“Jang Bori Is Here” Finale Reaps 35 Percent of Viewer Share

The finale of MBC’s weekend drama “Jang Bori Is Here” registered a massive 35 percent of the Korean viewing rate, according to statistics released by AGB Nielsen Media Research. The shows’ makers had hoped the drama would go a step further and break the 40 percent barrier, as previous episodes of the show had reached just over 37 percent of the viewer share. AGB Nielsen Media Research revealed that the last episode of “Jang Bori Is Here” had registered a 1.7 percent increase in the viewer share from the series’ penultimate broadcast, however. The drama scored a viewing rate far above its nearest rival programs, KBS2’s “What's With This Family,” which scored just over 6 percent, and SBS’ “Mother's Choice,” which registered 2.2 percent of the share. Jang Bori1 In the final episode of the show, the title character was confirmed as the successor to a powerful hanbok (traditional Korean dress) business, and looked set to live happily ever after with her husband. Her main rival, Yeon Min Jung, meanwhile, was forced to regret her unpleasant behavior.
