Hi meelis, thanks for sharing these captures from the teaser. Ahhh……..JJM looks so bad here! Hope it's good. I have to watch just to see JJM again on the small screen. He is smoking hot….. I’m seeing well-defined arms.  I should be excited for this. OCN is really doing great this year. Waiting for more teasers.

'Bad Guys 2' PD shares how he decided to cast the leading actors

kim-moo-yeol-ji-soo.jpg

On December 11, the cast of OCN's new drama 'Bad Guys 2' - Park Joong Hoon, Joo Jin Mo, Yang Ik Joon, Kim Moo Yeol, and Ji Soo - and producer Han Dong Hwa attended a press conference in Seoul.

Han PD talked about casting the stars, saying, "I believed that we cast a group of actors who were suitable for the roles, instead of looking at their movie star reputations."

The director continued to describe, "I had the impression that Park Joong Joon sunbaenim would be a great captain in leading 'Bad Guys'...I watched him on the big screen growing up and I'm truly delighted to be able to work with such a legendary actor. Both Joo Jin Mo and Kim Moo Yeol were full of charm as well. As for Ji Soo, I thought 'He looks charming for a guy of a younger generation.'"

Meanwhile, fans can expect OCN's new thriller to air its first episode on December 16.

*** Awww.........I'm happy that his drama, "Bad Guys 2" premiered to a strong start. According to Nielsen Korea, the first episode recorded an average of 2.6 percent in viewership ratings. This is via OCN - In cable dramas, 1%-5% of viewer’s ratings are a standard win. Keep in mind that shows from major broadcasting networks tend to receive higher Nielsen ratings than the ones from cable networks because not as many have access to cable channels. I hope the ratings increase as the EP progresses. “Bad Guys 2” airs on Saturdays at 10:20 p.m. KST.

photo933070.jpg

On the latest episode of the OCN drama "Bad Guys : Vile City", Je-moon (Park Joong-hoon), who was investigating Jin-pyung's (Kim Moo-yeol) murder case, found some suspicious things about Park Gye-jang (Han Jae-young) .

It turned out that Choi Tae-joon (Yoo Byung-sun) was the owner of the phone number that was found in No Jin-pyung's wallet, the man who delivered drugs via a teen named Kim Yoon-kyung (Jeong Ha-dam), the man who stabbed detective Pil-soon (Ok Jae-yeon) to death, and the man who tried to kill Min Tae-sik (Lee Yoon-hee). However, Tae-joon was already dead.

Il-hoo (Joo Jin-mo) was looking for Kim Yoon-kyung when he discovered that there was a mole in Special Unit 3 and told Je-moon what he found.

He also told Je-moon that Joon-hyuk (Kim Yu-seok) was questionable. Je-moon thought Park Gye-jang was Jin-pyung's killer and stole files from the computer. The files told him Park Gye-jang had been in a secret co-investigation with Jin-pyung's former deputy Park Chang-joon (Kim Jung-hak).

Meanwhile, "Bad Guys : Vile City" is on OCN every Saturday and Sunday at 22:00 KST.

Jin Se Yeon, Kim Sang Kyung, Uhm Ki Joon, And Joo Jin Mo Also Not Have Been Paid For Their Dramas

Jin-Se-Yeon-Kim-Sang-Kyung-Uhm-Ki-Joon-J

More actors have been revealed to not have received pay for their work.

Jin Se Yeon has yet to receive pay for her role in the 2014 KBS2 drama “Inspiring Generation,” which totals 140 million won (approximately $131,600).

Jin Se Yeon’s agency, Early Bird Entertainment, confirmed on January 17, “It has been 4 years since Jin Se Yeon hasn’t received pay for ‘Inspiring Generation.’ We have sent documents of proof, and have taken all measures we can as an agency. We don’t understand why the production side hasn’t given payment. It’s very frustrating.”

It has been revealed that most of the actors who appeared on “Inspiring Generation” are still unpaid for their roles in the drama, with the exception of the male lead Kim Hyun Joong.

Although the Korean Broadcasting Actors Union and the Korea Entertainment Management Association have gotten involved, there has been little progress on the issue.

Additionally, actors Kim Sang Kyung, Uhm Ki Joon, and Joo Jin Mo have also not received payment for their work.

A source from the Korea Entertainment Management Association shared on January 17, “We are aware Kim Sang Kyung is owed more than 100 million won (approximately $94,000) for his role on KBS2 drama ‘Secret Agent Miss Oh.’ Uhm Ki Joon has yet to receive 25 million won (approximately $23,500) for MBC’s ‘Hate to Lose,’ while Joo Jin Mo has not received 70 million won (approximately $65,800) for SBS’s ‘Queen of the Game.'”

Sources from both Kim Sang Kyung and Uhm Ki Joon’s agencies confirmed that the actors have not received their appearance fees for the dramas.

The four actors join a growing list of actors who are speaking out about not receiving payment for their work, which includes Kim Min Jung, Sung Yuri, Rain, Lee Na Young, Gong Seung Yeon, Jung Yoo Mi, Kim Woo Bin, and Ku Hye Sun.

Korean TV programs showcased in Miami

SEOUL, Jan. 18 (Yonhap) -- South Korean TV networks showcased their programs during this year's NATPE Miami trade fair, the government agency that organized the event said Thursday.

Considered one of the three largest broadcasting content trade fairs along with France's MIPTV and MIPCOM, NAPTE Miami is the largest fair of its kind in the Americas. The Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) has been participating in the annual fair since 2014, running a Korean pavilion and screening Korean TV programs.

This year, officials from major Korean TV networks such as KBS, MBC, SBS, CJ E&M and JTBC showed a total of 15 programs, mostly dramas, in the "K-content screening" side event at NAPTE Miami on Wednesday.

Among the 15 programs were OCN's "Bad Guys: City of Evil," JTBC's "Woman of Dignity," KBS's "Angel's Revenge," MBC's "Money Flower" and "Good Doctor" and SBS's "God's Gift."

Some 100 officials for major broadcasting networks and content creators from across the Americas took part in the "K-content screening" and showed much interest in Korean TV programs, according to the KOCCA.

"It was a chance to enhance the brand value of Korean content in the North and Latin American markets, which have high entry barriers," Kim Rak-gyun, a KOCCA official in charge of supporting Korean content's advances into global markets, said in a press release. "We'll continue to provide aggressive support so Korean content can reach wider into the world."

   The three-day fair ends Thursday.

"Bad Guys : Vile City" Joo Jin-mo Is Riveting on Screen

photo940681.jpg

Joo Jin-mo kept final episode of the OCN drama "Bad Guys : Vile City" tense.

Jin-mo as Heo Il-hoo struggled to put an end to Jo Young-gook (Kim Hong-pa). He recklessly threw himself at the Dongbang Gang and fought them. In addition, he worried about Jang Sung-chuk's (Yang Ik-june) health and hurried to visit him when he heard something was wrong.

Il-hoo puts his life on the line for what he believe is right. Despite any extreme circumstances, he does what he must and overcomes any obstacles.

In the beginning, he was just a restaurant owner, but he had a unique aura. As the story went on, his scarred life revealed itself and he revealed layer after layer of emotion.

Bad Guys 2

badguys2-540x816.jpg

“Bad Guys 2” is the second installment in a franchise that has set the bar high, as “Bad Guys” was incredibly successful, with a film also on the way. What makes “Bad Guys 2” worth the watch is that it keeps the same grit of its predecessor while also changing the playing field. Our bad guys are battling a much bigger structure and much bigger actual villains. Although heavy with the violence, the friendship between this new group of bad guys is winning as they fight not only for themselves, but for each other.
