The could of, would of, should of’s of K-drama casting.

Actor Chun Jung Myung, who recently wrapped up the tvN drama “Heart to Heart,” recently sat down for a slew of post-drama interviews. During one he revealed that one of the reasons why he decided to appear in “Heart to Heart” was due to his relationship with the director of the drama, Lee Yoon Jung.

Lee Yoon Jung made a name for herself as a director in 2007 through the hit drama “The 1st Shop of Coffee Prince.” Chun Jung Myung was expected to take the role of Choi Han Kyul, which eventually ended up with actor Gong Yoo, due to a promise he made a year before with Lee Yoon Jung. However, his filming for the movie “Hansel and Gretel” overlapped with the production time of the drama, and Chun Jung Myung had to give up the role. On this loss, Chun Jung Myung commented, “That is something I will regret all my life.” He added, “I apologize to Gong Yoo, but I am just stating how I truly feel.”

Which Korean actress do you consider to be the queen of romantic comedies?

Local news source enews24 recently released a special report in which they named Jang Nara, Han Ye Seul, Hwang Jung Eum, Jung Yu Mi, Gong Hyo Jin, Kim Ha Neul, and Son Ye Jin as seven of the most notable actresses in the genre of romantic comedies. We add Ha Ji Won, Yoon Eun Hye, and Choi Kang Hee to the list to ask, “Who is your favorite romantic comedy queen?”

Yoon Eun Hye

A list of rom-com queens wouldn’t be complete with Yoon Eun Hye who built her post-music career through the genre in dramas like “Coffee Prince” and “Lie to Me.” And it doesn’t hurt that she has great chemistry with so many of her co-stars.

BY Julie Jones | Apr 03, 2015 08:30 AM EDT

4.     "Coffee Prince": Yoon Eun Hye plays a girl who must disguise herself as a boy to get a job. She is hired by a coffee shop owner, played by Gong Yoo, and begins to spend time with him. He finds himself falling in love and wonders if that means something about his own sexual orientation. Give it a few episodes and you might fall in love with the drama as deeply as Gong Yoo falls for Yoon Eun Hye.

5.     "Princess Hours": In this drama, the writers imagined what it would be like if Korea still had a royal family. And they also wondered what would happen if the Crown Prince, played by Joo Ji Hoon, married a commoner. As the princess, Yoon Eun Hye breathes some fresh air into the stuffy palace but her impulsive nature also creates some protocol problems.

Two out of five are YEH's. Couldn't helped but give in to wishful thinking that in the very near future YEH will once again have dramas of this calibre.
