Song Hye Kyo Donates Pamphlets In Honor Of Korean Independence Movement

Song Hye Kyo, alongside Sungshin Womens’ University’s professor Seo Kyung Duk, has donated Korean pamphlets to the Shanghai Korean Cultural Center.

As a part of the “Meet Our Country’s History Abroad” series, the actress donated 10,000 Korean pamphlets to the Korean Cultural Center in Shanghai. The pamphlets introduced Korean independence fighter Yoon Bong Gil as well as related historical sites such as private galleries, cathedrals, and more. This is her third time participating in the series as she previously donated similar pamphlets to the cities of Tokyoand Kyoto.

Professor Seo Kyung Duk confirmed, “It’s true. This past Korean Independence Day, along with actress Song Hye Kyo, we donated pamphlets about the history of the Korean Independence movement in Shanghai.” He continued, “Next year is the historic 100th anniversary of the Samil Independence Movement. Starting from Shanghai, where there were prominent independence movements, we will actively bring this project to other cities as well.”

Song Hye Kyo and professor Seo Kyung Duk have previously donated Korean pamphlets on many historical sites abroad such as those of the Korean provisional government, the Los Angeles Ahn Chang Ho house, the Utoro village, and more.

Jang Seung Jo Addresses Reports Of Him Joining Song Hye Kyo And Park Bo Gum’s Drama “Encounter”

Jang Seung Jo may be joining appearing in tvN’s “Encounter” (formally known as “Boyfriend”)!

“Encounter” will explore the tale of Cha Soo Hyun (Song Hye Kyo), the daughter of a politician and ex-wife of a chaebol who has never been able to live her life as she pleases, and what happens when she meets, by chance, Kim Jin Hyuk (Park Bo Gum), an innocent young man who cherishes and happily enjoys his ordinary lifestyle.

Jang Seung Jo was reported to be taking on the role of Jung Woo Seok, Cha Soo Hyun’s ex-husband and heir to a major conglomerate.

On October 10, a source from his agency Neos Entertainment clarified, “Jang Seung Jo has received an offer to play the role of Song Hye Kyo’s ex-husband in tvN’s new drama ‘Encounter.’ This is not finalized. He is positively considering it.”

Jang Seung Jo most recently appeared in tvN’s “Familiar Wife,” where he displayed exceptional chemistry with Han Ji Min.
