I can't believe DW is different. At first, I sympathized for him and kinda pitied him.

But now, I feel as if he's taking the whole "bloodline" thing too far.

I agree with you. But I think that's the point that the writer is trying to make. I'm going to hang from a limb here and state that the writer is trying to get the viewers to reevaluate what "bloodlines" and love really mean and compare/contrast that to the love of a family, regardless of bloodlines. For example, prior to finding out about the birth mix-up, DW was always confident about WHO he was precisely because he KNEW he had the love and support of his family. But once DW QUESTIONS and DOUBTS the love of his family because he discovers he's not blood-related, he becomes insecure and validates his self-righteous behavior. It becomes easier for him to embrace someone who keeps saying "You're my son because you're my bloodline" as STH is saying, rather than going back to his family and trying to work out all of these difficult feelings and anxietiesand discovering that it's true love of a family that is the most important thing. And regarding, JH, I don't even think that DW really loves her anymore - or, at least the way he used to. It's just that she's one more person that he's lost to MH and in some way wants to avenge him for taking her away from him in the first place. Yes, JH was his first love, but they have become quite different people than when they were young.

Additionally, to put this into cultural context, Korea is a country that is still very hung up on "bloodlines". Domestic adoptions are rare, precisely because of the stigma of "not belonging to one's family bloodlines". I think the writer is trying to say that love transcends any bloodline ever could and the definition of family is defined by the people who love you, not who gave birth to you. And ultimately you define who you are and how you were raised, not by any bloodlines that gave you life.

And while it's getting easy to dislike DW, I rather think it's intentional. It's like the writer is saying, "Look at what a person can turn into when they become filled with insecurities and refuses to confront their fears and denies to themselves the truth - that a family's love doesn't have to depend on bloodlines. It can make a person who was beautiful become ugly and hateful." That's why I think I pity him now more than any other character because he is using his perception of his family's betrayal as an excuse to not confront his own fears of feeling abandoned. More than anything, though, I still see this drama as one where conflicts will continue to increase and collide unless some serious forgiveness happens. Just as MH asked his mother for forgiveness for all the rotten things he did while under STH's influence, there will only be peace within and externally when people learn to forgive others.

DW is an ungrateful richard simmons and DC should just slap the yellow off his teeth...

JH is a gold digger who is getting on my nerves, I hope she is the real daughter of STH and after DW and JH get together and find out that their half siblings, they would know that it was incest. That would be a good payback, especially if JH is pregnant with DW(half brother) kid.

YR is hot and DC is cool as ever.

MH is beginning to look better and better but should just slap some sense into JH and stand up to her more.

the breaking news of the bloodline hasn't even gotten cold and you can already see DW becoming a d.ouche. he not only begins to act like one, but he starts questioning DC's intentions and actions. all at the flip of a switch, he CONVENIENTLY forgets that DC went through a lot of crap for DW, including his own mother exiling him from the family.

i cannot STAND JH. i can understand her intentions when it comes to taeho, but she's often blind. so i agree, MH needs to smack her. better yet: DC, CH, AND MH can all take rounds. pretty please?

the writers/pd need to show the full fruit of DW's conflict to the audience, and us much as some soompiers may think the "new" dark DW is not believable, Chinese Boards and Korean Boards are all in the majority and see his tranformation as understandable...

i hope the ending will like a banjun drama. with a twist ending. actually DW is helping DC to get STH down to jail and prison. to get a proof for his crimes caused Lee Ki-Chul death. and actually secretly from far, he was looking and longing from his family but he has to pretend that he hates/abandon them so he can get full trust from STH (easy for DW to get closer to STH) and get full revenge. it's so hard to convince me .. but i still hope.

i also don't want to see DW turn into evil person. I understand why he become like this. experienced once with one of my close friends. and actually it's so hurt to see him like that.

This is exactly what I thought.... There is no reason why DW would turn into an evil person suddenly except he is planning to do something big.

me too I hope the ending will be like this cuz i hate to see DW as a bad person betraying his family..

More I see DW today, more i'm in denial state. Hopefully what my minds told me about what I see is NOT true. That he is really against DC .. well actually President Gook specifically. And things become even worst when he find out from STH (he called him) and JH (went to his home) that DC is the new President for International casino. I'm still hoping for a banjun ending.

Today president gook officially handed YR hands to DC. To always protect her after his death. and DC knows about the fake pregnant .. and he talked to YR " ... though you carried Mike's child with you or neither .. i'll still love you .." and she embrace in his hands.

but the happiness will not stay longer, after he met a white man from Macau. this about a casino deal and he forced International Casino to invest (involved??) about 20% (actually 30% after negotiation .. down to 20%). perhaps this is illegal?? This is BAD. coz Mr. Jaeng get mad with DC decision especially when he knew it's because of Young-Ran @ Grace. And he told DC to forget her and let her go (which we know it's impossible for DC). Then he went home, sighing and asked MH to take care of the family and JH to while he is gone to Macau. and MH asked why he needs to go there .. then he said .. ".... because of woman I loved, and I have to protect her .. I have to do this ..." (Notes: the translation might different .. this is from what I understand with my limit korean vocab). Then if not mistaken I heard MH said " .... don't be like me .. I only hurt woman I loved .."

The prosecutor asked DW to withdraw from the case since DC already involved/appointed as new President of International Casino and it will interrupt the integrity of their investigation but DW still insist that he can handled it.

Looks like Tae-Sung company is in big trouble and when JH arrived at the company, the reporters are waiting for her to come out with statement/explaination. She stopped and answered the question but there is one question asked by reporters and she is unable to answer completely. Frm far, MH interrupt and answer it confidencely on behalf JH. But after that JH got angry with him and told him to go. (She is being so means to MH ... why?? because he is now YCH's son?? .. she should think about TH. TH needs his dad to grow up) How could he do it to TH. She should understand the pain of growing up without having a complete family (especially a man name father). Since she never knew who is her father and his identity.

there are so many question in EoE. eg (some of it);

- what happen to mr. baek (he just dissapeared like that after Hye-rin left)

- how about rebecca?? I haven't seen her after everybody knows about the baby-switch.

- does JH know her father already? (or I miss that part?)

::: some of part, EoE story is well develop but some of it, they were just jump to other issue and not resolved so well. anyway i'll still keep watching. Only few episode left. Looking forward DW love story with Hwang Jung-Eum.
