ah he just keep coming back to her haha ..~ well okay he was really so clingly ~ walk walk back and still drag her away and walk one more round say how come so fast they already reach ~ oh ya and the piano scene was pretty cute . i think haha .the fingers touching and then er ..how close he is to her she was trying to learnt the tune he play for her before on the phone ? ....haha she was suppose to tape him for some promotion clips .but then ended up er getting taped themselves .that one was too obivous the tape recorder ..aiyooooo ! i was like oh ya wait till leena see this .but er i never expect to be such a big screen even i go omg ! er .that is abit too huge screen to show that scene ..i bet she will have heart attack and poor philip ! ! ....

I'm almost certain 187cm equivalent to 6'1 is inaccurate (i'm assuming you used onlineconversion...I recently did a project/paper on the median weight and height of the various Asian ethnic groups ). My brother is 184cm which is a little over 6 feet and I'm 167cm (5'6) and the height difference isn't as visibly noticeable as SDY and HHJ. Han Hyo Joo is 170cm (5'7) and even she looks short next to SDY. *Sorry about the rant! It's my paper talking!! HAHA!!*

I don't know if Philip is going to be the super sweetheart for the next few episodes. You know, I think that if Philip found out the truth about Chris and what he sacrificed to save Eun Young's life, I think he'll give them his blessing.

I have watched 11 yet since subs don't come out til tonight, but the caps for the preview of 12 looks so romantic with the hug from behind. Is that the new k-drama trend?! Before it was the piggy-back ride, not it's the hug-from-behind! Haha...

What if you could never forget that one person? The person you shared that spring with? In order to escape debts, Jaeha and his father runaway to the family's home town, a small island isolated from the rest of the world. While Jaeha's father goes on a short trip, he leaves his son under a friend's care. Scared his father would not come back, Jaeha begins collecting money to buy his own boat ticket. However, his plans change after befriending Eunyoung, the father's friend's daughter. Eunyoung was born with a sickness and spent most of her childhood at home. She constantly prays to make a friend, and she finds this friendship in Jaeha. However, after a tragic accident, the two are split...only to meet again after 15 years.

I think we concluded that the reason for the low ratings is because KBS allows their members to watch the episodes online, while MBC doesn't. So if someone had to choose between a KBS or MBC show airing at the same time, they would watch the MBC show live and watch KBS online, which wouldn't help contribute to ratings.

This is not entirely true. All the broadcasting companies, including MBC AND SBS also allow people to watch all dramas and variety shows they air on-line. The only difference is that watching KBS is FREE while MBC and SBS charge a small fee to watch. The fact that one has to pay to watch MBC and SBS shows on-line may have an insignificant impact on TV viewership. But as the fees are so nominal (about 60cents per show), it's not really a deterrent to watching it on-line. Plus the clubboxes are VERY popular, so people are watching all kinds of shows on their computers, where they can watch the shows WHENEVER they want to versus the rigid time schedules that one has to follow if they want to watch it live on TV.

I think, however, there are significant OTHER factors that may have impacted the ratings. One, the buzz around the casting of this series has generally been negative. Please keep in mind that I'm talking about the folks living in Korea and not those abroad. Yes I know that people like the show on this thread and think it's great, but that's not the general consensus in Korea and we can get into how that's not fair, but that's another topic altogether so I'll just stick to the ones impacting the drama now. After the mediocre reception of the PD's "Summer Series", people expected quite a lot (I would venture to say too much, actually) for the last installment of the "Seasons" series. At the very most, they expected a stellar cast. Instead, YSH PD went with virtual un-knowns, with the possible exception of Daniel Henney, as we all said, was not that impressive in his previous role in "My Name is Kim Sam Soon". When it was leaked that he may be cast in the lead role, there was quite an uproar. Then it was stated that they were still looking for a lead actor. Sung Yuri, in the meantime was chosen as the lead actress and people were not happy with that choice, either. For whatever reason, Sung Yuri changed her mind and declined to act in the series. Then the lead actress role went to Han Hyo Joo (who, for the most part was only seen on the MBC sitcom, "New Nonstop") and then the lead actor was found. YSH PD took a great risk in choosing virtual un-knowns and thrust them into this series and people were not impressed. Yes, there was a general buzz surrounding Daniel Henney (the Korean women think he's just so good looking) but not that much interest in the STORY. You know it's bad when there is more demand and interest in the theme song from the series than the drama series itself (it's the #1 sought after song for women between the ages of 22-35, [source: Yonhap News Service, Korean edition]).

Plus, as I have stated before, this series, possibly more than his other previous dramas, has taken an enormous amount of time to get it going. Korean people are not generally known for their patience (I should know...I am one) so I think people just lost interest when the plot development was still undergoing an incubation stage after 5 episodes. This is the general consensus of many Korean forums in which netizens are discussing this drama. The other criticism is that the storyline seems disjointed and not flowing as well. The drama is full of metaphors and symbolism but it's not being told very well in a fluid manner.

It could also be that given the amount of variety offered in Korea where live television is accessible with a flick of the remote, people are watching a lot of different shows and not necessarily on the major networks. There has been a general decline of viewership overall with shows offered by the "Big 3" broadcasting companies while, like the U.S., cable television is increasing its viewership. It's not like for us here or outside of Korea, where we rely on either clubbox, this forum or a videotape store to watch the shows and then we have to invest a lot of time to do watch and therefore may attract loyalty. We don't have the luxury of the flick of a remote to watch them at will. We have to select the few we think are worthy of our time and efforts to watch. I know it sounds weird to say it takes effort to watch, but we all know it does.

In any case, this hasn't been a groundbreaking or fantabulous (yes I know it's not a real word) drama, but by gosh, I can't seem to not watch it. Maybe it's because since I've invested so much time into this series already, I might as well see what happens to the end. It's got me watching anyway; ratings or no.
