but they could already be super close/ "dating in secret" at the time of the video. BBJX finished showing in 2011 and this video was at the end of the year, sort of like how the time right now is around the same period after the end of Moon Lovers' airing.

LOL, I know the two "background" dancers were sort of random. I honestly don't know why the program coordinators did that. No offense taken, I think I watched that video enough times to learn to ignore the dancers. I'm glad you found it amusing.

Hey, y'all! I've been stalking this place (and the Moon Lovers thread) for a while now but IU/Joongi becoming a mainstream news topic  has finally compelled me to come out of lurkerdom. I'd just like to express a few of my thoughts about this whole situation:

First of all, fans directly harassing Joongi (or IU, or Kiha) with their shipping is 100% unacceptable (and I'm glad no one here is in favour of that!). That being said, I feel like a lot of people putting all this brouhaha down to the fevered imaginations of delulu fangirls and Lee Hwi Jae (lol) are being... wilfully obtuse. Of course IU and LJG doing fanservice doesn't automatically mean they're knocking boots. But let's be real: Both of them are seasoned professionals in this biz. There is NO WAY in hell they wouldn't have anticipated this sort of response by appearing together for shippy fanservice on multiple occasions after the drama's airing. (Correct me if I'm wrong, but that ain't normal.) Hell, wasn't it Jieun's own idea to visit each other's concerts in Taiwan? They were literally inviting the attention.

... So yeah, while I'm sympathetic to fans' urge to protect IU and/or LJG from scandal, and am VERY much in favour of respecting their boundaries, I think it's absurd to pretend the two of them are innocent cinnamon rolls with no comprehension of the potential consequences of their behaviour after the amount of time they've both worked in the entertainment industry. If neither of them wanted even the slightest risk of rumours and gossip, they would NOT have gone out of their way to appear at each other's solo events -- especially after Lee Hwi Jae made those insinuations at the Awards. But they did. IU and LJG are responsible for IU and LJG's choices. Again, that doesn't automatically mean they've been having a secret affair or that they deserve hate/harassment! IMO, however, there's really no need for defensive coddling of IU or LJG just for the sake of erring on the side of moral sanctimoniousness.

Career- wise, JoonU is a formidable match. As they say the making of a Power Couple.

Individually they shine in their own fields and career, but put them together, they are very charismatic, attractive, exciting together, because yes indeed their chemistry is like no other. so not only on a personal level (of relationship) but also professionally as celebrities many shippers want to see them work together.

Not so many OTPs can even come close to this superb pairing, and these haters know that - their envy and insecurity seem to be eating them.

I just read all those stuff that circulating on international sites and korean sites. Here I will give what I have got from it.

1) There are tons of dating rumor between JG and JE on korean sites, whether it's Naver, Pann, Nate, Facebook, DC Gallery, Blog and other community sites. All of them are not even shippers to begin with, they are just people who watch SAF and become suspicious to JoonU because what Lee Hwi Jae had said at SAF before turn out to be true that JE and Voldy already break up. So, his comment about JG and JE are dating might become true too according to those knetz. Besides that, they find it suspicious how JE and JG attending each other concert at overseas, JG skinship to JE during SAF and their lovey dovey interaction during filming MLSHR. Well, all those things lead to dating rumor between JG and JE. I must note that THEY ARE NOT SHIPPERS, they are just knetz who are suspicious to them because of those things that I have mentioned.

2) About those shippers that left comment about JE and Voldy break up on JG instagram is seriously immature, in my opinion, I hope they would stop doing that. I know they are not shippers from this shipper thread. I know that. We, shippers from this thread, are mature and won't do that immature and embarrassing stuff like that. As I see their comments, they are not even JE or JG fans and they are just people who become fans because of MLSHR. The last thing, they come from various countries.

3) For people who are blaming shippers as the reason of the break up of Voldy and JE relationship is seriously ridiculous. I bet neither JE nor Voldy will care about those shippers comments about their relationship. As the news stated before, JE and Voldy have been breaking up and getting back together for awhile. It's the proof that their relationship is not steady since beginning and it's not because of those shippers. I'm sure it's because of their personal reason.

4) Some people said they break up 1 week ago because the news reported like that. Well, neither JE nor Voldy agency confirmed about the timing when they broke up. There are even some articles writting about the prediciton of their break up time. As I know, they haven't met since last July since there are no fanaccounts about them since then. I'm sure during those time their relationship is not steady and they don't meet each other. During those times, JE and JG got closer because of MLSHR gatherings and how JG comforts JE about those negative comments about her acting moved and touched her heart. I'm sure they are getting closer during those time while JE and Voldy become drift apart.

5) The last thing, I will keep chanting BBJX miracle i.e. JoonU's happiness together!*

It's alright, guys! As long as they don't dare to pick on our OTP, we'll receive their critics with fun attitudes. Because actually we don't have any power (and desire) to control our OTP's life. What are we to make this "mess"? GOD? LOL!! But thank you for your "indirectly praise" (If I saw it from my positive perspective), so our thread really did have influences on the internet-society. Actually what make our bonds & chants stronger, it's because from the very beginning we have already felt a struggle in our ship, about JE has already seen someone else and another various rumors. But because of that, we have strong belief & bonds in this thread, because although we are deluluing, we don't ignore other "ruined-our-delulu" facts, we share it here and confirm it together. Though sometimes it makes us sad, losing hope, dissapointed, (even some choose to give up on the ship), but we always encourages each other & make ourself crumbs and keep believe our OTP's chemistry and what we've seen & feel about them. Though, we are called delulu or whatsover, we keep stand with our belief, never ever give up & keep believing. And what I want to emphasize is that we never force them and control them to be what we want. We just could praying, wishing, and BELIEVE that our eyes didn't read wrongly. We sincerely hope for the best HAPPINESS for them, even if it means they didn't end up together (For non-shipper, you could found that on our beginning pages, a lot of us said, even they didn't end up together, as long as they maintained as a close friends, it was enough for us). AND WE RESPECT THEIR INDIVIDUAL DECISIONS and never bashed anyone that related to them. But even non-shippers are admitting that JG & JE never look so glowing & happy like this before. But we could see & feel easily that aura when they are together. So that make us believe stronger and stronger that THEIR HAPPINESS REASON RECENTLY IS BECAUSE THEY ARE TOGETHER. AND OF COURSE WE WILL FULLY SUPPORT IT!! SO WATCH OUT HATERS!!

No, I think the fan service for each other concert / fan meeting in Taiwan is LJG idea. Having seen the sub by @qwenli of what IU said at the end of JG fan meeting, you will see it was JG idea that they show out at each other concert / fan meeting for SoHae fans.

 

I also think this is the reason why JG's CEO also was present at his fan meeting. Cause this is JG first time inviting a guest to perform in his fan meeting. Also I can't imagine how much JG must have plead with his CEO to bring forward his FM date to be next to IU concert after they have already set a date for his FM. Image all the trouble they must go through to cancel all the previous booking and making last minute adjustment. His CEO must be worried of how the fans would react to IU so he came along in case he need to do damage control.
