[NEWS] 120611  Goo Hara Spotted Making Eye Contact with BF Yong Joon Hyung Onstage

Official couple KARA’s Goo Hara and BEAST’s Yong Joon Hyung were seen making eye contact onstage. Recently, a video from finale of “MBC Korean Music Wave in Google” was uploaded to various online communities, displaying the short, yet personal moment between the couple.

In the clip, the members of BEAST stood next to KARA as they waved goodbye to the audience. However, when the Wonder Girls came on stage, they yielded their position to the girls and moved behind KARA.  During that brief moment – whether by chance or not – Yong Joon Hyung moved directly behind his girlfriend Goo Hara. Goo Hara was also seen looking back and making eye contact with him, piquing netizens’ interest.

Netizens commented, “Was it simply by chance that Yong Joon Hyung stood behind Goo Hara?” “They’re looking at each other,” “Are they still dating?” “Awww, I love this couple,and more.

BEAST’s “Ugly People” claims 1st spot on real time charts!

Showing their power on kpop world, B2ST is doing great with the release of their new song for  BIG‘s OST
The song unexpectedly is on the 1st spot on Daum Music Chart beating the long awaited new f(x)’s album ….
The song is also doing really well in other portals like Melon ( 1st spot on the “OST List” and 2nd on the general list ) or Naver Music ( 2nd spot on the TOP 100   ) .

Atleast this time the article mentioned it was a Realtime chart, which doesn't mean much, but if the ost song is really #1 on Melon's ost chart then congratz. As if now they already fell off the Top Ten on the main Melon chart.

Edit: They fell out of the Top Ten on Melon's ost chart already. Sometimes though, I wish article writers and tipsters would just wait for the daily or weekly results.

@myboyRobin Oh, the song is off the top 10 already? I see. Yeah, this kind of reporting based on spur of the moments can easily skewed the overall performance - it'd be a bit embarrassing when those who are not familiar with k-charts assumed BEAST tops everyone by reading this article in a glance while others non-fans would think we're blowing our own horns. 
Anyway, I love this boy's answers. Yoseob got cookie points from me today.

Yeah and the ost song fell out of the Top 50 on Melon's main chart, and still hasn't enter the Top 10 on the ost chart. Right now, people in Korea are barely getting up from sleep, so I'll check the chart again in a few hours to see if they climb back up. I'm not holding my breath though, it's common for an ost song sung by idols to not do well.

 

Edit: Ok I checked backed, and at 3:33pm (here in the states anyways) the ost jumped backed into Melon's main chart Top 50 to #28, and around 4:45pm, the song moved up 9 more spots to #19.

^Isn't that the Instiz DAILY Chart? It can't really be the weekly chart since the weekly chart came out yesterday, and it's now the start of the new week. But thanks for the heads up noijingjing^^

As of now the ost song is #6 on the Instiz chart.

EDIT: Hmm looking at it again, noijingjing actually posted the Instiz realtime chart, where B2ST is #3, while the #6 rank is the Daily chart, because the points are being accumulated there. Since most Korean citizens are asleep right now, I can check (or any of you guys can check) the Instiz chart later when people over there wakes up and that's the time when the most downloads are happening.

^ Yeah, the song didn't chart very well the first day of its release, especially in Melon, always around 20-30th spot. But it actually did pretty well today, here are the cap I made from Instiz real time chart (June 13 at 0:30AM), now it's at #6 weekly. The green box is the song's charting on various digital music sites, and it's currently #1 on 3 sites and in top 10 on most of the other sites too (too bad it still didn't chart well in Melon, at #22)

Anyway, Hateful person did pretty well till now, at least better than their previous OST (among their OSTs, I think only Yoseob's No charted well before, being in top10 Gaon weekly  ) Let's see if this song can keep this pace for a long time ^^

^Yeah I know what the green box is for. I guess the song needed a day for everyone to start listening, but it could also be because the show 'Big' is also starting to increase in ratings, so the more people watch the show, the more people will be exposed to the song. I noticed the ost song is doing better on the smaller digital charts, the only big digital chart where they appear in the Top 10 is the Mnet chart. Melon being the bigger chart is more important, but then again ost songs have difficulties on Melon. I don't expect the song to sell well still maybe just average. Nontheless I see this as a way for B2ST to slowly ease their way back into the Korean music scene after being absent for so long.

Hyunseung is so freaking beautiful, I can't stand it sometimes!!!!! @-)

Ahaha, I've been meaning to read up and understand how k-digital charts work, especially on how to read the trendings on Instiz, but always failed to fully comprehend it. Thanks noijingjing, hakina and myboyRobin for interpreting these for me ^^.
Any news on the Hangul Smart Domain?  I remember clicking on it before and BEAST was leading at #1, now looks like they're #2 behind Big Bang.  Is it correct that the top 3 gets their own domain in hangul?
Edit: 픽션뮤비 = Fiction MV at #2. Didn't realise the screen cap I took didn't show BEAST's name.

I wasn't expecting Hateful Person to do very well on the charts as it's an upbeat OST song from a new drama. Usually, ballad OST songs do a lot better than upbeat ones and when the latter do chart well, it's due to the drama's or the group's (usually girl groups) popularity. Big has just started so it's highly unlikely for the song to have charted because of its popularity.
Even though Hateful Person isn't charting extremely well, it's still quite good in my opinion. Being able to chart on small sites might not be a great achievement in itself, especially if it's real time, but we need to take into consideration that Hateful Person was able to rank #1 daily on Daum, Cyworld and almost in Soribada despite the releases of new songs from popular groups. 
It's dropping on the charts now, though. It might stop charting or keep charting, it will depend on the drama's ratings and if the song will still be played on the next few upcoming episodes.
Hateful Person is so far Beast's most successful OST song as a group (Yoseob's No from Poseidon OST charted well) and whether it's on MelOn's top 10 or not (it peaked #7), it's a great improvement. Most OST songs from any boy groups barely rank on iChart let alone Gaon so it just proves Beast's new charting power, even for an OST.
The only reason, however, as to why Hateful Person is already on iChart's weekly top 10 (currently #6) is because it was released on a monday so it had time to rank high and it did. Now we wait for Gaon's numbers next week as they are more accurate than iChart's.
This just makes me anticipate Beast's comeback even more. If after their success with Fiction and ORD they're able to chart decently with an OST song, I wonder how their comeback song and album overall will do on the charts. If they choose the right song, it might be a bigger hit than ORD was. They have everything to just keep improving charting wise. I have high expectations for them

@helloimdoubleb My goodness, reading your thoughts above (especially the last paragraph) gets me too excited for BEAST's comeback than I normally allows it!  Thank you nonetheless, I really enjoyed your assessment. Ahaha.. I tend to moderately keep my anticipation in check least I'd be setting too high of an expectation.
According to @B2STRISING , Soribada is offering free downloads of Hateful Person at their site (click here for the freedownload link). I'm not sure if I did it right though, I gave up trying to download it but thought I'd share it here.

^I don't get it, why would Soribada offer free downloads of "Hateful Person?" They don't want the profit? Or is it for charity/awareness? Is it some sort of weird tactical promotion strategy? Someone please explain @_@

 

@helloimdoubleb I noticed that B2ST's ost song would rank pretty well during the time most Korean citizens would be asleep, and when they wake up in the morning, the song would stay high for awhile until a couple hours later they would start to drop. I'm curious as to whether the fans are staying up at night to stream the songs, and when it's time to go to school, the song starts to drop. Streaming is great, but I sincerely hope that some people are actually buying the song. I don't expect the ost song to sell super amazing, I just get the feeling that it's just to help ease B2ST back into the music scene after their absence.
