@Jillia i love your insight about the spindle and so forth, makes me think of the scene in a much more 

it's funny how the King has become one of the most hated characters, even if we try to understand his condition, its just not acceptable. 

this cliffhanger has left me really excited and curious about the next 2 ep's. I wonder what they will have in store for us. 

This is the only drama this year that I have been so invested in, everything about it just appeals to me. all that's left is a happy ending. pleassssssssssssseeeeeeeeeeeeeee

This drama doesnt try to explain everything to viewers but leave clues here and there through conversations.

No one in the story knew how hgn survived and everyone especially raon's mum was surprised. The head eunuch then said he never knew where he was or found him and thought he was dead. At this moment, no one is questioning how he stayed alive but rather how to get him our alive or to kill him. 

I didnt think this part was so bad. They needed to resolve the root of their issue of their relationship in order to have a "happy ending". I think thats why hgn was brought into the picture. At least the cp know his motivation for rebellion was to provide better life for people when officials were overtaxing the people. At least it shows the cp as someone with similae ideas to hgn and though their status is different( they have the same ideas. That pave a better way to their eventual reunion of raon and cp.:) ( i hope! ) 

 

i like how hy discover cp love raon in this show. Its better she know he love her as a woman rather than think he likes his eunuch. The impact is more heartfelt. I hope she plays a crucial role in helping them. 

 

By had to do what he do to get them out and I hope ys can join forces since he is right there. I hope it is revealed that pm kim used the peasant rebellion as an excuse to attempt to kill king but failed and framed hgn as someone wanting to kill the king. 

 

Hope the little princess managed to talk and revealed pm kim 's evil deeds eg killing cp mother. 

 

For me, This episode most epic moment is when cp and raon sat down and talked. I especially like how cp commented how it is dark with clouds with no moon and how he cant walk in the dark and he will stay there longer. Like his little smile when he said he can finally sleep well tonight. Its like he could breathe again when he knew shes in the palace with him: 

 

the other epic moment is when the king and hgn knew cp love raon through minister kim's reveal. When he didnt speak and looked on with determination. I find that wildly attractive. A man with steely resolve. 

 

I miss the cute moments but I hope all this angst will make their eventual reunion sweeter and happier. Hopefully all the issues can be resolved without any drop in quality. If there is anything i dont like about korean dramas is many dont have good endings and often times the ending often appear rushed and unthought through. Hopefully mdbc can prove me wrong again with a good strong finish.

Agree that BY is not really want to hurt CP.  And CP is well aware of this too. 

Also, CP knows BY is sacrificing himself with this stunt.

i was hoping for YS to play the baby switching trump card at a bigger scale event say, during the confrontation fight at the end of episode 16.

But l reckon YS will again bring up the baby switching trump card to force the evil queen (and the useless king) to vacate her throne and having her jailed.

Actor Park Bo Gum made an all-kill on the Korean music charts with his newly released OST for 'Moonlight Drawn by Clouds.'

 

The OST, "My Dearest," was released at noon on October 11 in Korea and immediately soared to the top of all the major music charts. 

"My Dearest" is the 11th track from the OST album for the drama. It sings sweetly of the love that Lee Young (Park Bom's character) has for his beloved.

Hi Chingus! Is there a way where we can all sign a petition to make the final episode 2 hour long since they have the 2 hour  time slot?  So the writters can have more time  for the story to evolve and  give us an amazing ending since it's probably close to never will we ever see PBJ and KYJ paired in a drama again.

Yes!  Finally saw Episode 16 with subs.  Whew.

I will stick to what I said last night:  THIS EPISODE IS DAEBAK.  Wow.  I totally agree with @honeywell that the last 20 minutes of the episode is the best part.  I was watching it a while ago (for the second time now) and my hand still flew to my mouth when the rebels drew out their swords right before Ra-On's head was about to be cut off.  Daaaaaeeeeebaaaaaak.

Allow me to divulge all my feels in this lengthy post and please feel free to share your thoughts.

I love how Lee Young allows Ra-on to be entangled with his mother's memories.  The rain, the secret room.  (Segue:  When I read the "spindle" symbolism in a post from @Jillia, I had to draw a breath.  Omoooooooo.)  Whatever happens next week, we know for sure that Ra-On is forever a part of him.

This came as a surprise, but my heart really broke for Ha-Yeon.  I thought I would be happy that the wedding did not push through.  Well, yeah, sort of.  (Keep calm, Yeong-On shippers.  I am still, and always, on your side.)  But during that scene when she was putting the pieces together, I couldn't help but feel sorry for her.  Perhaps it was less painful when she didn't know who that maiden was.  As they always say, what you don't know won't hurt you, right?

I dunno how many times I clutched my chest because the scene was so painful, but those scenes with Ra-On and her parents always have a soft spot in my heart.  The scene when Hong Gyong-Nae appreared to his wife, when he was trying to keep the guards away, when Ra-On's eomma helplessly watched as he was cornered, when he met Ra-On for the first time... these prove that not all dramatic scenes need sobbing or even long, emotional dialogues.  You just have to look at their eyes and see the struggle.  Argh.  Here comes the waterworks.

Hats off to Yoon-Sung, our always dependable second lead.  He has proven his love for Ra-On over and over again even if it means going against his family and threatening the Queen (For his guts, let me give you a slow clap).  I would feel bad if the creative team doesn't give him his own happy ending.

Ah, this episode's hero:  Gat Byung-Yeon.  He had to make the hard decisions all the time.  It might not seem like it, but I think he chose to keep both Ra-On and the Crown Prince safe.  Instead of seeing it as an act of betrayal, I take it as a proof of loyalty.  He knows the rebels would not give it a second thought to hurt the Crown Prince if push comes to shove so he had to step in.  My only worry is how he would be able to save himself from this act.

Given that we are approaching the climax, I would be content with the Yeong-On scenes we were given last night.  I heaved a sigh of relief when I saw they were walking side by side again, their steps in synch, as they were making their way to Jahyeondang.  It reminded me of simpler times and made me miss the days when Ra-On was still that streetwise rascal and Lee Young was still playful and carefree.  But then, things have changed.  *sigh*  So, for the meantime, we might as well settle with that scene in the hideout - them sitting apart, looking at each other's eyes and Lee Young saying, maybe after a long while, he finally can sleep well later. *long sigh*

Just a few more "Woah" moments for me:

• When Ra-On's head was about to be cut-off, Lee Young drew Byung-Yeon's sword (but was interrupted by the commotion that followed).  Although he kept silent throughout Minister Kim's accusations, Seja Jeoha is always to the rescue!
• Hong Gyong-Nae's reaction when Minister Kim said that the Crown Prince was intimate with his daughter.  I was like, "Uh-oh. Daddy found out!"  And maybe, HGN was like, "Aha!  That's why you're trying to get on my good side!"  Just kidding. 
• Eunuch Sung seeing Ra-On and Crown Prince on their way to Jahyeondang.  Ugh, why do you always have to catch these things!?  Can you be any more annoying!?
• Park Bo Gum and his angry face and angry voice, the way his jaw clenches...  Oh boy.  Bo Gum-ah, why do you have to be handsome all the time?

According to Nielsen Korea, "Moonlight Drawn by Clouds" came in first with 18.8%.

This is 0.9% more than the previous episode of 17.9%.

MBC "Woman with a Suitcase" rated 9.6% which is 1.4% more than the last episode.

SBS "Scarlet Heart: Ryeo" increased by 1.4% but came in last with 8.2%.

Sigh our hope from ep15 to ep16. Sad but what an episode it was....

The more I think about it, the more I am sure BY did it to clear CP from treason accusation. Premier Kim tried to implicate CP for planning a rebellion with Baek Woon by hiding RO in Donggungjeon. By putting his sword on CP’s neck he indirectly announced himself as a part of Baek Woon and cleared CP’s reputation at once. Genius… I just hope nothing will happen to him. If CP can survive a direct stab to the abdomen, I think BY can also survive this whole mess one way or another. Don’t you think so PD Nim…

One last card that has not been used for quite awhile now, where is teacher Dasan? I am sure he can find a way out of this whole mess. Teacher Dasan please come back… CP needs you… How I missed the mischievous CP in the few first episodes. Can we have a closure for the young princess too? She needs to single handedly wiped out the whole Kim clan from the palace. Sans Yoon Sung of course…

Please PD Nim, is it too much to ask for the three musketeer reunion. Their love for each other was so obvious that it’s a pity we have not seen all 3 together in a happy scene. If I was the CP and I survived this chaotic situation:

•        I will ask my father to retire. Go live with Royal Consort Park Suk-Ui. Shoo...
•        Have Premier Kim Hoen, Queen Kim, Minister Kim Eui-Gyo, Minister Kim Geun-Gyo’s head
•        Appoint Hong Gyong-Nae and Teacher Dasan (Jeong Yak-Yong) as minister. At least there are 3 vacant posts, right? #insertevillaugh 
•        Appoint Minister Jo Man-Hyeong (ex ‘father in law’) as Premier. He seems to have a good head on his shoulders
•        And last but not the least… Marry the love of my life… Hong Ra On… and live happily ever after

I also was thinking if ro will get injured trying to shield cp from attack. Then she will be resting in bed while cp settles her dad's case, of cos to clear his name and get rid of kim clan. King will also forgive ro for her sins cos she use her life to dave cp. N ro will wake up to see cp by her bed, her father n mum well dressed all in the palace by her bed too.

Then she will naturally be in female hanbok, walking around in the garden with cp and even doing all their lovey dovey stuff which they cant do before. And they will meet princess and master jung. They will also play happily and bump into king and suki mama who decided to let them have a wedding.

As for hy, biyane. Maybe is best for her to leave the palace. 

 

Ending of cos to see the prep of wedding n actual wedding taking place. N with cp taking over the position of king and ruling the country with queen ro. 

Last ending could be their kids grew up and all looking at the moon and cp n ro trying to explain how the moon is still the constant that exist till now
