Actress Ha Ji Won revealed she went through a slump while filming one of her most successful dramas, ‘Secret Garden‘.

On the upcoming episode of SBS‘ ‘Thank You‘, Ha Ji Won, Lee Moon Sae, Suh Hee Tae, and Cha In Pyo were whisked off to a vacation in Namyangju, Gyeonggido, where Ha Ji Won spilled tears while opening up about her past hardships.

Ha Ji Won shared, “To be honest, when I first started filming ‘Secret Garden’, I didn’t even want to look at the script. On the first script reading day, I came without reading the script. The script didn’t catch my eye at all so I couldn’t read it. To that extent, I was unable to focus on ‘Secret Garden’ because it was a time when I had a lot of mental distractions,” making viewers relieved that she ended up sticking with the drama and filming memorable scenes in K-drama with Hyun Bin.

On the upcoming episode of SBS’ docu-variety show “Thank You,” actress Ha Ji Won talked truthfully and openly about her career and her projects. In particular, she talked about her mental state while filming her hit 2010 drama, “Secret Garden.”

Ha Ji Won stated, “When I first started filming ‘Secret Garden,’ I didn’t even want to look at the script. I didn’t even read it before attending the first script reading.” She added, “At that time, I was internally struggling to the point that I couldn’t focus on ‘Secret Garden.’” It is reported that Ha Ji Won had tears in her eyes as she spoke about that difficult time.

This came as a shock to many on the set of the show as Ha Ji Won is widely known to always be prepared and very diligent for any of her projects.

@pieracapozucca My pleasure! Besides The King 2 Hearts, Secret Garden is another all-time favorite K-drama of mine! Me too, I'm happy and proud of her for taking up the role (Gil Ra Im), it was challenging. I think the role was really meant for her, since writer Kim Eun Sook herself had once said that if it were not Ha Ji Won, there was no any other actress that could portray the role of Gil Ra Im. I salute her for always bringing each and every character she plays into life. Let me quote what Hyun Bin said, "Without Gil Ra Im, there will never be a Kim Joo Won."  
For tomorrow's episode, let's wait and see.
