I actually enjoy looking at the Melon real-time chart every 2 hours.

"Don't Cry" is making wonders, I tell you.

It's like we're having peak period every 2-3 hours(usual pk pd: 8-11am).

I read people posting that Bom's "Don't Cry" is the fastest single to get

off-the-roof in Melon's real-time graph.

I know I'll see this amazing feat again tomorrow..

It's 3:30 AM KST and I just woke up. A lot of people are bugging me about what is "hit the roof" in Melon. So here it is.

When you go to Melon's realtime chart page, you'll see the top 3 songs first with their hourly "performance" graphs... Bom's Don't Cry apparently "hit the roof" of the graph window.. I think a lot of Koreans consider it phenomenal because:

1.Don't Cry hit the roof and stayed there for, more or less, one hour (APR 21). I hope you saw that.. ^__^ It was almost straight actually. The song hit the roof again at aprrox. 12MN (APR 22).

2. Melon, being the largest music portal in Korea (largest # of users), have charting system that's very difficult for new songs to break into. A lot of people are posting that Bom's DC is the fastest single to hit the roof. We usually see new songs taking over at peak period (8am-11am) but Don't Cry did all that with style. Refer to #1.

3. Lastly, after peak period, a song's real-time performance slowly dwindles down then settle at some point. As for Don't Cry, its performance rises significantly every 2 hours (APR 21). 'Twas fun looking at MELON's realtime graph every 2 hours. kekeke

NOTE: I think the better term for DC's amazing feat on Melon is "through the roof" or "off the roof".. The graph is suppose to go higher but graph window has limits. Just saying.

Let's admit it, 2NE1's fanclub is not that large compared to others so it's quite illogical to argue that BlackJacks did all the streaming. A lot of Koreans love the song.

Bommie unnie's Don't Cry hit Melon's roof again at 8 to 9am. It's barely 1 PM KST and DC's graph is starting to rise again.

^ That is true, it's good to see that even non-BlackJacks can recognize Bom's amazing talent! :3 I am so proud of Bom, her song greatly surpassed expectations and is owning the charts like nothing.
