Big Bang will not perform in MBC’s ‘50th Anniversary Korean Music Wave Concert’ 

It was just announced that Super Junior, KARA, and Big Bang will not perform at MBC’s “50th Anniversary Korean Music Wave Concert in Bangkok“.

MBC will be sending their ‘Show! Music Core‘ staff to Thailand on March 1oth to prepare for the epic event.

The concert will feature 15 popular artists, who have reorganized their schedules in order to participate in this overseas concert.

Big Bang will not be participating, since MBC’s list of performing artists was already finalized before they released their album.

YG Full Family shot endorsing Nikon!

YG and Nikon announced plans to continue their joint partnership, which has proven to be a mutually beneficial relationship at the press conference.

Nikon Imaging Korea revealed that they would feature the YG stars in their year-long campaign. The campaign is called ‘A Shot A Day‘, and Nikon products will be used to capture the stars’ daily lives, which will be later released in an episode format.

YG Family attend Nikon press conference!

YG Family, attended and posed for reporters at the ceremony held on March 8th at the Hyatt Hotel in Hannam-Dong, Seoul that marked the co-marketing and partnership between “Nikon Imaging Korea & YG Entertainment” for 2011.

YG Entertainment’s Big Bang, Se7en, 2NE1, and Yoo In Na graced the occasion.

Rumors of an advertisement endorsing Nikon from the YG Family have also been going around after actor Dong Nim made a tweet saying:

& there we spot TOP freezing at one

point,during their last batch of chorus.

I feel that TOP's really changed

in the way he performed & rap

as compared to before GD&TOP album.

He don't like to move around & do much

action anymore,but rather focus more

on his classy rap & his expressions.His rap

has become more classy,sophisticated & laid-back

as compared to the intense one he had before.

A big change there.

On the side note,Taeyang is getting

hyper these days.Or maybe,he is

getting more open about his feelings

to the public.

I cannot wait to see the

reunion of Dumb & Dumber onscreen.

^^ LMAO! i LOL'd so hard when it came to that part. i was confused for a sec with what formation they're making, i thought it was the "V" one that's why TOP's at the back but then i saw 4 boys in one line up front... then TOP stepped forward. LOL. there's just got to be a FAIL from TOP whenever they're dancing. never change TABI!!!

also, TONIGHT won MELON's NETIZEN POPULARITY BATTLE for last week. for this week, WIR CAFE STL and HU are all part of the 10 nominees. kVIPs will probably go for WIR this week since its at the top right now, then move to the next songs in the following weeks. GTOP set a record for winning it 3 straight weeks with OY, HH and KO. they won both months for December and January too... thus they had that MELON greeting video recently uploaded. kVIPs will probably aim to get all songs to win if STL and HU would still be up after next week.

Big Bang's New Album On US Billboard Charts

The idol group Big Bang's album, recorded in the Korean language, entered the US Billboard chart without a debut in the USA. Big Bang's album entitled "Heatseekers Albums" ranked in 7th place for the first time. The latest mini album, which was released on February 24, has been ranked in 7th place in the category for new singers' chart, which is to be decided by the number of album sales, and ranked in 3rd place in the category of "World Album" on February 12. Their agency YG Entertainment said on March 4, "The fact that album had been ranked in 6th place on the iTunes America Top 100 charts might be the driving force for its entering the Billboard chart."

Big Bang's album could not be ranked on the main charts such as the "Hot 100" and "Billboard 200," but could be ranked on the independent category chart, but it is still a meaningful feat. Singers such as the Wonder Girls and BoA have debuted in the USA and their names have been listed on the Billboard chart, but Big Bang's case was different because they achieved the result only with their album, which was produced solely by a Korean producer without any promotional activities in the USA. The agency continued, saying, "This album has been included in the top 10 not only on the American chart, but also on other iTunes charts in countries such as Canada, New Zealand, and Finland. As digital media has shown advanced technology, Big Bang's achievement could prove the new possibility of having a new opportunity for K-POP abroad without an official debut."

The Wonder Girls' album "Nobody" and BoA's first debut album in the USA entitled "BoA" have been ranked on the Billboard main chart at the 76th spot on the "Hot 100" chart and 127th place on the "Billboard 200," respectively. In addition, Korean singers such as Kim Bum Soo, Mink, S-Blush, and Skull have listed their names on the category chart as well.
