omg i'm really hating the jang miri character right now... she reminds me of the lady from flames of desire which i stopped watching cuz she was so evil selfish bean pie and annoying... i really dont like characters who hate on the world just cuz they had a hard life... a lot of ppl who experienced hard lives don't chose to step on ppl and use them in order to get on top. i especially hate how miri is so fake and will do everything she needs to get what she want, she's so selfish and doesn't care about anyone but herself.. hee joo got fired b/c of her and she could only worry about not getting herself in trouble! wtf!

and i honestly don't see why yoo hyun fell for her from the start.. i mean she is so COLD to him... can't he see that she's a bad woman, wat does he like about her (well she is pretty and i guess that her eyes look like his birth mom's was the trigger.. but still).. i hope he doesn't fall for her even further after she realizes he's a chaebol and tries to get w/ him... but that's probably wat's gonna happen =(

and btw.. does anyone suspect that yoo hyun's stepmom is miri's mom who abandoned her? hmmm was there any info on lee hwa's past before she married yoo hyun's dad? haha i feel like it could be possible...

Look on the bright side

You should keep watching to see her get torn down then. because i do not see things ending well for her.

Yeah but because of Miri's background her morals are different from other peoples. She's one of the children who slipped through the cracks, and she has been let down, by her parents, her foster parents and even society.

So she will hate on the world, but now her actions are at the point where we cant justify it because she isnt acting for her own survival anymore, she wants to rise to the top.

For me Miri is the character that is to be loved/hated+despised/supported at the same time. I want to see her keep going because i understand where she's coming from but now that she has crossed the line and acting immorally out of her own volition its the pull of seeing how far she goes with the lies and how it twists the people around her and how it all unravels in the end.

Ohhh... it's difficult to say how I feel about Miri- and I think we're meant to be conflicted about how we feel about her. Just as the main characters will come to feel too.

But for sure I'm like the other four leads- MH is cool and yet vulnerable, YooHyung is adorable and charming, and yet it is surprisingly Heejoo I'm most attached to right now. Perhaps it's because she's right now the most generous of the four of them, and wronged too. Miri steals from her, and she gets into jail (albeit briefly) for it. She has great talents, but lost a chance to prove it because her documents weren't there. She has a crush on YH but is willing to set up YH with the one he has a crush on- Miri instead.

So far, she's been nothing but a honest friend to everyone, and yet she isn't just a sweet cute thing, since she clearly wants to be a good architect and has the ambition and talent for it, plus she wasn't afraid to try to fight for her job when she's fired, nor will she give in and take the easy route by taking on a job on some committee of the hotel.

In any case, I'm resigned to HJ not ending up with anyone since our two male leads will be, I predict, both helplessly in love with Miri. And I'm all for it! Yay for complex love stories!

But I'd like to hope for two things for HJ- one that if HJ is actually be set up to the Miri's arch-enemy as she is the one who "discovers" the truth behind Miri... I want HJ to stay a likeable character. I get it that she's likely to turn darker... fighting "poison with poison", and I welcome the dark, everyone's got a few skeletons in their closet, but I'd like her to stay 'essential' a "good guy".

On the second level I hope HJ gets over her crush on YH. Too painful. I want HJ to stay out of the emotional bottomless pit and instead be a key plot type of character.

Sigh... sadly I think I'm going to be disappointed on both fronts, but one can hope!

I feel like I've short-changed Miri a little here, she is an amazing character, not to mention I think she's absolutely gorgeous. I'm female and STILL I feel her attractiveness! Plus I'm feeling her with both the men here. And I want both guys to get so tangled in her they don't know how to pull back anymore, and don't even want to. It'll be the heart of this story.

Plus it'll be a delicious watching-a-train-wreck-in-action sort of fascination to see her realize that YH is the true powerhouse in the hotel and turn her sights to him, and getting him twirled around her little finger, turning MH, I expect, into a frantic, jilted lover.

My post was mostly to say "Ouch!" from HJ's point of view, and hope (against logic) that somehow HJ's feelings can be spared. Alas for the less-than-important characters whose lives are simply so much broken leaves that get trodden on in the tussle that is the role of the main characters!

Hi Ngthunien, I guess I'm not sure what you mean by "bright" but I want her to stay "good" and "dignified".

_If_ she's going to be the person who fights Miri, I know she'll have to turn gray (i.e., use somewhat under-hand methods, and certain she can't hesitate to push the destruct button on Miri so she'll have to be COLD to her erstwhile 'friend') and I'd relish her powerfully and ruthlessly playing this mind-chess game opposite Miri.

But I'd rather she not become fiendish herself (i.e., want to crush Miri out of jealousy or hate... I know- a very very fine distinction!), or worse, pathetic (e.g., clinging desperately to YH) like other 2nd leads.

I get it that if she does, it might be the best thing for the show. Could be a certain justice to all the role reversals- Miri going to Japan for HJ, Miri 'switching places' with HJ via stealing her documents, and maybe finally HJ turning evil/pathetic because of her hate of Miri's actions.... which is what might have happened to her if she had been the person sent to Japan as rightfully she should have been.

I just like HJ's little generous streak and general 'good guy' and dignified role now- and I hope she keeps it. Ideally she'll play an instrumental role in Miri's redemption and then gracefully bow out of her hopeless crush. But I'm afraid this being melodrama, the lead characters will get to be towering heroes/anti-heroes and heroines/anti-heroines, while the 2nd leads will be their foil.

We'll see. With luck I'll have to eat my words when the writers turn out something surprising, but just in case, for those of us who like HJ I say "We should like her while we still can!"

just started watching this drama and find it is quite interesting. Yuuchun's character is soft but i sense he can be ruthless when he wants something badly like Miri? Maybe he will turn into another Frank Shin who went all out to get the woman he loves......only thing is I feel there will not be any good ending for Miri .... awww, i hate sad endings

Thank you to all for posting all these wonderful pictures; I've waiting forever for them. I am so looking forward to watching these scenes in the upcoming episodes.

Miri is definitely not a very nice person now. As a Lee Da Hae fan, I would like to see the character she plays redeems herself and has a good ending. After all, Miri has had a very rough life. She is not all bad; I believe there's goodness in her. This is evident in how she looked out for HJ in the orphanage and it's only natural she feels resentment towards HJ after what life has dealt her. To her, the only protection is to be with someone with power. If Miri does turn for the better, it'll definitely be more challenging for Lee Da Hae to portray this transformation and more interesting for the viewers to watch.
