I think rather than penitent, it's more about trust and acceptance by the seniors towards their juniors. That's my two cents anyway, I don't know enough about Thai University subculture to guess more.

Yeah that part was so cute!! I saved that clip of Arthit pressing the beer against Kong so that I can go back and watch it over and over and over again  I was in a rush so I only made 1 gif from that scene, but now I'm realizing that I should have made more  ...maybe another day ^^

Oh yeah btw, I'm now convinced that that abs pic from Oajun's IG that get reposted on here all the time (you guys probably know the one? with the beige shorts, in the water, and the paint on his face) is from SOTUS  Way back at episode 1 I saw that pic on his IG and was desperately hoping that it was from SOTUS so that we could see all that in the drama 5555 ...Sadly though, those beautiful abs weren't really showcased in ep 8 ㅠㅠ But I was definitely pleased with those Kong scenes  so I shouldn't be complaining 

 

   This post killed me coz I died, bled out from *nosebleed*. This episode, I just can't..... I have no words for it. There's lots of half nekid boys, (Aim/ Emm, Tiw, Kong), P'Arthit in his undershirt, lots of Emo!Kong, I especially LOVE the Jealous!Kong from the water when he saw the girls having fun with HIS P'Arthit and he went to stake his claim coz after this confrontation with Arthit, Arthit went to sit inside rather than have fun with the girls, Mission Accomplished! , his Guilty!Kong face when he was caught with his friends drinking alcohol in their room on a Uni sanctioned outing, His Adorable!Kong face when he met P'Arthit in front of the restaurant, and doing the Tongue!thing and the Biting!Lipsthing whenever he's with His P'Arthit. His Apology!Kong face when he asked for forgiveness when sitting on the beach at night with only His P'Arthit.

I always appreciate @delightful and other buddies helping us understand this lovely drama. I am grateful for what you guys have amazingly done for us. I send my true gratitude to all you guys.

this series gives me more comfortable feelings than other bls. maybe coz of actors' natural and matured acting skills. I am sure this series will never disappoint me.(very tiny things are bothering me though.)

Thank you, Krist and Singto. I am really happy that although I don't know Thai, your facial expressions and tones of voice make me feel you, sympathize with your road to love.

Especially, ep 8, I even more became to love this first year man, Kongpob. he portrayed his emotional up and down really well. all his attention is only to his Arthit. also I can see his feelings through his wet eyes which are not shedding tears right now but sooner or later must do it like in the trailer.

Kongpob reminds me of the lead man in the movie called NOTE BOOK which shows, I think, a true love story of a couple especially a man who loves only one woman in his entire life. whenever I watch Sotus, Kongpob looks the same as the man in NOTE BOOK. I mean, Kongpob looks destined to love only one person in his life regardless of whether his love is a woman or a man. I don't know why i become to think like this, maybe bcoz of his trustworthy wet eyes? For me, He is meant to encounter his only love, Arthit, here in university. That would be why he is more and more desperate to get Arthit's attention. I feel He blindly loves Arthit in a good way. maybe there isn't a rational reason. I don't know when Kongpob started to love Arthit, but I think his love started from the very beginning.

I felt strange sometimes when I watched Kongpob's behaviors to Arthit. Kongpob is very polite to his seniors and he mostly greets them with Thai's way of greeting, 'Wai'. However, I rarely see he uses Wai to Arthit when he is only with Arthit in person. Imao he would not like to treat Arthit just like other seniors but be on an equal footing with Arthit.

Anyhow falling in love takes less than a second but can last to death. if this is the case for Kongpob, He just can't help but blindly love Arthit. that's all. Can he explain his feelings to himself? maybe not. He is just a starter of his love life. He might be obsessed with a lot of confusion, nervousness, anxiety and simultaneously both emotional and sexual desires for Arthit. A variety of feelings in Kongpob might have influence over him now. ha... limits of poor English...

and....

Arthit, as a leader of hazing team, must feel a lot of pressure not expressed by words. He is also just a uni student and very young only 2 years older than Kongpob but I think, he endures most of things caused by Kongpob.(joking about making him a wife, running 54 round punishment, name tag issue and so on ) Ep 8 shows his generosity to his juniors, particularly Kongpob. When freshies made fun of him by 'Kongpob-Arthit' role-playing, he shouted to them but let it pass. He gave a sincere speech through the vid and even became part of a human bridge for them. I am so impressed by his matureness.  He is a kind of proud young man outside but also generous inside.

I feel our two leads are making an ideal love in my dreams come true. unconditional, long-lasting love might be everybody's hope bcoz it scarcely exists on the planet. but they make me believe it.

 

I am looking forward to watching their love development in ep 9 next week!
