Guest curiousplay
You know, i heard another interpretation of the ending : That it's still the same kang tae young and han ki joo whom we have been following all along in the end. They are just re-acting how they have met before. That's why she can use ki-joo's laptop (most housekeeper would not dare to do that) and tae young is simply writing her own love story. And the newspaper article, she realise that its portraying about them and she is simply "amused" when she saw it. For the part when ki-joo throws the bitten green apple and talks to someone on the phone, he's actually talking to her and kind of jokes around about wanting to fire her and find a better maid. I don't know how good this explanation is..heard it from a friend so I thought I should share it with u guys here

Guest curiousplay
i have no idea about this, curiousplay maybe i've missing this episode It's the last episode, the last 15min which got many people confused. Remember the black-shoed han ki-joo and tae-young who wears glasses and sells teddy bears? That's the part I am talking about. But whatever the interpretations might be, I just think this is such a great series. Really like it so much! I have rewatch it a few times now. Hahhhaha. And i will never listen to moon river the same way again ever since LIP. *sigh...

Guest curiousplay
One thing i do not understand though, after knowing that Sook Hyuk has not really lost his memory, why do they still have to separate and meet only two years later?
Guest tsukushi_makino
One thing i do not understand though, after knowing that Sook Hyuk has not really lost his memory, why do they still have to separate and meet only two years later? Cuz Tae Young had to finish her studies in Paris and they wanted to meet by destiny again. They didn't want to plan and meet. They both wanted to live in Paris the way they wanted and meet somewhere without planning, or in other words, by destiny.
Guest curiousplay
Hmm so maybe that's where the part where they were sitting by the river comes in. Where tae young ask if they will ever meet if she had not become his maid. And ki-joo replied that they would have. Guess that's destiny Hey let's have a poll just for fun. Whom do you prefer? Han Ki-Joo or Yoon Sook Hyuk ;p Lemme answer that first --> Ki Joo ssi for me!

Guest tsukushi_makino
I'd choose Ki Joo over Suh Yok too. Suh Yok is good looking and nice and all, but Ki Joo is just so cute. He would look much much much better with Tae Young than others. They are not married in real life, are they??? Learn Korean: Pari (Pa-ri) = Paris ui = to/of/for/'s yeonin (yeon-in) = lovers aja (a-ja) = an expression used to encourage people Lovers in Paris” Hits Highest Viewing Rate of 51.5 Percent AUGUST 09, 2004 22:14 by Sun-Woo Kim (sublime@donga.com) The Seoul Broadcasting System’s (SBS) popular TV drama “Lovers in Paris,” which airs at 9:45 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, hit a record high on August 8, leaving two more episodes before concluding on August 15. On August 8, the TV drama broke an existing viewing record with 51.5 percent, according to TNS media Korea, a research company. “Lovers in Paris,” which had a 50 percent viewing rate on July 25, lost a big portion of their viewers on July 31 and August 1, respectively, showing subsequent viewing rates of 37.6 percent and 39.2 percent. However, it rebounded back to its previous level last Sunday. People analyzed that the semifinal match of the Asian Cup between Iran and South Korea, which was shown on July 31, was the main reason why people turned their backs on “Lovers in Paris” last week. Also, some people say that the negative preview over the revenge plot between Yun Soo-hyeok (played by Lee Dong-gun) and Han Gi-joo (played by Park Shin-yang) turned viewers away from watching the drama that weekend. However, on August 8, the scenes that Gang Tae-yeong (played by Kim Jeong-eun) broke the relationship with Han Gi-joo grabbed viewers’ attention. While Gi-joo was away buying ice cream upon Tae-yeong’s favor, she disappeared, leaving a tape-recording containing their engagement break up. Afterwards, Gi-joo tottered back, bringing his bicycle, as Tae-yeong didn’t show up. The viewers deeply empathized with the scenes when Gi-joo cried out in miserable sorrow in front of his sister, saying, “I never expected it would be this hard,” and when Tae-yeong had tears rolling down as she left Gi-joo behind. A big fan of the drama, Lee Jae-cheon, left a message on the SBS online bulletin board after watching it during the lunch break at work the day following the airing, saying, “It was so sad when Gi-joo cried, and I also happened to cry while watching Tae-yeong cry, which gave me a hard time as I was criticized by my boss.” The enormous popularity of “Lovers in Paris” continued with other entertaining programs on August 8. The SBS’s variety show program, “I Love Sunday,” featuring all the stars of the drama, hit the highest viewing rate with 18.1 percent on August 8 since its first airing on March 28. The program usually has around an eight percent viewing rate, but its rate increased by 10 percent on that day. “At the last episode, Gi-joo and Tae-yeong parted, but we’ll finish the series with a happy ending,” said a SBS employee. I found this from here Factoid: This drama was filmed in part in Paris. Park Shin Yang's character is fluent in French, while Kim Jung Eun's character struggles to learn French. In real life, the French spoken by Park Shin Yang is very difficult for a French-speaking person to understand. found this from here As drama 'Lover in Paris' starring Kim jung eun, Park shin yang, and Lee dong gun, holds the 35th rank in a search language part among Japanese netizens just after its first week satellite broadcasting on the spot, the drama is being estimated to gain no less syndrome than 'Winter Sonata' in Japan. 'Lover in Paris' synopsis depicits as follows: Tae-young (Kim Jung Eun) is a poor film student studying in Paris. To be able to pay her rent she works for Ki-Joo (Park Shin Yang), head of a financial group, as his housekeeper. Later a musician, Soo-hyuk (Lee Dong Gun), meets Tae-young and falls in love with her... Broadcasting officials in Nippon TV satellite said that in the meanwhile, numerous dramas have been aired through Nippon TV satellite, but what shows such a record just after its broadcasting first week, is a rare event. 'Lover in Paris' was aired for the first time in Jan. 1, 2005 through Nippon TV satellite. Once the drama begins its ground wave broadcasting from March, this year, 'Lover in Paris' will be just as good as 'Winter Sonata' in terms of the drama's popularity among Japanese TV viewers, the officials added. found this one from here. Guest curiousplay
Nope, they are not married in real life. Park Shin Yang has been happily married for 3 years plus now and even has a cute little daughter Ladyzfingers, so you prefer Sook Hyook? His character kind of gets to me at first but after re-watching it, he manage to get my sympathy especially the last episode where he cries and says Tae Young, sarangda. Woah..that's just so sad.
