1. Steve Jobs

The temperamental Apple Inc co-founder was kicked to the curb in 1985 after a fallout with then-CEO John Sculley. He returned to Apple in 1997 and proceeded to revive the flagging company and turn it into the epitome of cult branding. Jobs once said his sacking from Apple was actually “the best thing” that could have ever happened to him. He said: “The heaviness of being successful was replaced by the lightness of being a beginner again. It freed me to enter one of the most creative periods of my life.”

2. Rain

South Korean superstar and music producer Jung Ji-Hoon, better known by his stage name Rain, began his world domination in the early 2000′s. But success did not come easy: Rain’s family was badly affected by the recession of 1997. Unable to pay rent, his family had to be taken in by relatives after they were evicted by their landlord. His mother was struggling with diabetes because they couldn’t afford medical care and insulin. According to Rain, he was rejected time and time again by artistic management companies who said he was too ugly to be a star. He was finally recruited by an entertainment company in 2000. His mother died that same year...

News has it that Rain and Kim Tae Hee were reportedly spotted on date in Shanghai, China, while Rain was there for his scheduled activities.

Naming it a “Shanghai Romance”, Korean news site STARNEWS reports that according to several officials, the actor-singer and actress spent a romantic time with each other, proving their sustained love relationship that has lasted for more than two years.

The two publicly announced their relationship in January 2013, while Rain was still serving his mandatory 2-year military service. After completing his military service in July 2013, Rain was photographed on his dates with Kim Tae Hee. While there were rumors spreading of the two getting married after Rain got baptized in July last year, Rain’s agency (then Cube DC) denied the rumors.

Rain was then in China to film his new Chinese drama Diamond Lover, which was a project that could draw him $5.5 million USD worth of earnings. Kim Tae Hee personally made a trip to Shanghai for a surprise event by showing her boyfriend support at the drama filming set. The drama’s production staff were also pleasantly surprised by her unexpected appearance.

Rain, Kim Tae-hee reunite in China

Singer-actor Rain and his actress girlfriend Kim Tae-hee are still together.

According to multiple industry insiders on Monday, the two recently reunited in Shanghai, China.

Kim flew to the city to meet Rain, who is currently shooting the film “Diamond Lover” there.

The A-list couple began dating in late 2012 and have been enjoying time together outside of Korea to avoid public attention.

In late 2013, Kim also flew to Los Angeles to meet Rain who was staying there for his film “The Prince,” and the two visited a theme park together.

Rain and Kim were involved in a rumor last year that presumed they would tie the knot after it turned out that Rain, a Buddhist, had been baptized at a Catholic church because Kim is a devoted follower of Catholicism.

But the two denied the rumor.

Kim is having some downtime after her previous drama series “Jang Ok-jung, Living by Love” (2013) ended, and Rain has been working on his career in China in recent months.
