The Asian Couture Federation has been sharing and spreading the news through official SNS accounts that Rain will be holding a private performance for the Awards Gala on November 25th.

The Asian Couture Federation (ACF) is a non-profit organization that is aiming to specifically support and promote Asian couturiers who are based in Asia. The founding president of ACF is proud of how far the organization has come in just a year, and the evening of Awards Gala where Rain will be performing “pays homage to this, with the presence of so many designers, key fashion influencers, and media personalities.”

Rain’s private performance will be held during the Awards Gala at the Marina Bay Sands located in Singapore.

You know what they say – good things come to those who wait.

And wait we did. Rain graced the glitzy Asian Couture Federation Awards Gala held at Marina Bay Sands last night, where he picked up an award for Style Icon 2014.

Dressed in a crisp white suit with geometric prints, he posed for photos before being promptly whisked off-stage, leaving even the emcees slightly mystified at his disappearing act.

Shortly after being presented the award, he took centre-stage for his stunning performances of ‘Hip Song’ and ‘La Song, from 2010’s Back to the Basic and 2014’s Rain Effect respectively.

After which, he uttered his first – and last – words of the night with a big “Thank You!” before disappearing backstage once again.

class="news_brief"The ACF fashion awards gala, held at the Marina Bay Sands on Tuesday evening, celebrated the top couturiers in Asia.

SINGAPORE: The Asian Couture Federation (ACF) held its first fashion awards gala in Asia on Tuesday (Nov 25) at the Marina Bay Sands (MBS).

Organised by FIDé Fashion Weeks, the ACF awards recognise the top couturiers in Asia. A total of 400 guests, including top fashion luminaries and well-known celebrities, gathered at the Heliconia ballroom in MBS for a night of fashion showcases and exclusive performances. 

The awards gala included four fashion shows, featuring original works from the ACF designers, Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture, Basil Soda and Italy-based Renato Balestra.

Among the many prominent couturiers was Japanese fashion designer Kenzo Takada, who received the ACF Lifetime Achievement Award. Singapore couturiers such as Frederick Lee, Willabelle Ong and ACF Governor Daniel Boey also received awards for their contributions to the island’s fashion industry.

The gala ended with a performance from K-pop superstar Rain (Jung-Ji Hoon), who also received the Asian Couture Federation Style Icon award.
