oh my lord.. possibly the longest backlogging in a while!

i'm finally back in hong kong! so hopefully get to develop all the rolls of film that i've taken

[for those who know what i'm talking about] citysuper in timesquare has THE BIGGEST SECTION of lomography i have ever seen -.-

oh and I took out my Gakkenflex for a test run today x] I'll post pics up soon as I get it developed B)

GAKKENFLEX WHAT WHAT

lucky you! i wanted to get it but i was in toronto and they were selling them in hong kong and my mom didn't know what i was talking about when i asked her to get it and well.. long story short.. i missed the opportunity..

though i believe i have too many cameras already.. ughhh maybe i'll just keep an eye open and see if i'll bump into any of these somewhere here......

your pictures make me ITCH to go and order one... argh. no.. must resist....

-bad news: my vistaquest is dead X_X ......

i have 6 rolls of film to develop.. $$

(sorry no contribution :( )

QUESTION: anyone can suggest a good film scanner? (that isn't too big?)

I think I missed a day haha. It's ahrd to keep track of which photo is from which day because the data for each photo is all just 3 September 2009 lol. I think I'll start again when I'm back in Sydney but I'm still taking my vq out everyday.

I love the colour the skies are in Vietnam. I think it's influenced by the massive amounts of air pollution here in Ho Chi Minh City.

yuns sunset :D Vietnam looks like such a fun place to shoot! loving the old-ness haha

miiloverx2 i'm not sure how small you mean but heaps of people from flickr recommend the Canoscan 8800F. downside is that it doesn't take 120 film. x|

if you're after 120 scanners then I think Epson has a few as well.. I wouldn't suggest the portable scanners though! apparently the quality is not good.

wiwi_an eh? photo lab places usually have scanners and they'd scan the film for you either for free or just a small additional fee to developing costs. I usually have to pay $5 to scan my negs.

d0ts haha! you should show them other peoples' camera collections from flickr! they have hundreds of cameras!! :Q

Guest breathless.

miiloverx2: Love the last one. The quality of the LCA is too good !

Not really lomography, but I'm fiending for a Contax G2. I was going to upgrade to a d700--but I've decided to go with a four-thirds system instead and then just buy a good solid film camera. The G2 + say, the EP-1 would not even come close to the d700 price. (Also eyeing the Konica Big Mini). Here is some camera porn -- http://tokyocamerastyle.com/

Does anyone here shoot film other than lomography? Would it be a lost cause to have a film thread?

yes the LCA is just TOO GOOD to be true haha

i shoot film too : ) (you've probably seen my camera collection on tumblr LOL)

nikon FE2, nikon F75 -.-, olympus om10, konica C35 rangefinder.. and uh natura.. though lomo sells them now?...etc etc ugh.. camera fetish much?

i rmb seeing the contax when i was in japan... oh the buckets of drool i left the shop with............ it's such a loveeely camera!

i guess another film thread would be fun? as long as ppl dont start mixing up theses2 threads.. but the whole "whats so good about film" thing will be tedious! hahahah

Have anyone experimented with a pinhole camera? I was thinking of getting a Zero 35mm pinhole camera, but at the other hand i want a Nikon FM/FE/FM2 (the price is almost the same). So i was thinking to make one myself

Anyway, what i wanted to ask is: Have anyone tried to make one? I looked up some information on the internet. It says you can use roll-film, but i wasn't sure how to wind the roll after each time i shot a photo? So any ideas?

Breathless it would be nice to have a film thread. I use film but not lomo, so it would be nice to change ideas over there. And i have a few questions regarding the cameras, not knowing where to ask ...
