Rain to Hold First Japan Fan Meeting Since Marriage

 

Artist Rain is holding his first fan meeting in Japan since his marriage earlier this year.


On April 9, Rain shared news of his fan meeting 2017 RAIN JAPAN FANMEETING THE CONFESSION by sharing a poster through his personal Instagram.

According to the poster, Rain′s fan meeting 2017 RAIN JAPAN FANMEETING THE CONFESSION will begin in Nagoya on April 27 and he will also be visiting Osaka and Saitama between April 29 and May 7.


In addition to the photo, Rain also wrote the message, "Japan fan meeting soon. Everyone, let′s meet right away, I am waiting."


Meanwhile, the upcoming event is especially gaining attention as it marks Rain′s first solo fan meeting in Japan since his marriage to actress Kim Tae Hee.

Wedding gifts from Rain Hong Kong clouds

19 January 2017 was a day to toast for many Hong Kong clouds.  Our relationship with Rain over the past 15 years has way exceeded idol and fans.  He is like a family member to us.  Of course the Jung family should celebrate and congratulate our man^^

 

“白頭偕老，早生貴子” is a typical Chinese wedding congratulation message.  The literal translation is: to be together till silver haired, to have adorable children soon. The Chinese pronunciation also contains homonyms "head" "shoe".  We have therefore selected some gifts incorporating this message for the newly-weds.

 

1. Couple diving pillow case.  (pillow with homonym "head" in Chinese).  We know Rain and Taehee enjoy diving.  They can now dream of diving in their sleep^^  

 

 
 
 

2. Burgundy and pink slippers (slippers have homonym "shoe" in Chinese). Wishing them lifelong pink romance, mellow as the greatest burgundy wine as years go by.

 
 
 

3. It is Chinese tradition to present a dragon and phoenix quilt to the newly-weds. Since Rain and Taehee are the perfect dragon and phoenix couple already, we decided to present them with a forever one heart quilt instead.  The matching pillowcase has J & T print.

We have ordered a couple mug as well, but the parcel was lost during shipping....

A wedding celebration can't do without a banquet and toast.  The Jung Family banquet was held on 8 April.  We gathered together, wrapped the gifts, wrote our best wishes card, and even took a congratulation video message for Rain. And we had a big feast!

 

 
 
 
 

Three big boxes of gifts were sent out to Korea on 10 April.  Thank you Rain Company for passing these to Rain for us!  We have also sent our video message.

 
 


These are not expensive items, but they represent Hong Kong clouds' best wishes and most sincere congratulations. We believe Rain will feel our hearts and our love.   And we certainly look forward to another Jung family feast!

Korean Celebrities Turn Out In Full Force For Coldplay, Concert Takes Moment To Honor Sewol Ferry Victims

 

British rock band Coldplay has stolen hearts all over the world during their decade-long career and South Korea is no exception!

Through April 15 and 16, Coldplay held concerts in Seoul Olympic Stadium with an audience of 45,000 each night. Many of these included Korean celebrity couples enjoying a date night out like Rain and Kim Tae Hee, Lee Hyori and (non-celebrity husband) Lee Sang Soon, and Jung Kyung Ho and Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung.

Other celebrities spotted at the concert included Park Shin Hye, Younha (with friends Yeeun and Baek A Yeon), Ryu Jun Yeol, Yoo Hee Yeol and Yoon Jong Shin (who attended together), BoA (who attended with EXO’s Suho and Super Junior’s Leeteuk), Jung Woo Sung and Lee Jung Jae (who attended together), Kang Dong Won, Uhm Jung Hwa, Han Ye Seul, Roy Kim, Jung Ryeo Won, Sandara Park, and CNBLUE’s Lee Jong Hyun and Kang Min Hyuk, Kim Jaejoong, Oh Hyuk, Kahi, and Jo Kwon.

During the April 16 concert, Coldplay took a moment to honor the third anniversary of the Sewol Ferry incident. While singing “Yellow,” yellow ribbons were displayed on the screens, and Chris Martin then took 10 seconds of silence to honor the victims of the tragedy. The band also sang “Fix You” as a tribute to the victims.

[K-Talk] Rain, Kang So-ra to star in ‘Uhm Bok-dong’

Singer-actor Rain and actress Kang So-ra have confirmed their roles in the upcoming film tentatively titled “Uhm Bok-dong.”

“Rain and Kang So-ra have decided to accept the lead roles. Rain will play Uhm Bok-dong, a cyclist hero, and Kang will play an independence fighter, an official related to the film project said.
This will mark Rain’s return to the big screen after tying the knot with actress Kim Tae-hee on Jan. 19.
Min Hyo-rin and Park Jin-joo, who starred in the comedy-drama film “Sunny” (2011) with Kang, will also star in the upcoming film. Lee Bum-soo will not only star in the movie as Uhm’s teacher, Hwang Jae-ho, but will also produce the film with director Kim Yu-sung.
Other cast members include Go Chang-suk, who was in the MBC drama “Kill me, Heal Me” in 2015, Lee Gyoung-young, who starred in the crime-action film “The Merciless” (2017), and Lee Si-eon, who will star in the JTBC drama “Man X Man.”
“Uhm Bok-dong” tells the story of the real-life cyclist Uhm Bok-dong, who became a symbol of pride for Koreans during the Japanese colonial era. Filming will start this month.

10 Wealthiest Korean Stars In Terms Of Real Estate Holdings

 

 

Wealth can be measured in various ways, and real estate is a prime example.

During its April 18 broadcast, SBS’s “Night of Real Entertainment” took a look at the 10 Korean celebrities who currently hold the most amount of real estate, after recent news of Jun Ji Hyun’s recent purchase of a multi-million dollar building in the Gangnam district of Seoul.

The actress now holds 77 billion won (approximately $67.7 million) worth of real estate, making her the second wealthiest in terms of property holdings. In a previous assessment back in 2014, Jun Ji Hyun was notably the only female in the list of wealthy stars based on similar factors, and had placed seventh at the time.

SM Entertainment’s founder Lee Soo Man maintains his spot in first place, with 110 billion won (approximately $96.6 million) in real estate, while YG Entertainment’s founder Yang Hyun Suk also continues in third place, holding around 53.1 billion won (approximately $46.7 million) of property.

Singers Rain and Seo Taiji are in fourth and fifth place, with holdings worth 43.8 billion won (approximately $38.5 million) and 41 billion won (approximately $36 million) respectively.

Actors Jang Geun Suk, Jo Jae Hyun, Kwon Sang Woo, and Song Seung Hun follow in sixth, seventh, eighth, and ninth place, respectively. Jang Geun Suk owns 38 billion won (approximately $33.4 million) in real estate, Jo Jae Hyun owns 36 billion won (approximately $31.6 million), Kwon Sang Woo owns 35 billion won (approximately $30.8 million), while Song Seung Hun owns 33.4 billion won (approximately $29.3 milllion).

In 10th place is entertainer and retired athlete Seo Jang Hoon, whose property holdings worth 30.9 billion won (approximately $27.2 million) were recently revealed to the public.

[V Report] Rain shows off his awards, work studio

Kicking off the week on Naver V app’s Sunday line-up was singer-actor Rain, inviting V app fans to take a virtual tour of his work studio and practice room.

Right off the bat Rain went over to his large wall shelf where he says he keeps all of the trophies and awards that he’s won during his career. He showed various personal keepsakes, such as wax feet molds from when he filmed the 2009 Hollywood movie “Nina Assassin,” and the high-chair name plate from when he filmed, “The Prince.”

Rain said that one of his most prized awards was the one that he received at the MTV Movie Awards for his role in the film “Nina Assassin.” The star also revealed that he will be staring in a new film.

“This right here is my exercise bike, and the reason I have this is because I am currently filming a new movie,” he said. “The movie is about bike riding.”
