wow what an awesome update MasY, DoTs filming now caught the attention of the local Greek media ! looks like its SHK in white with SJK on the small boat,   happy in a way that they are featured by Greek media but hope they wont reveal much of the filming that can spoil one's excitement...... though cant wait for DoTs airing , I prefer that the drama teasers/filming leakage wont be that much , I still love that there's still an element of mystery or surprise for this highly anticipated k drama!.

Due to this premise, 80% of the pre-produced series is filmed outside of Korea. Zakynthos

Zakynthos is an island located in the west part of the country in the Ionian Sea and it is a very popular tourist destination. The island is well known for its beautiful cliffs, caves and crystal clear beaches, one of which is used as a filming location. Navagio Beach (Shipwreck Beach) is named after a smuggling vessel which washed ashore and has been a permanent feature there since 1982. According to local news portal,Zante Press 24, writer Kim Eun-sook took a special liking to the island and this beach in particular during a past visit. The portal also reports that the Zakynthos municipality and its mayor, Pavlos Kolokotsas are in close contact and cooperation with the drama's production.

Arachova

Arachova is a mountain town in mainland Greece. Due to its location near the capital city of Athens and its proximity to the Parnassos Ski Center, the town is a very visited location during winter. It is also only 10km away from the archeological site of Delphi, widely known as the site of the Pythia oracles, who were priestesses of Apollo. Local Arachova blogger Efi Stergiou covered the drama's filming in her blog Ntefi. According to miss Stergiou, the crew filmed there on the 5th and 6th of October and Greek actors were also part of the scenes. The blogger has shot an exclusive video of the drama's chosen locations, including a short clip from a scene filming.

Lemnos

Lemnos is an island in the northern Aegean Sea. Due to its flat geography and volcanic origins, the island has many easily accessible beaches, rich soil and special local produce. Lemnos has great archeological importance and this includes the ruins of Poliochne, which is considered as one of the oldest organized settlements in Europe. Lemnos has a variety of unique locations, such as its salt lake, which attracts flamingos and other migratory birds. The sand dunes of Gomati is another point of interest, often earning it the title of 'Sahara of Lemnos'. According to local news portal and radio station, Limnos FM 100, 'Descendants of the Sun' will be filming there, as well as in other areas of the island, including its capital harbor town of Myrina. The municipality as well as local home owners are reportedly working with the production.

H upcoming Korean drama "descendants of the sun" to be displayed at the beginning of 2016 began shooting in Greece and will last one month. The crew and the actors have arrived in Greece from 28 September. On 5 and 6 October found in Delphi for the movie. Among Korean actors found and Greek actors. The drama focuses on military stations than Korea and for this reason was chosen and Greece.

The island of Lemnos is expected to visit in late October, TV crew from Korea to carry out shooting for TV series account.

According to preliminary information, at the end of October is expected to visit our island 50-60 people who will set up cameras at various points of the island.

^ thnx MasY for the reports ^^ . I've read earlier news that Dots has been finished their shooting in Korea 80% ?? and they have only the remaining scenes in Greek left where story begins. I hope we don't have to wait for than 3 months...it's long enough waiting already  . Hopefully the dots will do well at ratings, it's no guarantee though Ms Kim is a famous writer, but i am glad Korea is starting to do something with their working system, honestly it's horrible.

+Pho Qh let me summarize what they said in the greek news report.. So they 
basically said that the locals are really curious and welcoming towards 
the drama production, thats it's a big budget production with famous 
actors in their countries and asia in general, that they wanted a new, 
exotic place for the shootings and were between Singapore and Indonesia 
but someone saw a pic of zakynthos and said that they should go shoot 
there wherever it was, so they ended up on the island. They also choose 
to shoot on the most remote beaches and not the touristy spots and that 
they will shoot a lot of episodes there and then move on to Arachova. 
Then they started talking about how this will help the tourism of the 
island..thats it basically!!
