected once again to showcase an annoying but can not-be-hated character Seo Dong Jae.

I am glad to see Park Sung woong in another drama. I am interested in the female cast too and what kind of roles they play. I am sure the new writers will do a good job but I am looking forward to see the next drama of writer Lee Soo Yeon too.

On November 24, TVING officially confirmed that Park Sung Woong would be joining Lee Joon Hyuk in the spin-off of the hit K-drama Stranger. 

Several months after the confirmation of the production of  Good or Bad Dong Jae, TVING has revealed the co-star of Lee Joon Hyuk. Park Sung Woong will be the rival of Lee Joon Hyuk in the upcoming K-drama. 

This is the first confirmed K-drama of the actor for 2024. This year, Park Sung Woong led the series The Killing Vote and Bloodhounds. He also starred in the films A Man of Reason and the recently released movie The Wild. 

Park Sung Woong is also joining the upcoming film A Desperate Pursuit with Kwak Shi Yang, Park Hyo Joo, Jung Eugene, and Yoon Gyung Ho.

Good or Bad Dong Jae will be the spin-off series of Stranger and the story will focus on Lee Joon Hyuk's character Seo Dong Jae. The upcoming K-drama will reveal the life of Seo Dong Jae as a prosecutor at the Cheongju District Prosecutors’ Office. He is facing difficulties in the present due to his corrupted past. 

Park Sung Woong will be Seo Dong Jae's greatest obstacle in the upcoming K-drama. The actor will portray the role of Nam Wa Han, the CEO of Lee Hong Construction Company. Nam Wa Han finds Seo Dong Jae as the obstacle to his redevelopment project. He then decided to start a war with him by revealing Seo Dong Jae's ugly past.

Good or Bad Dong Jae will premiere in 2024. It will exclusively air on the OTT platform, TVING.
