Sure Interview: Question then GHS's answer in summary~~ Thanks again Ayesuper and meow13!!
Q1--You busily spent the last 2 years with directing and arts and exhibitons. But 2 years is a long time to the fans/public. Did you stress over appearing in dramas?
A1-- It was very difficult for me to choose a drama. I had occasions to not accept proposals and I felt that time was needed for people to forget my acting patters so far and the past images of me. The way I talk is different from 2 years ago; my personality changed too. I also wanted to make some changes to my appearance too. Growing out my hair took just about a year. I am not a prolific actress and yet several of my acting performances have received criticisms. I just felt that I should at least pass 30 and see.

Q2--When did you start to stress over those things?
A2--well,,I think I mentioned it even in the interview 5-6 years ago. I said at that time that I needed time to be forgotten. I was OK with me acting in sitcom and fantasy, but I felt awkward with my acting in historical and modern dramas. I felt out of place. I did not see myself acting naturally when I monitored myself. Most dramas is about normal everyday life issues. I also saw too much facial movements.

Q3--short hair style was your thing, but your long hair is very refreshing.
A3--After BOF ended, I found myself avoiding being "feminine" or wanting to look like "actress". I sincerely avoided being consumed by limited concept of femininity. I really needed a lot of patience. Many actresses find other ways of dealing with that. Most people see my face and think "cute", but I wondered whether I can pass sexy. But time passed and I lost some baby fat and got some wrinkles and my thoughts started to change too. I really and sincerely love short hair but I also got bit bored with it.

Q4--what was difficult for you as an actress?
A4--After BOF, I acted as Go EunBi and Han Dajin. But, instead of being seen as the characters, people were seeing GHS first. What I loved about  BOF is that the people saw and remembered the character first before me GHS. That is what makes actors happy. That is why I judged that time was needed to be forgotten. Of course, most of the roles for which I was approached resembled Geum Jandi a great deal. Even the role in a funny romantic comedy in Taiwan.

Q5--so, to overcome that stress, did you turn to making movies? Since there were hardly any dramas in which you wanted to act, did you wanted to create roles for yourself?
A5--There are many reasons for making movies. I guess one of them is to overcome something. But, ultimately, I learned a great deal by watching the actors perform in my movies. By observing the acting talents starting from Jo SeungWoo, Ryu DukHwan, Nam sangmi to most recently Shim HayJin sunbae-nim, my own sense about the foundation of acting started to change. Somehow all the difficult memories of acting suddenly disappeard and my desire to act again came back.

Q6--time can give strength and courage.
A6--Certainly I think I am different in my 20s and 30's. In my 20's, I was too confident and too fearless. I am sure some of the cockiness came from illusions and delusions through excessive praises. I may not be technically 30 yet as my bday has not passed (smile) but as I enter 30's, I have become bold. Everything passes and nothing it too much of a deal, but I have also become much more careful and discreet in the face of making choices.

Q7--So, after a long time, you have decided to act in <Angel Eyes>, a script written by BOF script writer Yoon Jiryun. Did that motivate you to take the role?
A7---An acquaintance/friend casually recommended that I work with Director Choi MoonSuk. Then, Dir Choi proposed the role to me. Then, I found out later that the script is the work of Yoon Jiryun and I believe in her work. I felt moved and agreed with the Angel Eyes. In the story of Angel Eyes, Yoon SuWan has a boyfriend. But, she also had a past boyfriend with whom she shared a genuine love and she cannot forget him who protected and stood by her. It is first love when your heart flutters even at the slightest touch of clothing and how important that feeling was because it was first love. There are no characters in her script that are calculating...as in BOF. Angel Eyes is written based on original as it was with BOF.

Q8-I heard that Yoon SW is a character who is blind but finds sights through surgery.
A8- I saw couple of episodes acted by Kang HaNeul and Nam JiHyun as the younger versions. Their acting really touched me. They are both pretty and their expression of love was pretty. Lee SangYoon-ssi who watched it next to me was seen tearing.

Q9--Your character is a rescue worker. Did you have to train?
A9--I was trained in CPR, in using equipments necessary for emergency, in measuring blood pressure, in implementing various emergency procedures that are necessary if the roadway is blocked or if a child is in crisis, etc.

Q10--weekend drama tends to be very family-oriented. So, what kind of drama is Angel Eyes?
A10--All this time I avoided doing "mellow" dramas. Of course, BOF was also a love story, but so far I have not acted in any sticky-gooey love story between man and woman. This drama is a real "melo".

Q11--Director along with his directing team must study and research. Is it different for actors?
A11--I believe that prejudice/bias exist on location between directors and actors. Everybody knows that actors has to follow directors. When I was a rookie actress, I could not understand it. I could not understand why the director was not ready with everything when everybody came on time to work. We tend to think only from our perspective especially as a rookie. But by directing, I learned that even if you are prepared in advance to T, unforeseen things tend to happen. My personality is not that good, but I find that as time passes with more experience, my personality is becoming more flexible and easy-going. So, I feel much more comfortable.

Q12--collaborating with Lee SangYoon is most important in this new drama?
A12-- I found that LSY's personality is really good. He is an actor who does not act like so-called actors. All the current acting team is like that---Kwon HyeHyo sunbae-nim, Gong HyungJin sunbae-nim, SangYoon-ssi and Kim JiSuk-ssi. I really don't like actors who are impolite to the staff.

Q13--I saw while filming that you have a side to you that is decisive and stubborn which I did not realize before. I thought that your style is always being cute.
A13--Everybody says that. But, I just cannot be cute til death.(laughter)

Q14--I have always been curious about something. You may say you needed to have time so you made a movie. But creating is not easy thing to do. It is actually very hard. But what is it that is putting you on the road of creativity so consistently?
A14--Before going into acting, I was always into art. I even prepared to go into art school. But things happen in life that we did not expect. "ulzzang" concept came out and who would have thought it would become big. So, acting came my way. But I did not and could not stop drawing and it also led me to writing. I had extremely strong desire to expressTwhat was inside. That led to directing. It is something that I always just do.

Q15--Recently, you also made a documentary on HNSH.---2 episodes of it!
A15--HNSH is a personality that my old teacher really loved. I also always wanted to study her in depth. It is a project that GangWon MBC and I worked together and it took about one year to complete.

Q16--I saw in your twitter a pix of you alone in front of a monitor wearing a heavy coat. It felt warm and yet also exuded feelings of physical exhaustion and feelings of loneliness.
A16--In my 20's, I enjoyed getting together with friends to drink and socialize and loved being with crowds of people. But I became more focused as I became more clear about who and what I like.

Q17--your movies are not about easy and familiar issues and deals with subtle emotions. I would think that dealing with such projects can emote loneliness and wouldn't that make you want to do dramas?
A17--I try to understand why I do not like crowded places or enjoy company of too many people. Even if I am with someone, I like to come home and eat by myself. I became independent early. Physically and financially, I am more comfortable being by myself.

Q18--Have you ever imagined a actress walking on red carpet? Like Jeon DoHyun-sunbae-nim?
A18--hmm, response could be dangerous. One really cannot predict the future. Even my becoming an actress was an unforeseen opportunity. Among my goals was making a movie and so I directed. All the things that I wanted to do, I have actually done them. But, I do not yet have among my goals to become an actress like Jeon Do Hyun sunbaenim.

Q19--Then, do you at least think about marriage?
A19--In my 20's, I always thought about it. At that time, I even had someone I loved. I thought about marrying him and having a child..that kind of imagination. But, these days, I dream about living in a very tiny house. I think about what would it be like to live in a house smaller than "10-pyung"-->??10 square feet?? Recently I saw in a book a house that is 3-pyung big. I would think about living in a small house with only what is most essential and living as an actress. I wonder if a husband and a child can fit in there.

Q20--small house is very trendy these days,,,,along with simple life style..
A20---I also raise several pets. I think about what it would be like to build such a house in a quiet area and live. Such thoughts make me happy. I would think what would be the structure of the house...what has to be there inside that small space....where would be a good place to hang clothes...where is the best location for the bathroom....

she has done and accomplished everything that she wanted to do. In her dream, she die not mention continuing on with movie--making....But that cannot be!!
Creativity and movies and art are in her blood!! Is she going to live alone in seclusion with her pets?? Would she have a husband and 5 children that she talked about before?? This interview left me thirsty somehow...

Wow! GHS' thoughts are always evolving . One never know what is in her head and every interview is a pleasant surprise and refreshing. I can sense her concern for her environmental footprint...I do feel anxious when I read she is thinking of living quietly somewhere alone with her pets.I don't want to her to be a recluse....How and when will we ever get to see her then?? (  (

Hello sunnies,

finally watched Running man,its not just my 1st time watching rm but also my 1st time watching a korean variety show..

Oh my it was hilarious..still cant believe sjh couldnt push down hyesun without kjk's help,i was amazed at both the ladies..Hyesun is indeed tougher than i imagined.I watch emergency couple,dint have any idea that sjh was so fit to push down seungri and khn..lol..

i loved the 1st challenge and how Kjk couldnt run and slowed his pace,and was holding hands with hyesun and literally walking.haha..loved the pink colour on his cheeks..hehe!

The puff of wind from the mics was so funny as well,here kwang soo was so funny,3 fried eggs,no poached eggs..lol..and everytime the wind puffed his mouth his face looked so funny.haha..

Angel eyes could have easily won,poor lsy he lost lots of energy in practice..

just one dissapointment-i really wanted to see hyesun and mr giraffe kwang soo interacting but it dint happen :-P :-P

enjoyed the show alot,hope hyesun appears in more variety shows so that i can watch them.. :-)
