Actor Lee Jun Ki recently posed for a photo shoot with 'Singles' magazine, charming everyone with his fall-inspired outfits and gorgeous looks. During an interview at the photo shoot site, the actor discussed his thoughts on his dramas, TV ratings, and his overall acting career and some choices he has had to make. 

 

When asked to talk about his current drama, 'Scarlet Heart: Ryeo' Lee Jun Ki admitted, "I have worries about the TV ratings." As a big drama with its original, Chinese version having had huge success, the Korean version is not doing as well in terms of TV ratings. Lee Jun Ki stated, "I feel sad. All the actors and staff worked so hard. Everyone worked so hard..." Aside from the TV ratings, the drama is getting a lot of positive feedback, and many are praising Lee Jun Ki's acting. However, he did not make excuses, saying, "I have no regrets. As a leading role, I must have a sense of responsibility with its success, including TV ratings. As I watch this drama, I am looking for what it is lacking." 

 

His monitoring does not end there. Lee Jun Ki says that he reads all the comments on articles related to him. He explained, "Not just my works, but I watch almost all dramas and movies that are out to analyze what people like, why certain dramas have high ratings, and why some don't do as well. It helps me be a better actor for the next work and also helps me to select scripts." 

 

When questioned about plans to get married, he responded, "I have my priorities. I want to be settled as an actor first. It's not just about performing well as an actor. I think a lot about how I can be chosen by the public consistently...Yes, I do feel frustrated with myself sometimes too."

Also, a recent IG post by Yoon Sun Woo (who plays the 9th prince) included a hashtag that is one of his character's nicknames used on the DC forum, suggesting that he's aware of its existence. For now, DC is blocking foreign IPs on the desktop site, but the mobile version is accessible internationally.

His father trains him well in his chopsticks skills. He mentioned it before in his healing camp episode.

You have to wonder whether Wang So isn’t simply pretending (and he is TOTALLY pretending because he CAN FIGHT WITH BOTH HANDS) BECAUSE HE ACTUALLY WANTS SOO TO FEED HIM since the scene obviously continues with him feeding Soo, as well (a part which was deleted once again). 

 

The whole scene gives such a feeling of perfect marital bliss that you almost expect that a “JUST MARRIED” sign must be hanging somewhere on the wall. The fact that they FEED EACH OTHER IS SO APTLY SYMBOLIC AND IT UNDERSCORES THE HONEYMOON MOOD EVEN MORE because it’s a direct parallel to the previous night and the shadow play - besides the wolves, they did multiple shadows of bird mates and MOST BIRD MATES ACTUALLY FEED EACH OTHER WHEN THEY AREBREEDING(hint: a baby) MATING.

Well , I feel so sad for the last interview of LJK, He is a great actor and Scarlet heart ryeo is an amazing and captivating drama .All they worked hard ,I feel really vad for all. 

Ratings is in Korea are so unfair , this drama is so underrated 

Tbh I don't think that ratings will increse the next week , even this week SHR was almost last (so unfair) , the second highest rating was for other drama 

Sometimes I wanna go to Naver and show my support to this drama in the articles but I can't understand korean and one comment is irrelevant

I always like her...all her behaviours are for reasons..i have no complaint...this is my first IU drama that i watch and i really like her as HS...HS is flawed..because she is human..i can relate her struggle..if i were in her shoes, being transported back in a strange land on strange time, i think i will go bonker. She's strong, and she tries hard to adapt. I respect her for that.

Woke up and the first thing I got was that kind of article... seriously ruin my mood for the rest of the day... I think WS is the best character LJG has been so far, and seriously it's not about his acting at all. His acting is 100% PERFECT, and some other casts' acting might be lacking in the beginning but they've done better in the recent episodes!! The problem is on the editing, hands up. It's like cooking, you can have the best materials and recipe but if the chef messes up then the dishes will come up messed up as well. LJG is the best material caught up in a bad chef's hand. and I can't stand him taking all the blame just because he is the lead role. Like seriously LJG, it's not about you, it's never about your acting, stop taking the responsibility!!!

MLSHR fans in Soompi, can we do something to show SBS and the casts, particularly LJG about MLSHR effect internationally? Does someone have a connection with Korean fans so we can give our support and make sure that it reaches them? I don't want LJG remembers MLSHR and WS as his failure. Regarding the fans video support, anyone here can give more details how to participate? Thank you so much.

I think Korean prefer literal and somehow banal drama. Something easy and do not require any further interpretation. This doesn't only happen in Korea, but worldwide. However, some works managed to be a not-just-literal and banal.

MLSHR is like a literature work. Meanwhile, today's public doesn't want to bother to find what's not been said by the dialog, by the words. It is a tendency of today's media industry. Lost the depth of a work, whether it is music, film or anything.

This industry moves so fast, it doesn't leave too much space for indepth work such as MLSHR.

I guess i am lecturing. Sorry guys.

Ooooh yes, now I remember that, thank you for reminding me. Now this makes me wonder if the supposedly Queen is the one that is the former Hubaekje concubine, or if the Hubaekje woman is still a concubine status when Yo became king. If it's the latter, maybe this is one of the creative licenses that the writers take

i already did through his instagram's private message  hope he read it and lurk here

i feel so sad reading what he said on that article. actually he already know about how international fans love mlshr especially when youku viewer reached 1 billion, he posted a special thanks to youku's viewer. but  we can't blame him for his dissappointment about the ratings. one term of the successfull of the drama in sk is the rating. and we know that actor's hard work acknowledge by the awards given to them and if they want to be nominated, the drama should achieved good ratings. yes the system is sucks. what to do. 

i don' t know about korean interrest. i watched a korean drama which have low ratings in korea but youku viewer reached 3,5 billion. and the ost in top ranks in itunes and wellknown all over the world. how come? 

i think with all this hallyu wave,  korean filming industry must change their regulation. ratings no longer become the only important thing for the actors to get acknowledge and awards. i believe those actors can work harder with full of happy atmosphere if they don't have to care about the ratings anymore. 

but i agree if we can send something to him about how international fans all over the worls love mlshr so much. hope that can ease his dissappointment..

Sorry, but I hope that it was just me... But I felt that in Lee Joon-gi's interview for the Singles Magazine, he responded to my post that I made about him being a great actor awhile back.

But all I can say is that his words in the interview are true. Not every one is born to be a great actor, star, or well-known legend in the film industry. For example, JAWS (which by the way is my number 1 favorite Film). Steven Spielberg had made a lot of risks and there were bumps along the way, like the Shark not working. That film relied on acting alone to pull off terrifying scenes, such as the beginning scene with the girl getting attacked by the Shark. Watch the documentary for JAWS (and the movie, if you haven't seen it) and you will understand what I mean. No matter the many challenges that Film had during the creating process, it still was a success and still is. That it practically made a Globe change. I could name a dozen or more films and TV shows that became successful due to the acting and dedication of the actors, director, and film crew put in. Plus, there are risks that need to be made to creating and experiencing something truly amazing. 

So, Mr. Lee Joon-gi. It is a big risk to come to Hollywood and perform in a USA film because no one will probably know who you are (Sorry, if I was being a little Blunt but I didn't know he existed for quite some time) and to tell you the truth, its going to take more than just one American Film to be known worldwide. Not everyone is going to watch Resident Evil 6: The Final Chapter (and parents out there, make sure that you Don't take your children to this film if you haven't seen the trailer). Therefore, find that one film or script that will speak to the world and not just your world, but out there where you can be known as one of the greatest legendary actors with their hand in Hollywood. But please, don't try to beat yourself up about your career. You have a long, long way to go before you're done, I mean there are actors who were well-known in their youth that still perform even if they have grey hair and wrinkles, like Julie Andrews and Harrison Ford (just a few examples that you may or may not know). 

What I am trying to say is no matter the many challenges and delays that Scarlet Heart: Ryeo may have, it will be a fabulous success in the end that even now people are still watching the previous episodes and will be watching this Drama throughout the years in Korean Drama history. Don't let the day ratings get to you, because it is the long term reviews from the viewers that really matter. We, the audience, can't control the TV Network But We do control the reviews and responses to the Drama, and so far it is looking positive.

Hit the Like button, if you believe that Scarlet Heart: Ryeo will be or is a wonderful drama and show them our support as the audience.

We cannot deny sometimes we find fake fabricated BTS scene

to make it as sweet as possible to attract more views and to make fans believe the main casts have good chemistry......
