“Doctor Stranger,” keeping viewers on the edges of their seats with an absorbing story line and talented direction, has given viewers a heads-up with new stills showing Park Hae Jin and Kang Sora, lips locked in an open convertible.

On-screen, Park Hae Jin is Han Jae Joon, an elite, cool-headed cardiothoracic doctor, and Kang Sora is Oh Soo Hyun, the illegitimate child of the hospital’s director, who also works in the cardiothoracic department. The couple had previously been on a date in-hospital in the surgery room, and today’s episode will show the couple enjoying themselves outside of the hospital. Especially notable in the kiss scene was Park Hae Jin taking the wheel, leading a shy Kang Sora.

“Doctor Stranger” is a story about Park Hoon (Lee Jong Suk), who was kidnapped and taken away to North Korea along with his father. Trained by his father to be a doctor, he flees to South Korea and finds work as a surgeon at Dongwoo University Hospital. After losing his first love, he does everything in his power to find her again. 

This episode will air tonight (May 12) at 10 PM (KST) on SBS.

“Doctor Stranger” Kang Sora sheds tears as she faces her mom’s death

She has lived a wealthy life and when she grew up, she wanted to live with her mother again but her mom just pushed her away. Soo hyun collapsed into tears while.

Actress Kang Sora proved her incredible acting skills once again in the new SBS drama Doctor Stranger.

On the 4th episode of Doctor Stranger, Soo Hyun (Kang Sora) collapsed into tears when she remembered her childhood with her mother. She has lived a wealthy life and when she grew up, she wanted to live with her mother again but her mom just pushed her away.

When Soo Hyun’s mother had gone sick and was sent to the hospital, the doctors concluded that her mother’s heart was failing and needed a surgery. As she faced this situation, memories from the past, back in her childhood, were all recalled.

When she got into the elevator of the hospital, Soo Hyun remembered all the happy days when she was still a little girl and was with her mom. She then walked in to the room where her mom was confined and found that her condition was stable. She was relieved but somehow angry at that time. She stood beside her mom and recalled the moment when her mom pushed her away to live her dad, Chairman Oh. But Soo Hyun insisted to stay with her but her mom didn’t want to. She even told Soo Hyun never to come back and slapped her.

Then, as she was about to leave the room, her mom woke up and grabbed her hand. She opened her eyes and smiled. Soo Hyun cried and called her ‘mom’ after a long while.

Since a heart surgery needed to be done, Soo Hyun would do everything to save her mom. She even begged Park Hoon (Lee Jong Suk) to do the surgery but he refused because it would be very risky and fatal. And even if the patient survives, her heart won’t be stabilized and would just leave a severe pain. Despite that, Park Hoon conducted the surgery and went on and lasted for a couple of hours leaving the doctors and other nurses into exhaustion. Eventually, the operation didn’t go well as Park Hoon predicted. He tried reviving the patient but it was all too late. Soo Hyun’s mom died. Soo Hyun collapsed into tears while she was massaging her mom’s heart and trying to say the things that she wanted to say. But it was all too late.
