Kang Sora and Nam Bo Ra to Take Legal Action Against False Rumors

Joining a number of celebrities taking action against malicious comments online are actresses Kang Sora and Nam Bo Ra, both of whom are under the agencyWill Entertainment.

On March 21, Will Entertainment released a statement saying, “The rumors online surrounding our artists are entirely groundless. We will no longer close our eyes to the indiscriminate propagation and reproduction of these rumors by various tabloids.”

“We intend to take legal measures against the first distributors of these rumors by giving the investigation over to the police. We will also respond strongly to any groundless rumor-mongering in the future.”

The statement also added that both actresses have been emotionally scarred by the malicious rumors and asked the public for their understanding so that the artists would not be harmed by such issues again.

Nam Bo Ra most recently acted in the drama “My Heart Twinkle Twinkle” while Kang Sora is currently acting in the drama “Neighborhood Lawyer Jo Deul Ho.”

Female stars declare war on prostitution rumors

Female actresses and K-pop stars have declared a war on rumors related to the recent prostitution scandal.

The rumors started after several female celebrities were questioned over suspicion of prostitution acts, with all four admitting the charges later on. The case was dealt by the Seoul Central Prosecutor’s Office that refused to reveal the identity of the celebrities and their broker.

However as the basic information about the persons were unveiled, such as their career and past records, the public started to point fingers at various female celebrities based on the matching features, creating groundless rumors.

Yubin of Wonder Girls was the first celebrity to take legal action against those who spread rumors by accusing her of engaging in commercial sex acts, followed by Dalshabet’s Subin and Yang Ji-won of Spika.

Actress Kang So-ra and Nam Bo-ra‘s agency, Will Entertainment, also released an official announcement to join the war on rumors. 

“Malicious rumors that severely hurt the celebrities’ dignity as a woman will have to face serious consequences. We will press charges against everyone who is either creating or spreading the word.”

What's happening? Kang So-ra and Nam Bo-ra deal with things legally

A bunch of actresses are out to handle things legally; they are Kang So-ra, Nam Bo-ra and Sin Se-kyeongall out to get those who spread unpleasant rumors about them.

Kang So-ra and Nam Bo-ra's agencies Will Entertainment denied the rumors that have been going on about them and claimed they are going to find the person responsible and have him or her pay for it according to the law.

Sin Se-kyeong's agency also claimed the rumors and criticism about an actress has gone beyond the point of what an actress should go through in return for her fame. Nam Actors claimed it was going to find out the people responsible for spreading false rumors based on no evidence and those who helped to spread it and make sure they get appropriate punishment.

What has them so fired up is the infosheet from financial companies. It is unknown where it starts but these infosheets have the names of these actresses.

Yoo Bin started the war with these infosheets first. She was bullied by terrible rumors and JYP Entertainment let out a statement that it was tough for her and her family to handle. They were going to press charges for defamation and mental harm.

It may be 'fun' to some but to others it may be an un-washable pain. Who is going to cure the wounds left by the daggers in the name of 'sexual favors' on a woman? These false rumors and accusations need to be rooted out.
