Kang Il's character is interesting too! It sounds like the role is as important as In Suh's.

dunno what to say. i was just watching tian mi mi last night, (partially though) and was shocked to learn the news today. i was so looking forward to this collaboration but then, out of respect, i won't delve anymore into the what must've beens.

i initially wanted to wait for the drama but then on second thought, i also wanted to visualize how Eune would look like in this series. she's just so ready for this.

without meaning to be rude, i wonder who's on the list now to replace +Park Yong-ha. probably those who have just finished their ms? Jae Hee, Jo Hyun-jae, or Cheon Jeong-myeong (i think his mgmt is on the look out for a good follow up project after CS)

so shocked to read about Park Yong Ha's death...he was a talented actor and I was really looking forward to seeing him on Love Song.

As for shooting...I'm sure the production team is scrambling right now to find a replacement..though Park Yong Ha the actor can never be replaced, the drma will go on....

Sighhh...replacement..hmmm... whoever the actor is has to have that trustworthy, innocent charm about him. CJM would've been great...but he just finished Cinderella Unni..not sure if he'd jump in to a new project so soon.

Same goes for SJS....

The selection of Hallyu stars Park Yong Ha and Yoon Eun Hye would have made the process smooth. A representative from Love Song's production company Verdi Media said on the 30th "Tomorrow (1st) we had planned to go on a business trip to Japan to talk about investment and other issues. Finally, made it into this thread. Been planning to drop by ever since finding out that YEH would be the lead female.

Before going any further, thank you ocha for starting the thread.

To continue, this is the kind of role I have been wishing YEH would take up as her next project. And my wish came true. I just know that YEH would nail this role.

Just so sad that production is in a dilemma after PYH passed away (RIP). Sstill can't wrap my brain around that. I am not his fan but I had a heavy heart the whole day yesterday after reading about him. Maybe because it just came home to me (again) how fragile life is and how vulnerable our favorite actors are.

Anyway, I think it would be kinda hard for the production company to find an actor who would readily take on PYH's role. True, the role is a dream role for any actor worth his salt, but whoever will be offered the role will surely have a hard time making a decision. I know i would, if I was an actor and the role will be offered to me. I'd be in a moral quandary. Idk if I am making any sense. Anyway, whoever takes on PYH's role, the best of luck to him.

I have to say this though - I find the second male lead character more interesting than the male lead (just based on the description for each characters). I find the Kang-il character much more layered and more deeper than In-suh. How I wish my fave actor (need I name him? it's already obvious from my avatar and sig who he is, right?), could land that role. It would be interesting to see him playing a devious guy for once.

Btw, I have not seen the original movie and don't plan to until after the drama is finished. I read great reviews about it but i want to watch this drama with nothing to compare it with (acting-wise). I just want to be surprised.

Well, whoever gets to take on PYH's role and even if my fave actor doesn't land the second lead male role, I will still surely watch this drama when it airs if only to see YEH come into full bloom as the great actress that she is.

Speaking about Jo Hyun Jae...I think he's more suited to be In Suh... he has that honest, believable vibe about him.

i actually agree with prissymom -- after reading the synopsis of Kang II , i think his character is more interesting - has more layers.. but we don't know, perhaps the writers will surprise us about In Suh..

Although..hmmm...maybe a close friend of the late Park Yong Ha might just take this role and dedicate it to his memory. Kindda of like an homage to what would've been his role.

A gentle male lead could be Jung Il Woo, Chun Jung Myung (who can also be Kang-Il), Won Bin (who can also be Kang Il)

But an interesting trio would be formed if Lee Min Ho is Kang-Il and Jung Il Woo would be In Suh...is that the name of the male lead?

I can't see Jung Il Woo in this project though..he looks way too young to be in that 'oppa' role to YEH. Lee Min Ho though 3 years younger than YEH looks mature enough to play an 'oppa'-like character.

Oh no doubt the situation is delicate....I can't even imagine what craziness is going on within the production team right now. How long should they wait before contacting another actor...how should they approach the subject....will this drama be delayed...if so what's the repercussion when it comes to dealing with foreign investors....just so many questions that the production team has to address.

I think the two would make a good looking pair on screen.

I dont think the younger brigade will work well with the character...

by younger brigade..i mean lee min ho, kim bun, si won, ss501 leader, or any of those idol stars.

this project according to me needs their leads to me above 25ys for sure....

i disagree with you prissymom. I think, if i wear to be in his friends shoes, i would do the project, dedicate it to my friend, and all the money i made from the drama and my fee's i would donate it to his charity or help his company.

I would do it for him.

I wonder if he is the only son. That really sucks! I feel bad for his parents? Who is going to take care of them now?
