EXO’s Sehun Talks About Why He Wanted To Act In “Dokgo Rewind”

The press conference for the mobile movie “Dokgo Rewind” took place this afternoon. Sehun talked about choosing “Dokgo Rewind” as his first acting role.

“I worried a lot on what kind of image I should show through my first work. So when I got a call from ‘Dokgo Rewind,’ I talked a lot with one of the directors who manage acting in my agency. I’ve always wanted to do an action film. I’m one of the main dancers in EXO, so I was confident in using my body. Lucky for me, ‘Dokgo Rewind’ had a lot of action and it focused on the story of youth, and the friendship of tough guys. I decided to accept the role because it felt like I could show great charisma.”

Director Choi Eun Jong had nothing but praise for Sehun and said, “I think I wouldn’t have been able to make this work if it weren’t Sehun. I thought to myself that if a different actor other than Sehun had been cast, I wouldn’t have worked on it.”

“Dokgo Rewind” is a prequel of the popular webtoon “Dokgo” by Baek Seung Hoon. It tells the story of three high school boys with very different backgrounds, and how they joined forces together to fight against violence in school. EXO’s Sehun from EXO, gugudan’s Mina, Cho Byung Gyu, and Ahn Bo Hyun appears in the film. The full movie is released on September 7, on oksusu and kakaopage.
