Song Hye Kyo and Kang Dong Won appeared at the Grand Cinema tonight to attend the gala premiere for their movie MPL, attracting over 100 fans who brought along banners.  Song Hye Kyo was wearing a short shiny gold dress.  Kang Dong Won is stylish dressed and wore a hat.  The two said a greeting in Cantonese.  Kang Dong Won said he's very happy to come to Hong Kong and have so many fans' support, the fans in the audience started screaming crazily.

The two opened the champagne and toasting ceremony.  Song Hye Kyo wished for box office success in Hong Kong, said the film has warmth and hope everyone will bring their family to the theater to support it.  There were a lot of fans from China holding their idols' names, from time to time the two would look at their fans and smiled and waved.  They appeared for about 10 minutes and then went into the theater to thank fans and have closer interaction with them.

An article from yesterday's event:



Popular Korean actress, Song Hye Kyo, and actor, Kang Dong Won, came to Hong Kong for "MPL" promotions, nearly 200 fans attended last night's event. The two main leads played games with their fans, but there was a female fan who grabbed Kang Dong Won's hand and refused to let go even when repeatedly asked to do so.  It resulted in having three security guards taking the fan away, the atmosphere was tense.

Because of an earlier rumor of a "secret date" in Paris, although the two have already cleared it up and explained it was because of work that they were there together, at the promotional event last night, the two seemed to have zero interaction in order to avoid rumors, standing on stage with some distance between them.  It was mentioned that in the movie the two will be playing as parents for the first time, caring for their son who is suffering from "progeria".  Song Hye Kyo said that acting out the role from age 17 to 34 years old is not that difficult since the role itself is similar to her age and personality, but there was a dialogue that gave her some difficulties, in the film she has to say, "I'm the mother, so I understand your difficulty!".  She admits it's difficult to understand the dialogue (referring to the fact that she's not a mother yet in real life).  In the film, Kang Dong Won is a 17-year-old father, before filming he had worries about his performance being unconvincing.  In addition, Song Hye Kyo in the film has to use foul languages, asked her whether it might affect her goddess image?  Song Hye Kyo laughingly said "This is to show what kind of mother I am in the film, but I usually will not say those words (in real life)!"

In the past, Kang Dong Won had came to Hong Kong for vacation, but this is the first time coming to Hong Kong for work.  Song Hye Kyo beside him joked that before arriving in Hong Kong, he was worried that nobody will recognize him, but when they arrived, the place was full of fans to support them, was very pleasantly surprised.  Kyo said that she has acted in different types of roles, but still want to try out horror and action films.  Kang Dong Won is interested in the Chinese market, hopes to have the opportunity to participate in Chinese films in the future.
