Daesung Shares BIGBANG Is Forever In Handwritten Letter Following Departure From YG Entertainment

 

 

BIGBANG’s Daesung has shared his excitement for the next chapter of his career!

 

Last month, Daesung parted ways with YG Entertainment after 16 years. However, the agency emphasized that while Daesung has left the agency, he is not leaving BIGBANG. The same applies for fellow bandmate Taeyang who was announced to have signed with THEBLACKLABEL the same day.

 

On January 2, Daesung uploaded a video on his YouTube channel D’splay titled “One day, I got a mysterious diary.” In the video, Daesung zooms in on a sketchbook that captures his handwritten letter with drawings, expressing his gratitude for his time at YG Entertainment.

 

The following is his full letter:

Thank you. “Y”ou were “G”ood.

Thank you. I feel sincerely grateful [to YG Entertainment] for looking after me all these years and helping me grow into the person I am today. With deep gratitude in my heart, I embark on this new adventure.

I would be lying if I said I wasn’t scared. As nervous as I am about taking this bold step forward, I believe it will definitely be worth it in the end.

 

The year 2023 is approaching. Without an inkling as to what the future holds, I take this step forward into the unknown with only a brave heart.

 

And I intend to walk down this road with stoic determination. Though I am still quite inexperienced and lacking in many ways, I hope you will continue to show your love and support for my journey. Thank you.
