Girl group 2NE1 has been confirmed to make an appearance at MNet Asian Music Awards held in Hong Kong on November 22.

This sudden announcement was made on November 12 and is drawing a lot of attention, as the group was not initially scheduled to attend the event. Especially as 2NE1 has not revealed their plans for the end of the year, people have started to wonder if the girls will be making a surprise comeback at the event.

Recently, fans have been speculating that the group has already shot the music video of their upcoming song, only adding to the possibility of a comeback. Taking into consideration the time of polishing the video and other finishing touches, it seems like the girls might be releasing their new track next week, and holding their comeback stage at MAMA. It would not be the first time 2NE1 released a new song with little to no teasing, as YG Entertainment tends to keep detailed schedules strictly hidden right until the song is revealed.
