South Korea, Japan advance to round of 16 in World Cup Football (Soccer)!

Congratulations on the underdog soccer/football teams from Soompi land, South Korea and Japan. Both teams, slated last in their round robin groups, both advance to the Round of 16 in the World Cup in Qatar. South Korea had beaten Portugal and advanced to the final 16 past Uruguay on the second tiebreaker, goals scored (4-2). Meanwhile, Japan shocked major powerhouse Germany, as well as former winner Spain, with 2-1 victories to advance to the final 16.

 

When you see daily dramas from the countries, expect a certain bounce to the actors' performances!

IMO I believe that Asian productions, particularly Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Taiwanese, and Thai productions, have achieved the same level as established Western-level productions, and with their non- (or light-) political injection, have provided welcome avenues of television entertainment for everyone. Thank you to the Asian drama industry as a whole, and to the people who both support and nourish this fantastic treasure of human entertainment!
