Guk admitted a heartfelt confession to DC after the board meeting where DC started to break down with tears...

Guk not only have already accepted the love between DC and YR...what's even powerful for me is that he see DC as his son...

Guk, couldn't stop the good spirit of Lee Ki Chul guiding and burning deep within the heart of DC...

Lee Ki Chul was always with his son DC...he has never abandoned DC...not even once...

btw, does anyone know how come the one that kidnapped YR before in Macau could working back with Guk in Korea and did kidnapped both Guk and YR at the end? how come Guk can forgave him for what he has done to YR? and even gave him a job to work again with Guk?

anyone here thinks DC might give the casino to WG, his brother in law who's married to KS...WG claimed that the casino was his father's before Guk took it from him...

that could really set things right again...and it could be small part of EOE's story of redemption...

Also, I dont know if its just me, but EVERYONE seems to be siding against Dongwook saying that he is evil for turning away from his family. YEs, its true that he has turned on his family, somewhat, buh who turned on his original family first?! Yeah, that would be Myunghoon.

I, in my honest opinion, think that Myunghoon is just a spoiled little kid from beginning till now.

FIRST, He first forced Jihyun to be his wife and breaks her&Dongwook's love.

Now that hes found out that hes part of the Lee family, he is able to turn away from his family and the parents who raised him just like that?

And FURTHERMORE, hes throwing away Jihyun to be a part of the Lee family now? ARe yu Shiitting me? Yu ruin her life & now yur gunna leave her?

& Also, Yang choon hee is kind of frusterating also. She hated jihyun for loving Dongwook and hurt her SO much. But now that she has the son of Myunghoon, she has the guts to threaten her by saying something about using the law to take her son(teho) away from her? Who does she think she is visiting teho against jihyun's will? Isnt in the LEAST she can do to respect what jihyun wants, for ONCE in her life?

No respect at ALL from these two people in my opinion. Its all about what THEY want.

& I mean, who wouldnt feel thrown away and betrayed if their family took in a new son in the blink of an eye.

i'm still looking at MH as the problem here.

DW is acting a bit foolish, but it isn't for no reason.

selfish MH is trying to make things go his way, therefore ruining DW's bond with his family.

i got so mad everytime MH would say something like, "you took away everything that was mine, you should be thankful till this day, and now return to your real family." (or something like that).

i hated him more everytime he said that.

What become of the plan to expose Lee Ki Chul's death ??? I think they shifted to the corruption, bribery, Illegal dealings, and power struggle part too much ... wasnt it about getting truth and justice out for Lee Ki Chul ?

Ji Hyun's father, so no one is going to reveal it ?? and that two tongue snake PA of STH, who's going to expose him ?

It's all been power struggle of Dae Hwa group ... I wish the writers doesn't forget about the vengeance of the past story, that was the foundation of the story wasn't it ?

I just don't know why this drama has to be extended up to episode 54... the script is very chaotic and obviously unplanned....

They were really just lucky to have a very talented actors that shed light on the script..wheww

Some of the scenes still makes me cry though... Unfortunately, my expectations on a good ending was not that HIGH unlike when I was watching the earlier episodes... Anyway, DC was such a great actor!

it was extended because the drama that was suppose to take over the time slot of EOE met with financial difficulties so that's why it was extended...

EOE doesn't follow typical Kdramas...it's safe to say that this drama has so many twists and unexpected developments that fans of Kdramas might not be so accustomed to...but i won't shy away from saying that this drama really was awesome to watch!! great acting by everyone involved...even though i'm not a fan of some of them...they all perform great...

2uss, I love reading your comment on Guk-DC chat at the beginning of ep50. I thought that part is brilliantly done from both writing and acting aspects. Guk’s weakness to face his own deficiency drives him to turn against DC but at the same time he is further gravitated toward DC’s quality as a man in his each attempt to set DC in situation. Eventually, it is not the war between Guk and DC, but a war that Guk had for himself. And Guk won his own war by admitting that he loses the game to DC and asks DC to wash the blood off his hand. Credits to writer’s craft on this part so to allow Guk exits his humanistic block beautifully. “Bravo” to YDG. In all the ridicules, essence, and substances of Guk, YDG make the character alive. And THAT is the professionalism.

I don’t have much complain about DW after he stated that DC’s father used to be the foundation of his life (even though he never see him alive.) A simple fact that sums up DW’s lost in transition. I can understand his effort to restart a path of his own. But what it all means by living a proper prosecutor life – to interpret the law in widest humanistic angle or simply to recite the law printed on the paper? I guess it is all up to writer now…

So DW, used to be the one who denies the fate, now seems to be defeated by a difficult turn in life. Meanwhile, DC is taking another route. Looking back on DC-YR journey, DC has faced up to many problems and dangers. Now finally having YR by his side, DC wants to defy the fate. I do hope writer kindly keeps these two safe and allow this couple together to display the real spirit of entrepreneur (returning/giving back to society), and retire to live a simple ordinary life in the end. (Oh well, just a wishful thinking from my part…)

I was surprised and actually glad to hear MH’s response to DC in regard the loved one. It wonderfully reflects MH’s mistakes he committed in the past and how he grows as he learns from the mistake and guilt. Because of that, MH is able to stand by DC and gives him the needed support and strength. Beautiful!

Ep 49 was clearly Guk-YDG's shining moment, both from the character as well as the brillant actor. And Ep 50 made it such a beautiful "closure" for the most changing, hidden and uncertain character of EOE. Did you once say he needs psychological treatment? Writer did well here. The bonding between Guk-DC is just beautiful and special.^^

Agreed DW's "lost in transition", but am hopeful the writer will bring him back on track eventually. As for MH, his character is almost fulfilled except for the reunite with JH. I see JH's heart is with MH. And for DC-YR, it certainly looks positive and not wishful thinking. DC knows where he is heading and is on track.

Finally, STH has his best moments couple of episodes back. Let's have a little more patient with him, and the writer.

I am very disappointed with the story of east of eden. It is so confusing . Also The actress that play YR is so bad.I get goose pimple when I see her cry. It is so emotionless.Her speech is just like reading from the card. This character she plays is too old for her. She can only act in a young role. Not in EOE.Sorry If I offend her fan but this is what I think.I always skip the part when she is in.
