Can anyone summarize what happens between President Guk and YR? He seemed pretty upset.

In ep 44, apparently Guk misunderstood that DC and Lawyer Kim tried to take away his money invested with Rebecca (it was only Kim's idea). Guk is upset because YR has betrayed him once again, providing DC the whereabouts of WG. Will have to check the subbed ep later to get full details.

As for ep 43, YR gave DC his retirement cash as exchange for some real estate ownership he held while serving Guk. YR tried to cut off all dealings DC has with Guk, but more importantly, the cash will help DC as TS Electron is in big financial difficulties. Before they parted, YR told DC to value his own life and work hard (for his dream). She also told him not to interfere anymore in the casino business as it's her job now, obviously keeping him out of Guk.

Most of what we are seeing should have been revealed a number of weeks ago. The writers, in my opinion, are simply dragging their feet in the development and resolution of past story lines.

To me, I find the drama well paced. We can't expect the birth revelation to happen in the 20+ episodes as they won't be able to stretch the story up to 50. As it takes place in the 30+ episodes, every 1-2 episodes are focussed on one character's reactions. Some may find this boring but for those who watched in details they will enjoy how each character reacts differently with so much emotions, pain and dilemma. When we look at MH and DW's reactions, there are already so much substance to read and digest. Not to mention DC, YCH, Mrs Shin, JH etc. Like HJH said in her interview, the story doesn't just end at the birth revelation, but it is how everyone will move on from there.

MH and DW nailed episode 44 for me. Top performance from the two of them. The 2 mothers and all the veterans are great . The best scenes: MH seeking his birth mum and Presidentt OH's funeral. Just brilliant and very well executed.Also all the actors including TH did a wonderful job at the burial scene.

The moral lesson at the end, after the storm, is still letting go and forgiveness

just checking, ep 42 ended with the nurse shooting STH. why is it at the start of ep 43, the nurse is tied up on a chair and bruised, while STH has his arm slinged already from the gunshot wound and in control? is there something missing in the transition?

Here's what I think and posted on last page:

Rebecca is a woman and alone. STH got lucky and was only shot on the arm. Like what he told Rebecca, even the bullet will divert its direction away from him.^^

Obviously his secretary would have captured Rebecca and so on... the PD doesn't need to show every single detail. Back to Rebecca, I think her motive for asking STH out is not really to kill him, as she has informed DW to go to the villa and witnessed his father's evil deeds. Rebecca is prepared to be caught and tortured by STH.

Okay, I don't understand why MH will just leave JH and TH. He wants DW to take care of them? Say what again? Just because he's not their real son doesn't mean that he can't stay and love them. That is a little selfish.........he just ignore his mother--the mother who raised him like that....that's just a little selfish for my taste.

LDW lives his whole life justly and in the end, he's the one that suffer the most.
