B.A.P's leader, Bang Yong Guk, is now one of the seven finalists for the Shorty Award for Social Media's Best Activism.

Bang Yong Guk was nominated for his dedication and contribution to charities and organizations through his social media. According to the Shorty Awards website, "Bang Yong Guk has shown interest in activism even before his 2011 debut through donating to UNICEF, World Vision and Save the Children. He creates awareness through his interviews, music and SNS, using his 530K Twitter followers and B.A.P’s Facebook, which is close to 1 million likes...BABY  has, through Bang's works, been inspired to donate money and time in the same manner. Fans now send their certificates to show B.A.P the charity activities they’ve done and B.A.P encourage them via SNS to continue bettering the world."

The winners of the Shorty Awards will be chosen by the Real-Time Academy of Short From Arts and Sciences, and an official ceremony on April 7 will reveal the winners. The show will stream live on the internet.

Congratulations Bang Yong Guk!
