On December 12, KPJ, the production company behind upcoming drama “Hyde, Jekyll, I,” responded to recent rumors claiming that male lead Hyun Bin will be paid more than 100 million KRW (approx. 90,700 USD) per episode. KPJ’s CEO Jang Jin Wook told Star News, “We have never allotted 100 million won to pay Hyun Bin [per episode]. Because of [the terms of] the contract, it is difficult to disclose the exact amount, but he is not being paid the excessive amounts claimed in reports. While it is true that there is a provision for a bonus based on how the drama sells overseas, sales have not begun so it is hard to estimate his earnings [after the bonus].” In upcoming SBS Wednesday-Thursday drama “Hyde, Jekyll, I,” Hyun Bin will star alongside actress Han Ji Min. "Hyde, Jekyll, I" will be Hyun Bin’s first drama since completing military service. He has been cast for the role of a man suffering from multiple personality disorder, and Han Ji Min will play a woman who is caught in a love triangle with two of his opposing personalities. "Hyde, Jekyll, I" is set to take over “Pinocchio’s” time slot on January 28.
