Wow so many people listenning to...French songs haha.

I'm not fond of French music, I personally think that French doesn't sound that good when you sing it.

^ doesn't mean French music sucks.

In the one you recommended pink lemons.

I wonder if you understand French, but well it doesn't matter, some of those songs are kind of funny to listen.

Yelle - Je Veux Te Voir the lyrics are ew, but well haha I guess it can be good for foreigners

Yelle Ft. Fatal Bazooka - Parle a ma main those lyrics are seriously hilarious,,,,

Maybe I should recommend Superbus... I don't specially like them but some of the songs are addictive.

Can anyone recommend me French Pop & RnB songs and artists?

Something similar to:

- Rihanna, Ne-Yo, Akon (R&B/Dance)

- No Doubt, Bedouin Soundclash, Avril Lavigne (Pop/Rock/Acoustic)

- BoA, Gwen Stefani, Pussycat Dolls (Pop/Dance)

I like Yelle for some reason, I have a thing for techno/pop, though I dislike over repetitiveness.

I've been studying French since Grade 5, and it's only recent that my interest in it grew.

The french music artist I wanted to recommend has already been mentioned, so I'll give you some advice to get better at French!

If you don't use your French R's, your accent will really suffer. You should also watch French news so you can hear the French words spoken clearly and correctly. So, as long as you use your R's and have the correct flow (your voice should go up and down when you speak in French. After practicing your French a bit more, the flow will come naturally), you'll sound pretty good, maybe even like an authentic French speaker. Good luck on perfecting your French!

Since most of us are Asian on this site, here's a vid of Laure Shang singing one of Jean-Jacques Goldman's songs.

:D

I really like Renan Luce . (he does Accoustic music)

He's very popular here.

The lyrics are just wonderful. Please listen to the songs untitled La Lettre, Repenti, Je Suis Une Feuille

From "Repenti" album

Little - Petite Coccinelle Is great too..she has a beautiful voice!

You can listen to this song sang by her as well :

Little - J'veux des violons (very nice sound according to me.)

Oh and I recommend INA-ICH : Belle Asiatique and Sale Crapaud

I hope you'll appreciate this sound!

I also like the job which is done by Daft Punk and Martin Solveig and David Guetta. They're french, the language in their songs is english though... so forget it it's useless to talk about them in this topic ^^*

Okay, I didn't wanna post this in the pinned thread coz it's french. xD

I once listened to this song, I can't remember what it's called or what it's about. But I remember than there was a girl, and a guy. The guy was african, his r's were rolled. I don't think it was really a duet but they collaborated. Would anyone know what it is? >< I think its a fairly old song.

Can anyone name a good french Indie-band (kinda like The Teenagers but they should sing in french) or know good reggae music?

For French hip-hop/rap, I really like Charly Greane. Try Première Classe (featuring Western Love)

Booba- Pitbull

For pop, Natasha St Pier- J'Oublie

Helene Segara- Je m'appelle helene <-- yeah everyone knows this song lol

For dance, Keen'V- J'perd le control :) hehe

Maybe I should recommend Superbus... I don't specially like them but some of the songs are addictive.

Oh yeah forgot Superbus!

Haha I love Radio Song, it's so catchy.

No, it wasn't. The guy was older. And the song was completely in French. I think ahaha I'm pretty sure it was a sad song about the world? Can't remember. =/

I love 'Butterfly' by Superbus xD I helped my friend translate 'Radio Song'.
