Favourite Japanese Dramas from the 90s

In my humble opinion, the 90s is the best era of Japanese dramas. Many classics were churned out that decade, such as Tokyo Love Story (1991), Long Vacation (1996), and many more. These are my personal top 5 Japanese dramas from the 90s.

i'm trying to think of any that i've watched, but not many come to mind. i think the only one i like from that time frame that i can actually remember watching would be Iguana no Musume or Daughter of an Iguana.

 

 

it was random and thought it was like a fantasy of sort, but really from what i can recall, seemed more modern day (at the time), slice of life, slight angst, slight fluff, and just coming to terms of loving yourself and all that stuff. i don't remember if the drama actually touched base on the whole iguana stuff. i really need to re-watch it though. i'm curious now as it's been a very long time since i've last watched it.

I have been binge watching all kimura takuya dramas from 90s. I agree the old dramas were so good.
