On March 12, Korean movie "MBL" starring Song Hye Kyo and Kang Dong Won held a premiere press conference in Beijing.  Director Lee Jae Yong and Song Hye Kyo attended the event.  In the film, SHK is a 17-year old mother who gave birth to a son suffering from progeria.  34-year old SHK admitted that in real life she is not mature enough, is not ready to start a family, not prepared to be a mother yet.  Speaking of the criteria for spouse selection, height, outer appearance, and age do not matter, may even become the wife of a Chinese.

SHK in the firm gave birth at 17 years old.  Thinking back to when she was 17 years old, SHK said her first love was in high school, also around the 17 years old.  If there's an opportunity to return to being 17 again, the thing she wanted to do the most is to learn Chinese because at that age, her memory was very good.

17 years have passed since she was 17 years old.  Now 34-year old SHK is at an age for marriage.  Speaking of spouse criteria, SHK admits that height and outer appearance do not matter, the key point is 2 people having common interests/compatibility.  As for the age, although she said she's not particularly mature herself, her other half needs to be more mature and more sensible than her.  But to broaden the criteria, she said "older woman - younger man does not matter, age is not a problem".

Is nationality a criteria?  Tang Wei married into South Korea, is there a chance SHK might marry into China?  In regard to this, SHK does not deny the possibility of becoming a Chinese wife: "I know love has no borders, if there is a more ideal suitor, then it will not be a problem".

SHK is confirmed not to be in "Broken Hell".  They had an opening press conference yesterday and on the poster, the female leads are Tong Liya and Mavis Fan.  At least this gives us more hope that SHK would star in "Descendants of the Sun" instead

Korea’s ‘My Brilliant Life’ Set For Wide Release in China

South Korean drama “My Brilliant Life” is to get a wide release in China from Friday (March 13).

The picture, directed by E J-yong, is based on a novel by Kim Ae Ran about a couple with a son who suffers from an accelerated aging syndrome known as progeria.

The film is to be distributed by China Film Group, China’s leading state-owned film enterprise, with Shanghai Film Group as co-distributor. The film is expected to open on some 5,000 screens – a far wider release than it received in Korea in September, where it was handled by CJ Entertainment.

It stars Gang Dong-won and Song Hye-kyo (“Hwang Jin Yi”), a Korean actress who is building a significant place in the Chinese industry. She has starred in Wong Kar-wai’s “The Grandmaster” and John Woo’s two part epic “The Crossing.”

“My Brilliant Life” has also been released in other parts of Greater China, with outings in Hong Kong and Taiwan in October last year.

It was also screened at the Hawaii International Film Festival last October as part of its “Spotlight on Korea” section. 

Production was by Zip Cinema, co-presented by Opus Pictures, both of which are subsidiaries of Asian film investment group Spackman Entertainment.

what a great surprise that SHKs is considering KDrama comeback after TWTWB i thought she'll be back on the small screen after 4 years just like before! with the confirmed news of final casting for chinese movie of N Tse excluding SHK , there is a great chance that SHK will participate in "The Descendant of the Sun" and it's another surprise that she will be paired with Song Joong Ki which i never expected as most of the fans wish SHK to be paired with LMH but in fairness with SJK , he's also handsome and a good actor , love his K Drama "Innocent Man" and i dont think there will be problem with their chemistry. just can't wait to hear confirmation about this ,as this is one of the hottest news in K Media lately and most anticipated one! if ever SHK confirmed to star in this drama , really hope that the role fits her to a tee and the storyline is good.  for sure SHKs fans will love to see her on K Drama again!

Reps revealed that the actress is looking over the casting offer and carefully considering the drama. If she accepts, she could possible star with Song Joong Ki, who is also in talks, meaning double the dose of Song's and eye candy!

Annie Yi's 'The Queens' to release on Apr. 16

(CRI) It's been announced Taiwan actress Annie Yi's directorial debut, "The Queens," is slated for release on April 16th.

"The Queens" is a romance based on a novel of the same name.

The film tells the story of three cosmopolitan women, an actress, a PR specialist and a gallery manager, who are all wrestling with the ups and downs of their romantic lives.

The film stars South Korean actress Song Hye-kyo, Taiwan actress Joe Chen and mainland actress Vivian Wu.

Annie Yi, on top of being an actress, director and singer, is also a former judge on China's Got Talent.

Song Hye Kyo in Talks for Same Drama Song Joong Ki Is Considering

Song Hye Kyo is currently in talks to be the female lead of writer Kim Eun Sook’s upcoming drama “The Descendant of the Sun.”

A representative from KBS has stated, “Both sides are considering carefully. Song Hye Kyo and the producers are deliberating and will make a decision later.”

Writer Kim Eun Sook has previously written SBS hits “The Heirs” and “Secret Garden.” NEW (Next Entertainment World) will be producing the drama. It will be their first time producing a drama. They recently worked on the movie “Twenty.”  Song Joong Ki is also considering joining the drama as the male lead.

KBS continued, “Since our goal is to broadcast in China at the same time [as Korea], we plan to broadcast in the latter part of this year” and “filming is scheduled for late May.”
