Newsie
Rapper Jessi recently opened up about her ‘tough unni’ image, the difficulties she faced after debuting, and her thoughts on haters. On the May 20 broadcast of SBS’ entertainment news program “One Night of TV Entertainment,” Jessi, a recently trending star in the variety world, sat down for an interview and discussed a variety of topics. When asked about being in the spotlight, Jessi expressed, “I’m honestly very happy. I’ve been promoting for a long time. When I first debuted through Uptown in 2005, I was only 16 years old. At that time, I didn’t know anything. I wasn’t very well-accepted on variety because I was too honest.” The rapstar also talked about what it was like for her following her debut: “For 10 years, my parents sent me money. When I didn’t have enough money, I would sleep in saunas. I want to buy a house for my parents when I make [enough] money.” When asked about how she maintains her figure, Jessi explained, “I don’t really do much to maintain [my figure].” On the topic of her ‘tough unni’ image that has stuck with her since appearing on “Unpretty Rapstar,” Jessi shared, “I think my ‘tough unni’ image will last forever. But that’s okay. There are a lot of people that don’t like me, but I don’t pay attention to that because there are a lot of people that love me.” Source (1)View the full article
